Featherkit wandered over to where Cherrykit was sitting, and then shouted across the den. "Over here! I'll be your friend!" to the kit who had shouted. She then tried to start up a conversation. "Hi! I'm Featherkit! Who are you guys? I'm kind of new to camp."
Featherkit gave a wide smile. Maybe I'll make friends after all!

cherry'kit smiled sweetly,"im cherry'kit nice to meet you!." cherry'kit put her muzzle in her paw to cough and lifted her head to keep talking,"wheres your mother and father?" she tilted her head to one side, curious.

Featherkit stuttered her reply. "I- I don't know... my mother abandoned me..." She studied Cherrykit's reaction, hoping that she would still want to be her friend.

cherrykit smiled and looked at her paws,"my mother died of an illness..." she wasnt sure what illness took her mother but she knew it was a bad illness,"im very sorry for your mother leaving.."cherry'kit dipped her head a little.

cherry'kit noticed that through these pasted couple sunrises her illness was getting better, maybe i didn't have mothers illness after all! she thought
cherry'kit did notice she was coughing less and feeling better, she smiled wide and happy she was getting better.

cherry'kit remember she had not seen her foster mother for some time now, she would look around the nursery for sugarapple. cherry'kit let out a sad sigh when she didn't see her foster mother anywhere in the nursery.

cherry'kit smiled and giggled almost ignoring the question,"oh i just asked what happened to featherkits mom!" she felt really bad for featherkit and tried to come up with an idea on how to cheer her up, "lets play hide and seek!" she announced cheerfully

Asterkit sprinted into the den. He was almost grown, almost reaching apprentice aged. He raced around the younger kits, long limbs letting him easily dodge the small piles of fluff, half his height or smaller. He raced around the nursery at full speed, moss and bracken going flying under his paws. He skidded to a stop at the entrance to the nursery, thin chest heaving. His huge ears swiveled back and forth, long face split in a huge smile.

The tom smiled at the younger kits as he plopped down. "Hey Cherrykit, how are you?" He asked. "Honeykit, how are you?" He asked his two foster sisters. Sugarapple had taken in the young tom when he was about three moons old. He recognized the two she cats from when he was inside earlier.

"Oh hello." He said, his expression splitting from his happy smile to a cold, "I'm better then you" look, when he spoke to the kits he didn't know. Who were they? Oh well, they were beneath him.

He turned back to his foster sisters. "Have you two seen Sugarapple lately?" He asked, sharp kitten claws working the moss beneath his paws. "Are you doing any better Cherrykit?" he asked, tilting his head at the shekit.
