"Daaaaddyyyyy!" Robinkit bubbled. It came out very muffled, though, because she had what looked like two colorful feathers in her jaws.

Taken slightly aback, Cardinalsong blinked bemusedly down at her. "What've you got there?"

She placed the feathers at her feet, being uncharacteristically gentle. "Emberkit's dad gave us feathers!" she exclaimed, "This one's a... blue... something..." she indicated the bluejay feather, "but this one—" she pointed to her red one— "guess what this one is?" She did not wait to hear his guess. "It's a CARDINAL! Just like you, Daddy!"

Cardinalsong looked the red feather over, amused. "So it is," he replied.

"Isn't that just so so COOL?!" she looked around for Kitekit. "Kiiitekiiiit!" she called. "Kitey Kite Kite Kiiiite!"

As Kitekit's interest was piqued from her own little treasures and she made her unbothered way iver, Cardinalsong couldn't help but let out a disbelieving laugh; he was just so, so grateful for his and Petrelstorm's kits. He really just did not know what he would do without this little family.

[ aaaah so sorry for such a late response! I was focused on our clearing posts and I guess my eyes skipped over this one! long post to make up for it lol :heartbounce: hope you don't mind me powerplaying ember walking in behind robin! :grimace: ]

Weepingwillow blinked, "Emberkit says he thinks they'll get better.... he thinks there just resting to play with him one day. But I think he's starting to not even believe himself." Weepingwillow mewed, cutting off her mew as Robinkit came racing in, a calmer Emberkit behind her. "Blue-jay" Weepingwillow mewed as Robinkit couldn't find the name, "Emberkit? Did Nightwhisper give you something to." Weepingwillow mewed. Emberkit looking up and purring, "Mhm! An owl feather! Daddy had a lot of them so he gave me a small one. He said not to break it." Emberkit mewed innocently, giving Robinkit's tail a small tug to try and get her to confirm his words

(Do you think Robinkit and Emberkit could be besties :3 )

Olivekit stretched and sat up. She yawned as her eyes fluttered open. The sun shone onto her tortoiseshell coat and landed on her multi-colored eyes. She then surveyed the nursery, hoping someone would notice her desperate attempt to make a friend

"Yeah, a bluejay!" Robinkit agreed exciteably. When Emberkit prompted her, she nodded very fast. "Yup, he did! Nightwhisper's like super cool. But not as cool as you, Daddy!" she assured him. "You're super duper cool!"

Kitekit finally finished her meandering, distracted path and reached them. "What's going on?" she mewed.

"Kite, guess what!" Once again, Robinkit was not actually interested in anyone's guesses. "I found the coolest most awesomest trasures of all! You don't have any like them I bet you!"

"Really?" Kitekit blinked at her, amazed! What could she possibly have that was so cool and amazing?

"Yup!" Robinkit boasted. "Emberkit's dad Nightwhisper gave us three whole feathers, and they're all super duper cool!" She went on to explain that the blue one was a bluejay, and the big, cool brown one was a whole owl feather!

"And this one—" she indicated the cardinal feather— "I bet you'll never guess! It's the best one of all!" (Cardinalsong snickered a bit at this, kind of touched.)

"What is it?" Kitekit asked. All these feathers were really pretty, whatever kind of birds they were!

"It's a cardinal feather," Robinkit said seriously. "Right, Ember?"

[ uuuugh i wish they could it would be so cute!! the terrible thing about that is, robin, kite and grouse are all signed up to die to this plague thingy :( :sob: they could be besties for now, but idk how long it'll last...

otherwise, ive also got loonkit in thunderclan! shes a baby that just joined and shes like super traumatized, oops.... shes not really like robin at all, but she could use some friends to :-) ]

Emberkit blinked. Flicking his tail disagreeingly as he heard Robinkit boasting about her father being the best. His dad gave her the feathers, he was clearly cooler. Emberkit pushed away the though, keeping it to himself as he watched the siblings interact. As Robinkit started talking about the cardinal feather, she suddenly asked Emberkit. "Yep!" He purred

Oh no. Weepingwillow had upset Beetlekit, which only served to make Softdaisy unhappy - her mood swung in whichever direction her kits Briarberry's kits leaned towards. "Look, Weepingwillow. I know you're wanting to help me out, and I do appreciate it..." But she was kind of... territorial, even though the fourteen kits in her nest were not actually hers. "Maybe you can ask another Queen and offer her help with her litter." Softdaisy lifted a paw to brush it gently over Beetlekit's forehead. "These little ones are angels." They could do no wrong.

Weepingwillow eyes narrowed, "I understand where you coming from, but as I'm in lets say trial to be a forever queen, all the kits are my responsibility, I'm just checking who's here and who's not." Weepingwillow meowed calmly, "And as I am feeding Cricketkit, and Flykit, I unfortunately will not be able to." Weepingwillow mewed, "I never said they did anything wrong, and I have already apologized for my wrong choice of words." The senior queen ended it at that, turning to lick Emberkit's ears

"Just like Daddy!" Kitekit gasped.

"Yep!" Robinkit responded, puffing her chest up in pride. "Isn't it just the coolest thing ever?"

"Uh-huh," Kitekit replied softly. Wide-eyed, she inspected each of the feathers very closely, sniffing at them and tilting her head to get every detail. She privately came to the conclusion that the bluejay one was prettiest, but she did still appreciate the cardinal one most of all.

She again sat up and gazed at the kits chattering in front of her. They looked slightly older than her.
