Re: TMA fear inspired Dark Forest cats
Endling, born as Faithkit in Thunderclan some 150 moons ago, survived for four-and-a-half weeks following her birth, a cleft palette carving its way in her mouth and up her muzzle pads made suckling milk especially difficult. With arduous care from her mother, who's name she has long since forgotten, she barely clung to life like the last shred of torn skin for just over a moon before malnutrition claimed her frail and tiny body. |

THE CORRUPTION FILTH CRAWLING ROT FLESH HIVE WASPEATER DEAD FOR 246 MOONS DIED AT 47 MOONS Clan in Life ThunderClan WARNINGS: Lack of self care, implied eating disorder, neglect, murder, bugs, carrion, maggots, cannibalism, manipulation [IF ANY MORE ARE NEEDED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW] APPEARANCE Waspeater can be described as scrawny and unhealthy. Waspeater is a pale, tan, almost white, cat with a tail that fades into darker brown colors and a darker nose, somewhat resembling a colorpoint shorthair. Fur is messy and matted, and usually appears to be infested with bugs. Just a very unhealthy looking cat overall. They also have dull, gross looking green eyes. KITHOOD Wasp kit was born to their mother, Cedarburrow and their father, Deerwhistle. As a kit, Waspkit’s father was semi-present, but they were neglected by their mother. Their mother hated them, and returned to her warrior duties as soon as possible. She considered them as filth. Waspkit would only ever get cleaned if their father managed to stop by the nursery, because the little scrap never bothered to do it themself. When it came to how they behaved, they were… quiet. They just seemed to stare at other cats for long periods of time. They interacted with bugs more than actual cats. The kit also had a hard time eating, always getting sick at even the idea of food, and so, adult cats would have to force them to eat so the didn’t die of starvation. But, due to how they rarely got cleaned and had trouble eating, they were prone to getting sick easy, and had common visits with the medicine cat. APPRENTICESHIP Moving on into apprenticeship, Wasppaw had been assigned to a cat named Creekmist. Creekmist was a kind mentor, always trying to help out Wasppaw and be the best mentor she possibly could. But, Wasppaw still lacked the sense to groom themself, and they still had issues with eating, and still got sick easily. This made their training harder because they were always physically weaker. But, Wasppaw didn’t care, and would push themself too far half the time, causing a few more medicine cat visits. Other apprentices avoided Wasppaw, partially due to their smell, and partially due to their behavior. They still seemed to prefer bugs over cats, and still would sit and stare at cats in an odd manner. Creekmist would try and get Wasppaw to take more breaks, and eat more, and take care of themselves, but the apprentice never listened. Toward the end of their apprenticeship, their mother, Cedarburrow, was killed by a badger. Wasppaw found the body while out training with Creekmist. She had already been dead for about two days, and while Creekmist tried to get Wasppaw to look away while she took the body to be buried, all Wasppaw could do was stare. Stare at the maggots, the worms. The way they were eating at the flesh. It was all so fascinating… they wanted to know more. WARRIORHOOD After finally completing their training, Wasppaw became Waspeater. The name was supposed to represent their durability despite what they have dealt with. Thing is, they still didn’t take care of themself, and barely anything else had changed either. Except their goal. Waspeater had befriended another cat. They made it seem like they truly cared about this cat, and maybe even wanted something more. But no, that wasn’t really it. This cat would be part of something greater. Thing is, Waspeater had been… learning about how the maggots slowly but surely eat decaying flesh. They would hide prey in the territory, and come back for it later. Sometimes, they would just sit and watch as the maggots ate their fill. But it got worse. Waspeater started eating the carrion food. It didn’t make them sick like normal, healthy food did. At least it didn’t feel like it did, though they still looked extremely unhealthy on the outside. At some point, Waspeater’s ‘friend’, Quietflow, started showing genuine feelings for them, and hinted that she truly loved them. Something clicked in Waspeater’s mind. It was time for the final test. So, Waspeater led Quietflow somewhere, and pretended to propose to be her mate. Oh, how poor Quietflow believed it was true. Waspeater killed her not long after, when she turned her back to them. They hid the body, and waited. Once the body was covered in maggots and half decomposed, Waspeater ate. And how they enjoyed eating. DEATH No one found out about what happened to Quietflow, and it had been merely assumed that she had left. That was, until more cats started disappearing. Waspeater was eating more and more half-decomposed cats, and hadn’t been found out once. Until one cat started to suspect them. Deerwhistle, their own father. He had noticed how Waspeater would never eat a thing in camp anymore, but seemed fine. Well, as fine as someone who doesn’t take care of themself can get. So, one day, when Waspeater went out, Deerwhistle followed. Deerwhistle saw Waspeater go to where they had his one of the bodies of a missing cat, and started eating the rotting corpse. Deerwhistle quickly confronted Waspeater, to the younger cat’s surprise. Before Waspeater could even attempt to explain themself, Deerwhistle was on them, and had gave them a fatal wound. But, instead of killing them on the spot, he left them to bleed out and be eaten alive by the very maggots that had started this fascination in the first place. AFTERLIFE Waspeater now roams the Dark Forest, and all they care to do is eat. They are forever hungry, and yet still get sick at the sight of fresh prey. You can guess what they prefer to eat instead. Their behavior is sporadic, and they are covered in bugs. Perhaps they can be persuaded to join someone’s cause, but not without a price. PERSONALITY Waspeater is now a manic cat that hides their insanity through manipulation and deceit. They are completely fascinated with how corpses corrupt and decay, and enjoy eating like the maggots do. They are always on the move, still continuing to ignore their own health. Not like there is much left to do about that when you’re dead. Their appetite is endless, though it even sickens them. They still are sick almost all the time, and their still not a very strong cat, so words and tricks are how they make break throughs. @redshiftreign |
