Fadedsky watched the She-Cat from across the river with interest. From the looks of it, she was just sunning, but she seemed overly friendly in a sarcastic way. He sat down and tucked his tail into his body, his claws still unsheathed and his tail still prickling. “I have my reasons.” He replied calmly, watching the thick-furred calico’s movement. He would simply deny if she pressed on.

At first, she said nothing. Then she rose from her sitting post and stretched out. “Secretive cat, aren’t you?” She sang from across the river, his ears and eyes became more alert as she stood fully and her tail began to sway anxiously. “Have fun hunting for something else.” She added, before she turned to walk away.

After a few moments of silence, Fadedsky blossomed a thought for the other cat...
