Salamanderpaw still simmers with outrage over the latest ordeal, but she's glad to see Fadingstar up on his paws. As young and as reverent of perceived power as she is, Riverclan's leadership is, to her, something to be treated as distant and as indisputable as Starclan might be. Having to hear about cats threatening rebellion or—per this recent Ashensplash incident—attempting an assassination, is as strange and outrageous as hearing that some warrior had tried to swat stars out of the sky.

Like many, many things, she just doesn't get it—and what Salamanderpaw doesn't understand, she tends to dislike. Still. For all the efforts made to stymie progress, Riverclan keeps on chugging along and for that she'd grateful. Smug even, in a small way. It's not like she has anything to do, personally, with order prevailing around here—but she's very excited to be able to count herself as a supporter of it. Who doesn't like being on the winning team, even if they're only earning points for participation?

Salamanderpaw takes a seat close enough to listen in, all attentive-like.

Softkit walked over to the gathering crowd. Fadingstar's back! She thought, surprised. She was shocked to see his appearance; raggedy and unkempt. She shuddered. She would never let her pelt fall into such a state. It was ugh. Yes, that described it into one word nicely. Ugh. Her fur was always in tip-top condition, and today she was wearing her yellow flower in one ear.

She didn't particularly want to be here, she'd much rather be back in her nest sleeping, but she supposed she had to. She scanned the crowd, searching for familiar faces.

Stagheart padded out among the gathering cats, a frown on his maw as he looked up at his leader. Fadingstar didn't look... great. The warrior shuddered at the idea of being poisoned — that's what Berrypaw had mentioned had been done. RiverClan's usually-strong, stoic leader looked gaunt and frail, though he still held a determination in his eyes as he held himself together.

He settled onto a spot near the outskirts, as if warily looking around at the other Clanmates. If someone had been so bold as to poison him, what else could others be plotting? It was a shame... things like these were the last things RiverClan needed right now. He'd just have to do what he could to prove to be a loyal asset in the meantime...

Berrypaw padded out as well, her chin tipped up as she took a look at Fadingstar's condition. He seemed to be holding together well enough, though it was clear he wasn't feeling great. The medicine cat apprentice curled her skinny tail over her small paws and was quiet as she waited for the meeting to begin, a slightly concerned look in her eye as she watched the leader.
