Moon was frozen. Vortex had fainted... again. And this time, the hurricane was bigger. She got a sense that that wasn't normal. When Red spoke to Sage, to tell her to bring Vortex to the Green Moss, she snapped out of it. "I'll go with her," she said quickly. She rushed over to Vortex's side, nudging her. Again. Why did this happen again?

Sage was getting scared. She tried shaking Vortex awake, getting harder each shake. She could feel the shadows pulling at her mind, and secretly wished red could slip in her mind and help.

Moon didn't listen to Fawn and hurried after Sage.

She glanced at Sage. "Stop shaking her..." She told Sage, her voice shaky. She knew it wouldn't help, and... What was that? A strange... feeling tugged at her. It didn't help that her feelings were mixing with Sage's feelings of panic (yes she can sense other cats feelings sometimes). The feeling seemed to be coming from... Sage? But it wasn't an emotion... It was something stronger. It felt like snakes coiling in her soul. "What..." she said, looking at Sage.

Sage looked at Moon confused. Huh? She asked. This cat was giving her the side eye! She let go of vortex, wondering why the other cat had just said "what"

The feeling subsided. Moon shook her head, disoriented. "N-Nothing..." She turned her attention back to Vortex. "She's breathing," Moon said in relief. At least there's that...

Sage looked at Moon suspicously. A-are you sure? She mewed tightly. If there's something you want to tell me go ahead. Sage told Moon gently.

"It was nothing," Moon insisted. She didn't know what that had been, and why it had been coming from Sage. But she couldn't talk about it now. She flicked her tail uneasily. She wasn't about to talk about her power to a near stranger. She looked down. "Vortex is still unconscious," she said, anxious to change the topic.

Sage nodded, and felt something tug her brain again. Be quiet! She told herself, her shadows. But their only response was, It's not nothing. Sage's eyes widened, but she kept her jaws shut. For she was to frightened to speak.
