~Lavenderpaw~
Lavenderpaw was bouncing around, her blue and green eyes bright. They seemed to be like that all the time but nobody was around her when they weren't. She pushed any negative thoughts to the back of her mind. Today was not the time. She was almost at the front of the crowd but she respected that the high ranks had to be first. She stayed next to Snakie anyways. It did no harm, did it? She gasped as the ground turned sand and she squealed. She had to control herself to not go ahead but once she saw where the clans gathered, she ran off. All you could see was a ball of fluff seeming to fly around the air as she ran around the big clearing. She was zooming around, not seeming to reach an end to her energy.
[Open! I want to complete her Gathering requirement]

~Shypaw~
Shypaw was following slowly behind the Riverclan group, her blue gaze rested on the ground. So, she felt and saw when the ground turned to sand. She raised her gaze and looked around Seastones before parting from the group and padding over to sit in an empty.

~ Hawkblaze of Windclan ~

Hawkblaze shook out his fur as we padded after the Windclan delegation. The cold was biting tonight from the breeze off the ocean, and he was doing his best to insulate himself against the frost. He scowled lightly as he padded to an open spot near the side of the Seastones, and wrapped his dark tabby tail over his paws.

The light brown tabby felt a smile settling on her face as Shimmerbird talked. It felt great to be back with Shimmerbird. Apprenticeship and warrior duties had seperated them for too long. And Fogpaw... the memory of Hazelstorm's ex-friend stung deeply. That cat had gone missing from the Clan, leaving her and Shimmerbird behind. Fogpaw hadn't even said goodbye. If they wanted to leave to become a loner or something, they should've told Hazelstorm and Shimmerbird!

The warrior noticed that Shimmerbird had asked her a question and she forced herself back into the present.
"I want to be a loyal, honourable warrior," she responded truthfully. "I don't want kits, but I do want to have a mate that I can love and rely on."

That was the real truth. Hazelstorm's gaze flicked towards the left, where the entrance to the Seastones were, and was alittle startled to see that the other two Clans, ThunderClan and ShadowClan, hadn't arrived yet.

"ThunderClan and ShadowClan hasn't arrived yet," Hazelstorm commented, her eyes shifting back to Shimmerbird's flecked pelt. "What's taking them so long?"

Shimmerbird nodded along as Hazelstorm spoke about her own future. "You're alread a loyal and honorable warrior," the molly purred as she nudged her friend's shoulder playfully. "And kits aren't for everyone, I'm just glad you know that about yourself instead of figuring it out after you've had them." Her mind flashed back to the most recent Clan meeting where Silverspot had stormed out and left Spottedkit confused and alone. It disgusted her, who could do something like that to their kit?!

Her ears perked at Hazelstorm's mention of ShadowClan and ThunderClan not having arrived yet and she also glanced towards the entrance. It wasn't unusual for the two to be late, but not this late. Although if ShadowClan didn't show up she wouldn't be complaining.

"I dunno, but I wouldn't mind if ShadowClan didn't show their mangy faces. ThunderClan being this late is a bit odd, although Aspenstar was the late last gathering as well."

Re: January Gathering

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

What to do? What to do? Slithering out of the shadows, the ShadowClan leader arrived at the beach. Her light amber eyes roamed over the two gathered clans impassively. The strong stench of RiverClan and WindClan filled the air, Dawnstar found Twilightstar's scrawny frame sitting close to a closed-off Kestrelstar. Strutting across the beach as she own it and every cat on it, Dawnstar bunched up her muscles and landed silently on the flat stone. She kept her distances from the two soft-hearts, sitting tall with her back straight, towering. The cuts on her cheek were already healing, scabbing, and since Twilightstar was here, Dawnstar surmised that she hadn't done as much damage as she suspected to the wimpy leader.

There was no ThunderClan, not a surprise, besides that one time, ThunderClan was always the last to arrive. Which was annoying because she had made a large point in coming late as if to remind the clans that they couldn't begin without her, but it seemed no matter how late she tried to arrive, ThunderClan always came even later. Thinking of those squirrels, she still had a big decision to make. Now, if she had cats that she could actually count on, she might actually discuss something like this with them, but everyone in her clan was virtually useless, her braindead deputy included.

Perhaps this gathering would help her settle her thoughts. She still had a bit going on with ShadowClan, leafbare, and hopefully, she'd have some new ranks by next moon. She hasn't smelt any fresh twoleg scents or seen any tracks in the last pawful of days. Pulling out of her head, Dawnstar scattered her thoughts to the wind and looked down at cats beneath her, waiting for ThunderClan's arrival.

“I get it I guess, apprentices feel like young numbskulls and want to be older and more mature. That’s how I felt, and you cannot imagine my relief when I became a warrior.” The molly gave a lighthearted chuckle, glancing up at Dawnstar. It was like a deteriorative trail snaked behind the Shadowclan warrior, lingering with anyone she passed. She tried to shake it off, and her gaze returned to Mouse’claw. “Yeah, I wonder. Hopefully nothing too horrible happened.” She said, a slight hint of worry in her voice.

@NinjaBloss

| Hazelstorm . she/her

The warrior let out a purr of affection and she brusher pelt against Shimmerbird's. "Thank you, friend! I'm certain you'll make a decent mother to your kits."

A dark brown tabby pelt caught her attention and green hues shifted over to Dawnstar, who had just arrived with ShadowClan at her heels. Hazelstorm wrinkled her nose in displeasure at the mangy, marshy smell that began polluting the already heavily-mixed air. Now there was RiverClan scent, WindClan scent and ShadowClan scent... which honestly did not smell the best together.

"That queen, Silverspot," said Hazelstorm, flicking her tail in disgust. "That traitor. She left her darn kit behind. Where do you think she is now?"

A fiery spark of anger rose in the young warrior. As much as she hated kits, she wouldn't toss away a kit she was entrusted totake care of. Hazelstorm wouldn't be cruel to them either for no reason, like her foster mother who'd took her in after her parents' death.
"Speaking of traitors..." Hazelstorm smoothed her pelt quickly and dropped her voice, so that only Shimmerbird could hear. "I haven't seen Fogpaw in a long time."

Re: January Gathering

~WhiteRose~

The pretty white cat looked almost blue in the moonlight as they padded onto the beach with the rest of Shadowclan. WhiteRose wasn't quite sure why the clans needed a gathering, the next day they would just be at each other’s throats, wouldn't it be easier not to have a gathering? These are enemy's and yet when we are here they talk like friends. Weird.

They looked around the clans wondering if they might see any of their half siblings, and yet the white cat saw no cat that they recognised. Perhaps it was the dim lighting from the Leaf bare moon that was making it harder to tell each cat apart from one another.

Whiterose scanned the clearing attempting to spot her littermate BlackHawk [ @~ferice~ ] and yet he had already sunken into the crowd. The tall white cat padded towards the shore, a little way away from the seas tones and sat near the water's edge.

The clear night sky reflected the stars in the lapping black sea, its so calm here if you ignore the other clans.. I wonder if Shadowclan will ever try to claim this area. A few salty droplets of water splashed onto their pelt, immediately WhiteRose fluffed up their coat, the water was freezing and perhaps if it wasn't moving fo much it would be frozen over. They shivered, the only way for it to be colder is if it was snowing! WhiteRose didn't really like the cold, although it helped camouflage them in Leaf bare due to their white pelt. I wish I had thicker fur to keep all this out!

They shivered once more, "What in starclan is taking Thunderclan so long?" WhiteRose somewhat hissed as they spoke "if we stay here for much longer I'll be frozen to the ground!" they pawed at the frozen solid sand and flinched as a tiny crab started to run from the disturbed sand towards the water.

"True, true." She nodded, giving a lighthearted chuckle. The tom wasn't lying, Thunderclan would say so if anything popped up, although she still worried, that was like her to worry about something she shoudn't even really care about. "That is unlike Thunderclan to stay quiet about something for too long."

(She’s so cute lol)

Mouse’claw nodded, suddenly realizing he was shivering. It was a rather cold night, you’d think that being a black cat he’d be warmer but no. “ugh, it’s far to cold be out tonight” he complained, wrapping his slim tail around his paws. He hoped thunderclan would arrive soon so they could all go home to their warm dens. Windclan would never hold up the gathering like this!

“My, you’re right, it is rather chilly.” Raccoonear’s gaze flicked to the sky. Holding these sort of things at night never helped during Leafbare. Although her pelt was rather thick, the cold still managed to seep through. “Thunderclan must’ve ran into some sort of issue, while they are known for being late, not this late. “

Pebblepaw had finally gotten the chance to go to one of the Gatherings. She hoped it would be a fun experience, but with her mentor, Horsetail, sitting in hot water for socializing with a rouge, she was sad. She hoped she would met someone.

Pebblepaw was slightly irritated at Thunderclan for being late. It was already cold and was only gonna get colder. Pebblepaw was glad for she long fluffy fur, looking out at all of the other cats, most with short fur.

Shinepaw, a Shadowclan apprentice followed further behind Dawnstar. She moved quickly and silently, sitting around the other Shadowclan cats. Licking her paw, and grooming herself. As she looked around she was amazed, for this was her first gathering.

"These trees are huge..." she gasped, her amber eyes following the trees. She was caught off guard when she looked at the Riverclan cats. She studied their movements, careful not to alarm them, she was nervous. Her eyes caught a gray cat, apprentice size. She shivered, as she saw the cats blue eyes. They locked eyes, but she quickly looked away. @corgigirl

"It's Shinepaw," she said, licking her paw. "What's your name then?" Shinepaw asked, "Naturally I must know now."

"Cool name I guess, who named you?" she questioned, "I've never heard a name like that," she narrowed her eyes, she didn't mean to be rude, it just came out like that a lot. She stretched, "I better get going, the gathering will be starting soon."

[OPEN]

Gingercry followed the rest of the Shadowclan patrol out onto the beach. He nearly stayed back at camp for this gathering. His joints were aching something fierce since the cold weather had settled in. He didn't recall last leafbare having so much of an affect on him. He chuckled lightly, old age was really catching up to him. It was also about this time a few seasons back when he'd lost Lilyleap. This time was always a little more difficult. And Goldenstep had seemed a little extra down the past couple days. But he figured he should come to the gathering since his daughter was again stuck in camp with her newest litter of kits. He'd come to bring back something for her to talk about, give her something to think about other than her mother and her kits. He settled down in a sandy spot and fluffed his thick orange pelt against the chill of the night.

---------------------

[OPEN]

Pigeonpaw walked in behind Dawnstar, nearly bouncing. She was now among the older apprentices at the Gathering. This was her THIRD gathering and if other cats were judging by her size alone then they'd surely be able to mistake her for an even older apprentice. She held her chin high, proud. She'd had battle training and hunting training and she was sure she'd gone through more than most apprentices at this point after having been kidnapped and watching her kidnapper be killed in fron of her, her father and sister disappearing then showing back up, the mystery of her real parents still looming over her, and she'd had special training from what she could only assume was Starclan themselves. She wondered how many other apprentices here were special enough for the extra training like she'd been chosen for. She sat down and glanced towards the seastones but then kept her attention around her to look for somebody to talk to.

Re: January Gathering

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

Dogbark’s legs trembled slightly as he led his clan to Seastones, he felt slightly sick, Aspenstar had lost all nine of her lives in one fell swoop, it felt unreal, it felt… it felt unfair. Dogbark had considered himself more than ready to take up the Leadership mantle, but now that he was there, he felt guilty. Aspenstar had obviously not been doing so well as Leader, but to die in such a brutal way… even worse, the last thing Dogbark had said to the she-cat was against her…
No, he would think about that later when he could handle it, he shoved those feelings into their little box and padded onwards, he had a Gathering to go to, he couldn’t show up looking a mess.
Quickly grooming himself again for about the third time today (he’d recently discovered that he groomed when nervous, figures.) he attempted to meet the eyes of his clanmates, but it was too difficult to do so, so he continued looking ahead.
His legs felt stiff as he walked, and for once he knew it was not because he was getting older, it was because he was trying to hold off on getting on that rock. If he didn’t go up there, then everything would be fine, normal, Aspenstar would be alive, Shiningskies wouldn’t hate him, no one would be screaming at him, no one would be upset, everything would be fine.
Oh. The lies he was telling himself.
Aspenstar was dead. Shiningskies probably hated him. The Clan probably hated him. Dogbark was the new Leader.
Dogbark couldn’t take all the feelings swirling in him, he shoved them into his box too.
Just get the Clan through the Gathering, get through the Gathering and then you can go home and think those thoughts, feel those feelings, and try to find out what you’re going to do. Those thoughts didn’t help him much, but it was a promise to himself, he needed some time alone after all this.
Though, he wouldn’t take much time for himself, as soon as he felt even half his normal strength again, he would go back out there, he refused to be like Aspenstar.
Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he saw that they’d arrived- albeit late- at the Gathering, finally.
He remembered, moons ago, the remark he’d made about the clan always being late, and now they were late again, and he sighed, he’d changed over those few moons, he could feel it.
Now, here he was, in the position he’d never expected to be in, leading his clan to a Gathering.
Without even waiting to check how things were going in the Gathering, Dogbark plunged down the small slope without further ceremony and pushed his way through the crowd towards Seastones.
Dogbark didn’t give any acknowledgment to the Deputies, Medicine Cats, nor the Clan Leaders even, he didn’t care, perhaps he just didn’t have the energy to care.
He hesitated at the base of the stone, perhaps he should stay among the Deputies? No. It wouldn’t be proper.
He leapt up to the Seastone, right next to Kestrelstar, not even looking at the RiverClan Leader, though he wanted to ask why Splashleap wasn’t there.
Oh StarClan, supposed RiverClan had lost their Deputy? He now felt slight sympathy for the other gray tom, after all, they seemed to be in the same boat.
He turned to look at Kestrelstar, opening his mouth to speak to him, then thinking better of it and turning his head around again. He didn’t know what to say, or how to say it, and he was dreading when it was his turn to announce, it was best that he just didn’t speak at all for now.
He kneaded his paws on the stone, trying to listen to everything that was being said, but all he heard was a buzzing sound in his ears, everything else was a muffled jumble of voices to him, no meaning, no sense to it all.
How everything was okay to others was a mystery to the Depu-(Leader?), his whole world was breaking and reforming, and nothing seemed to be changing for anyone else outside of ThunderClan, they all seemed to be oblivious to the break in reality, the crack in the gray tabby’s composure. His green eyes flickered, perhaps nobody cared? Perhaps, if anything ever happened to him, no one would care? They’d go on with their lives?
Dogbark didn’t know what was happening, he was Leader now, wasn’t he? He’d been speaking against Aspenstar for a moon, he’d felt he deserved the position at the time. He did… didn’t he? He should have been happy… right?
If he was… then why did he feel so rotten?

Dirtpaw padded into the Gathering, looking right and left. This wasn’t his first time at the Gathering, but it was still so much to take in. He weaved in between the other Clan cats, avoiding the grumpy-looking ones and nodding to the nice ones. He looked for someone to talk to and chose a happy-looking RiverClan apprentice. “Hi there!” He meowed to her. He grinned at her. “You seem really excited!”

Larkstorm followed Dogbark into the Gathering, looking around almost nervously at the other Clans. She was worried what they would think about Aspenstar‘s untimely death. So far it didn’t seem like the cats had noticed, but sooner or later they would realize Aspenstar wasn’t there. Especially once the Gathering began. Taking a drop breath, Larkstorm calmed herself down with a mental chat. Everything will be fine. Dogbark’s a strong cat nothing bad will happen. Squaring her shoulders, Larkstorm marched onward, eventually coming to a stop at a ShadowClan tom. She sat down next to him. “Do you mind?” She asked him. She recognized him as Gingercry, one of the older ShadowClan toms. He probably wouldn’t have a problem with her.

The tom nervously moved behind Dogbark and his clanmates. It would be his first gathering since his mothers death 18 moons ago. He was so bitter he hadn't come. Now that bitterness had slowly drifted away and he was ready to actually come to one. Wildspark felt his legs quake and he moved over to the back. He didn't mind if anyone talked to him he just didn't like crowds. It was dine if nobody did either.

Palebrook turned when she heard a voice behind her. Another WindClan cat, this one a female. But she didn’t know her name. Lion…something. “Hey there,” She meowed to her. “We’re just talking. Want to join us?” @Kunaiskrill

"Hi!" she saw the warrior. she smiled. "Is this your first gathering?" she asked, tilting her head. She then shook her head. "Sorry, that was too much.. uh.." she averted her gaze.

Palebrook shrugged. “Ok.” Then she turned back to Hawkblaze. She couldn’t force cats to talk if they didn’t want to after all.

The tom heard a voice and recognized the scent of a Windclan cat. He looked at her. "Not exactly my first gathering, but I haven't been to one in many many moons.", he responded. Wildspark looked at his paws the looked back up. "No your fine.", he added.

Cindersky
Following after Dogbark with a rather uneasy feeling blooming in her chest, Cindersky held her head up high and kept her expression neutral. RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan seemed to already have arrived along the shoerline of Seastones which meant that ThunderClan was last. It did not bother her as much as she knew it did Dogbark, and the spotted warrior tossed a concerned glance towards the back of the deputy. Or now, leader, though he had not yet visited the Starcave as far as she knew. Oh, what weight must be on his shoulders, what grief he carried... for a moment she watched him and wished she could go to him, to remind him of who he was, and that he and ThunderClan were going to be alright.

But soon the Gathering would be starting, and along with it the announcement of the death of Aspenstar. Another leader gone too soon - what must the other Clans think by now? Blue hues swept across the leaders that Dogbark had joined, though none of their expressions she could make out from where she stood. Her gaze finally rested on Dogbark. She wanted to convey to him that everything was going to be alright. ThunderClan would survive this as they had so many tragedies before. That she was here, his senior warriors were here to support him, and that every cat from the youngest kit to the oldest elder were here for him.

Cindersky allowed it to linger until it became apparent that others might find her staring weird - not that she would have cared. Navigating the sand and gathered cats she found a spot in the middle off to the side where she could sit back and patiently wait for the start of the announcements.

—Clearlight of Thunderclan—

The brown tabby queen padded quietly with the rest of Thunderclan. This was her second Gathering…but the first Gathering they were having without Aspenstar. She hadn’t known the leader well at all, but the loss of the leader was evident throughout the clan. It was like there was some hole in the clan now, like something had been ripped out. The entire thing was making her feel…hollow…in a way. Clearlight sighed.

Her thoughts turned to her kits. She, of course, didn’t like the thought of leaving them all alone back at camp…but Clearlight needed to know the happenings of the clans. She was new here. A recent addition, which meant that Clearlight needed to be on top of matters. She needed to be informed. So here she was. Clearlight spotted another cat sitting nearby and padded up to her, deciding to make a conversation.

“Hello,” Clearlight started, hesitated, then started again. “Can…can you believe it? Aspenstar is gone.” Clearlight swallowed. Oh yes, Clearlight, the perfect way to start a conversation is to talk about the dead leader. Perfect. Just wonderful.

Mouse’claw turned to notice Thundercland arrival, albeit without their leader. Where was Aspen’star? “Theres thunderclan. Later than ever. At least they bothered to show up” he said, tail pointing towards the crowd as thunderclan entered the clearing. “Their leader doesn’t seem to be with them tonight.

Sundust // He/him

Sundust trotted into the clearing, emerging from the middle of the group Thunderclan cats to find a spot to sit. His peach-hued gaze anxiously flicked from Dogbark to the other leaders as the older tom made his way over. He stared at the seastones, his gaze slowly lowered to where the medicine cats sat, and his stomach gave a funny jerk. Would he be sitting among them next gathering? Quietly explaining what he was doing up there to the other medicine cats whilst the entirety of the clans could gawk at him? And what about Rosepaw? It was most certainly a lot of pressure for a young cat, to be a representative of Thunderclan.

On that thought, his gaze quickly swept the crowd in search of the young molly. He wouldn't speak to her or approach her - he wanted her to enjoy her time with the other apprentices - but he wanted to be sure she seemed alright. But alas, he could not spot her. Either she had stay home - which Sundust would not blame her for - or she was mixed in the sea of cats. His eyes returned to the seastones, where Dogbark now sat next to Kestrelstar, and offered the scarred tom a quick nod, knowing full-well it was unlikely to be seen in the midst of the other cats.

The golden tom settled in a quieter corner, still near cats, but not in the depths of the cacophony. His ears flicked back and forth as he picked up bits and pieces of conversation, none concerning him, few mentioning Thunderclan, apart from a few disgruntled mutterings which Sundust resisted the urge to shoot dirty looks towards. Geez, he really needed to relax. What did he care about the other clans' slandering of Thunderclan? He never let it bother him before. He concluded that he was just on edge with everything going on; he would feel better once everything was out in the open, off of his chest.

Rosepaw was not very enthusiastic about this. She knew all too well that she possessed as much charisma as a rock. The only time cats had talked to her was when she ran into a very mean warrior and a RiverClan apprentice bullied her for existing. So she was somehow more pessimistic than usual. She'd better just stay out of the way.

Ivypaw || she/her

The little apprentice was small for her size, even at 11 and a half moons. She stumbled as she ascended the Seasoned to the Gathering, where the other three Clans already were. Ivypaw flattened her ears and quickly smoothed her ruffled fur, before straightening and spotting a Clanmate. Sundust. He was Cindersky's former apprentice, wasn't he? Perhaps he was just as kind as the Molly.

Reassured by this, Ivypaw sidled up to him, noticing how small she was compared to the warrior. Then, as she looked up at his eyes, a gasp left her lips. But she felt it was rude to ask how he'd gotten blind in one eye. That was a rumour she'd heard concerning Sundust, but she still didn't want to ask about it. So instead she sat on her haunches next to him, noticing his gaze drifting to the area where the medicine cats sat.

"H-Hi, Sundust!" she said, attempting to sound like she wasn't the nervous apprentice she'd been when she was six moons. "How are you?"

Red’paw glanced around the clearing, he didn’t want to do what he did last gathering and just sit, he wanted to talk to the other clans! Spotting an apprentice around his age he padded up to her. “Hello ” he mewed “what clan are you from?
