Goldenclaw was about to retort when an irritatingly high pitched voice squeaked next to him. He turned his glare from Cloudheart to the kit, eyes narrowed. He was still irritated, but he wasn't about to make a fool of himself and yell at a kit. "What?" He asked through grit teeth.

She got even more frightened when he responded, “ Y-your coat is v-very pretty. S-sorry if I bothered you” she ran away and back into the nursery, her breathing labored. I hope I didn’t anger him even more she thought nervously. @Kyrieknight

Goldenclaw huffed in annoyance while puffing his chest. He was sure the kit had said that to not anger him, which was too late, but it satisfied his ego. He didn't say anything, but he looked slightly satisfied.

Honeykit searched around the clearing for a place to explore. Across the camp, she saw a warm-looking den. I wonder what cats stay there, she thought. Honeykit padded up to the entrance and stuck her face inside of it to see what was inside.
