Chance looked at Altair and smiled. "Goodnight Altair." Her ears twitched and she looked outside. "And goodbye." She slipped out of the tree and padded through the rain.

Chance looked over her shoulder, her fur already drenched. The tree and Altair looked like anything else now. She looked ahead again continued walking away from the forest.

Altair's ear twitched at the sound of Chance saying goodbye. He lifted his head and looked out of the tree, searching for Chance. "Guess it is just me again." He muttered, laying his head back down on his paws.

Chance stopped walking again. She lifted her head and shouted in frustration.

Altair lifted his head up and looked out of his tree. He crawled out of the tree and walked around. He perked his ears and listened for another cat sound above the thunder.

Chance hid under a tangle of roots, shaking her fur out. She flinched as thunder roared.

Altair looked around, walking past the roots that Chance was hiding in. "Hello? Is anyone there?" He asked. (Probably gonna add more drama and have a dog attack.)

Altair stopped and sniffed the roots. "Is someone in there?" He asked. He bristled as he heard dogs barking. He froze where he was standing, "I- I don't what to do." He whimpered.

Chance didn't have to see the dogs to know where they were. She dashed from the roots and attacked a brown and black dog. The scarred she-cat snarled as the dog tried to shake her off.

Altair pressed himself to ground, cowering in fear. He wanted to help Chance, but his body was frozen fear.

Chance was flung off. She growled as she tried to get back to her paws. The dog walked back over and stepped on her, growling.

Altair looked over and got to his paws. He didn't know what came over him, he charged at the dog and repeatedly slashed the dog's nose.

The dog snarled and backed away. Chance groaned, barely moving.

Altair hissed, spat and bristled as he slashed at the dog. "Stay away from her!" He snarled and pounced on the the dog's head. He clawed on the dog's head and bit its ears.

The shook Altair off and ran away.
(Chance is gonna be a little jerk and pretend to be dead XD)
Chance was laying on her side, eyes closed and chest still.

"I figured I'd put you in more danger if I stayed." She stared at the ground as she walked. "I guess I was wrong, just like always." Chance murmured, her tail lowering and her ears flattening.

Chance smiled, for some reason tears jumping into her eyes. They dropped down her face before she could stop them.

Altair stopped once he got to the tree and looked at Chance, "Race you to the hole." He said playfully and dashed up the tree.
