Moon stood up, carefully stepping over Peanut, her face blank. "I'll be right back..." she whispered. moon padded out of the den, relieved to be out in the crisp night air. She sighed. She wasn't really going to find bedding. She was leaving Peanut in the den and traveling elsewhere. Though she couldn't bear to leave him without any explanation, she knew this needed to happen. It was better to leave before either of them got hurt. Sadly, Moon ran off in the other direction, hoping Peanut wouldn't be able to track her.

As Moon padded up the distant hillside, she kept thinking about Stone and Wren. They had seemed so nice. When they had asked to be her friends, she had been overjoyed. But they had turned out so cruel. Moon thought with a jolt of the scars on her eye. Oh, that had stung when they had dealt that blow to her. But what stung more was the false friendship. Maybe she should've stayed with Peanut so he didn't think she was like that. But, no. she had already gotten this far, she wasn't going back now. She glanced behind her, tears welling in her eyes. Maybe Peanut would understand.

*MORNING*
Peanut awoke to find that Moon wasn't there. "Maybe she is still looking for bedding.", he meowed to himself. "But, she would be back by now wouldn't she?" Peanut went to the same spot where they met last time. Moon wasn't there. Peanut got worried a bit, so he went back to the den. He then smelled her faint but a tinge of fresh scent. [I]I'm going to follow this trail. I don't know where she went, but she is definitely not here.[I], he thought.

Moon fell, her limbs tired, after a whole night of walking. Maybe Peanut won't find me now, she thought. She sighed and pushed herself to her paws, looking for shelter. "Actually, maybe prey would be better..." she wondered aloud. She sighed again. "Maybe this was a bad idea...." she dragged herself to a tree stump, sniffing it for moss. Maybe this time the moons of being alone wouldn't be as bad. She'd have the memory of her new friends to keep her traveling, just like the memory of Wren and Stone finding her kept her going the first time. Moon lazily clawed off a strip of moss, her tiredness growing. Moon yawned. Her eyes were drifting shut. Moon yawned again, teetering on her paws. Her eyes were going shut, her body hitting the ground. So much for shelter.

Stone walked in the forest, wanting revenge of Moon for running away from him. He started to run, faster, faster, faster! "Rrraaaagghhhh!!!!", he yowled and stopped running. "Where is she!?" Stone growled to himself.

Peanut followed the scent of Moon, making sure he didn't mistake it for another cat's scent. Maybe I'll find her today, tomorrow... @TeamRiverRipple

Moon opened her eyes. She was lying under a bush, and her pelt was matted and filthy. Moon sighed and began to wash, still tired despite sleeping so long. As Moon finished washing, she remembered the events from last night, all her peacefulness gone. "Ohnoohnoohno!" she cried pacing back and forth on the floor of the den. She had left Peanut. Now all she could do was make sure he never found her.

Moon padded out of the den, worry clouding her gaze. Something bad could've happened to Peanut in the night. a fox could've came into the den during the night and ATE HIM. Moon froze at that thought, worry being replaced with fear. Now she absolutely knew that she couldn't go back. Moon pricked her ears, the least she could do was keep herself from starving to death. Moon stopped abruptly. A familiar scent was in the air. Was it? No, it couldn't be. Moon sighed and shook her head, hoping she was imagining the return of the worst cat she had ever met*. @Ivyfeather8783

Stone thought he smelled Moon, but he didn't believe it but followed the path anyway. Where is she?..., he thought.

Peanut smelled a different cat coming nearer. It wasn't Moon. And he could smell the hostile sent coming from him. *

Moon jumped off of Peanut, her face going pink. "Ummm...." Moon's thoughts raced. She needed to leave before Peanut or her got hurt. Before she became like Wren and Stone. She began to creep away.

Stone walked up the small hill, immediately pinning Peanut as he spotted him. "Who are you and why are you here?!", he hissed.
Peanut hissed back, raking at the tom's belly, "Why should you know?!" Peanut then unsheathed his claws and got a tiny nick on Stone's ear.
"AAAHHHRRGG!" Stone jumped off Peanut, unsheathed his claws then pounced.
Peanut doged his attack, very swiftly. "Why are you here?! Who are you?!", he hissed.
"I'm Stone! One of Moon's 'friends'!" Stone growled.
Peanut knew he was lying. Moon had told him that there were cats that had faked friendship, but she had never said the names of said cats. "Your lying!"

Stone pounced again. Peanut dodged.
Peanut then got a clean cut across Stone's face, blood dripping from his face.
Stone then ran the direction that Moon went to hide and as he did that, Peanut pounced and landed in his back, teeth biting his neck. @TeamRiverRipple
