"Uh, yeah!" The Tom mewed quickly, returning his gaze to scan the clearing. "Gatherings are always fun." He said, almost vaguely. He was glad Ratheart had decided not to come, and couldnt help but wonder when his father would take off again. So far, he seemed content where he was. Hunter didnt know whether to be worried or not, but he shook it off and turned his attention back to the other Clans, keeping close to his mentor. His eyes flickered lightly across each pelt. Orange, black, white, gray, mixed colors. Different colored eyes too.

Hunterpaw felt his fur prickle suddenly, like he was being watched, and frowned, continuing his search around until his eyes rested on a group of cats near the edge of the Seastones, watching the leaders. All except one. One cat stood out, bright blue eyes piercing into Hunterpaw's brown ones, light gray pelt nearly hidden by shadows. It was unmistakable, but Hunterpaw had to blink a few times to ensure his eyes werent playing tricks on him, suddenly speechless, but he didnt move, just met the cat's eyes in silence. No way.

Springwind stared at Hunterpaw with an odd look. For a second he thought something was wrong with Hunterpaw, but he figured the tom was deep in thought. Then again, was Hunterpaw ever deep in thought? Whenever he wasn't with his best friend and half brother Curlypaw, the tom could be bearable. Easier to train. Springwind was still surprised that he even managed to land an apprentice. Hunterpaw was his own cat, and Springwind tried to keep him open to options. Lately, Hunterpaw seemed to be fading.

Instead of thinking too much of this, the tom twitched his ears. ''I love gatherings. So many other cats to meet. And, the only time when battles shouldn't be enacted, you know what I mean?'' Springwind called, breathing in the crisp air. Springwind longed for peace, it brought him in the past when he was with his brother. Albeit they were only apprentices, and Springpaw had been a shy feline then. Very bashful, while his brother Larkpaw been much more. Outstanding. Astonishing. Everyone wanted to be his friend. Springwind closed his eyes for a second, then opened them, staring at each cat and their uniqueness, despite being from different clans.

Springwind was about to say something else, but as he turned his head to look at Hunterpaw, he noticed his apprentice had been locked. Locked on something else. A huge distraction. Springwind gave the tom a quizzical look, tilting his head as he came near his apprentice again. ''Everything alright, Hunterpaw?'' What could have his gaze on lock? Surely he wasn't about to flirt with another she cat. Springwind had prepared himself for the worse, annoyance ebbing into him. Though he followed Hunterpaw's gaze as it landed to the other side. The shadowclan cats.

Why in StarClan would this irritable cat act lime he was at war with the world? As far as she knew, nothing was really wrong with his life. Not that she knew anything about him.. But news traveled quickly around the Clans, especially at a Gathering.

Clans. Maybe I should've stuck with my own.

But no. Her mother said that Grass needed to start socializing with not just cats from her Clan, but from the other Clans, too. She normally stuck to herself and shared little words with her Clanmates, but that ended today. Grasspaw had never shared tongues with a cat from another Clan!

He would've shouted a 'Don't tell me what to do!' if it weren't for the warriors that could be watching and the scolding he'd be in for once he got back. Also, he should try to control himself for once. "Tch.." Is all he said as a reply, not quite making eye contact, but looking back up at the leaders that sat upon the large rocks. Tinypaw had also preferred to keep to himself, not even wanting anything to do with cats of his own clan. Let alone cats from other clans. Why should he if he was only going to end up having to tear their ears and kick them off of him one day?

It was the brutal truth, and they were being told the sweet lie. All cats who had made friends from another clan would learn that some day and regret even talking to them. What're they gonna do, kiss and make up? Act like nothing happened? No, you're forever competitors here. At least, this is what this apprentice believes. Sure, maybe knowing a cat here and there may be useful, but you shouldn't be getting too close. This is getting completely off topic.

Hunterpaw opened his mouth a little. He could hear Springwind talking to him. What was he saying? The apprentice tried desperately to move his gaze away from the she-cat's, his heart beginning to pound louder and faster, trying to answer his mentor, but his voice seemed to be stuck in his throat, paws rooted to the ground. Even when the she-cat slowly slid from the shadows and began to approach, Hunterpaw couldnt move.

At all.

The light gray she-cat weaved around her Clanmates and a few other Clan cats, mewing apologies if she almost tripped over or onto someone as she neared Hunterpaw and Springwind. When she was only a few mouse-lengths away, she paused, gazing up at Springwind first. "Hello, there..." she mewed softly to the older warrior, before her eyes landed back on Hunterpaw, and her face softened.

Hunterpaw was still tense, gazing at the she-cat. "Wrenpaw," He finally managed to utter the one single name, nothing but disbelief in his tone. After all this time, moons of not seeing the first cat he'd ever truly loved, the real reason he'd given up any chance at finding someone to settle down with forever, the one cat who left him and not the other way around, he runs into her at a gathering. And he realized that it still hurt. Great StarClan, it hurt.

The warrior's gaze never left blazingstars fourm upon the rock, and it only grew sharper when Thunderclan leader jumped upon the rock herself. The brown newly made warrior slowly made his way through the cluster of felines, his pale green optics flicked with unease. It was slightly difficult for him to make his way through crowds like these, often times it ended up with him stepping on tails or paws or stepping right in between two cats who were interacting. The warrior let out a sigh and stopped, his ears perked and his eyes gazing off, focused on nothing but an empty space in front of him. Junipersight listened around for a bit till he found a sound free space, he assumed it meant that no one was occupying that space. The brown tom slunk over to the spot, leaves shielding the moon rays, and sat himself down elegantly, his tail wrapping around his paws. Although he didn't care much for hosting one he did like to listen to the conversations of others, though he knew it was rude to eavesdrop but not like he had nothing better to do.

Redwillow skipped into the clearing, practically breathing down Grousestars back. He was excited, this was his first gathering and he'd never seen so many cats congregated in one space before, his green orbs flashed with excitement. He wasn't good in large groups but in the excitement he momentarily forgot his social awkwardness, until, of course, he remembered. The black, golden spotted warrior stoped and let out an awkward giggle, he wasn't used to the smells of the other clans, and by the looks of things and by the smell of things there seemed to only be two present at the moment. After a few seconds of looking around Redwillow found a nice spot near the edge of the congregation and looked up at the three leaders.

Springwind stayed rooted to his spot. Staring at the two apprentices with a curious gaze. When the light grey feline appeared, the tom gave her a friendly gaze. He never met her before, but at looking at his own apprentice, he could tell the younger tom held some sort of feelings towards this she cat. She was apart of Shadowclan--and, normally Springwind wouldn't approve of Hunterpaw liking another cat. Especially from a different clan, but this was a gathering. A time of peace and to make friends so he allowed it to slide.

''Hello, um...?'' The tri tabby cat realized he didn't know her name. He never remembered seeing her before, but she was a pretty apprentice. Young. Probably around Hunterpaw's age, and she seemed sweet. Very nice, and easy to approach. Though Springwind still wondered what could possibly be wrong with Hunterpaw at this time. The tom quickly glanced at his apprentice, hearing the name of the she cat slip out. Wrenpaw, eh?

''Wrenpaw.'' Springwind cleared his throat upon hearing Hunterpaw say it. He managed to give her a much friendlier smile, thinking that the two were friends. ''I imagine that you want some alone time with Wrenpaw to talk Hunterpaw?'' Springwind flicked his tail, as he gazed at the two apprentices. He didn't want to be in their business. Business that he didn't notice too soon. Believe it or not, this tom was pretty clueless on any situation that was going on. ''I can leave the two of you alone to talk in peace if you'd like?'' He gently touched his snout upon Hunterpaw's shoulders.

"Oh, no, please, stay." Wrenpaw said immediately, becoming slight flustered. "I wont be long." She sighed, tilting her head as she gazed at Hunterpaw with kind blue eyes, a softness in them that could never be explained. She still loved him, completely adored him, but she also knew they could never be what they once were. "Hi, Hunter,"

"Hello." Hunterpaw mumbled, blinking faintly. He glanced up at his mentor and smiled, as if to say that he wanted Springwind to stay, because he did. After a few moments of silence, he spoke again. "How's... How's your father?" He couldnt help it, the apprentice's tone turned faintly bitter. The mouse-brain that tore us apart.

"He's fine." Wrenpaw gazed at him, then glanced up at Springwind almost apologetically, knowing the warrior was probably very confused at this point. "Hunterpaw, its not his fault." She said quietly, as if guessing what the Tom was thinking.

Hunterpaw just shrugged as he stared at her, trying to think of something to say other then, "Well then who's fault was it? Why did you leave? Thats all i've ever wanted to know, Wrenpaw, why? Was I not good enough? Did I really mean nothing to you?

Springwind stood there awkwardly as the two apprentices talk. ''Alright...if you say so,'' He flicked his ears, staying near Hunterpaw as the two talked. He tried not to pay attention to their conversation, so he allowed his eyes to gaze at the other warriors and apprentices at the gathering. First his eyes landed on many ginger tabbies, talking and having a great time among themselves. Then, his eyes trailed on the many different pelts of shades of brown. Some light brown, which was pretty, but Springwind found the darker brown shades a lot more mesmerizing. He didn't know why, but figured it was because it reminded him of Lovelorn. Her dark brown glowing like a shady red. He found those to be beautiful.

For a moment he watched as his own niece seemingly made friends of her own, just talking to the other apprentices from different clans. A bright smile was on her face, and her lightful green eyes staring curiously at everyone around her. Springwind's eyes trailed her pelt. Why did you leave Lovelorn? Why didn't you take her with you? At least don't leave a piece of you behind--it's unbearable to me! The tom snapped his hues shut for a moment. ''He's fine.'' That's what he had caught.

''Who's fine?'' Springwind asked, completely forgetting that this was not his conversation to have, but he had wondered who this...Wrenpaw was talking about. Besides that, he wanted to remain friendly to the two young apprentices. Hunterpaw looked lost for a moment, and Springwind wondered why he wasn't flirting with the pretty she cat. It had dawned on him that maybe...Hunterpaw was in love with this she cat. Just maybe he carried some blossoming feelings for her. Springwind wanted to ask him, but not while the she cat was in front of them. It would be embarrassing for Hunterpaw.

Hunterpaw didnt say anything for a moment, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. "Wrenpaw.." His voice trailed for a moment, an unreadable emotion in his eyes. Shaking his head, the apprentice sighed.

"I know." Wrenpaw sighed, watching him. "Hunterpaw, im sorry. I really am. But I had to leave." She sighed, causing Hunterpaw to scoff slightly.

"Why?" Hunterpaw gritted his teeth a little, trying to keep his voice from trembling. "Wait no. I forgot, because you have nothing left for you in WindClan. Thats right. Good to know where I stand."

"Hunter, no,"
Wrenpaw's eyes widened, her soft blue eyes meeting his. "I didnt mean it like that. I never meant to hurt you.." She trailed off, a deep frown on her face.

"Well you did!" Hunterpaw exclaimed, then pulled his head back a little and snapped his mouth shut. Wrenpaw sighed, gazing at him softly. She glanced up at Springwind, then looked back at Hunterpaw.

"Im sorry."

"Yeah," Hunterpaw glanced at her, then at Springwind, then over to where Alunapaw was briefly before looking back at Wrenpaw, his expression unreadable. "Me too."

Rosenose padded through the trees carefully, the Shadowclan molly was pregnant with her mate, Honeythistle's, kits. The beautiful gingerish red cat had lost him in the crowds, however, and without her mate by her side she began to worry. Where is he? What if a cat attacks me, and he can't protect me or the kits! What if he's in trouble! She kept up these worrying thoughts till she walked strait into a bush. Rosenose immediately jumped up in fear, the kits! The molly had always been frail, and quickly looked around for a medicine cat, though she was freaking out to much.

Springwind gave a simple nod, awaiting to reply, but before he could Wrenpaw was talking to Hunterpaw. So, the tom stayed silent, and listened to their conversation. It was quite...surprising. Very surprising. Springwind didn't want to listen in, but his curiousity got the better of him. He never thought of his apprentice to be so...delicate. The way Hunterpaw stared at the she cat, seemingly blowing her off. It made Springwind look down at his own paws, speechless for words.

For a second, he felt like the odd man out. The third wheel. He didn't want to talk and ruin the conversation, but the gathering was something that was suppose to be peaceful not...dramatic. Though, Springwind knew that something happened between these two. Hunterpaw was in love with this apprentice. Springwind would had laughed--Hunterpaw...in love? It was such a hilarious thought that Springwind couldn't actually believe it himself. Hunterpaw was known as a flirt within his own clan. Every she cat apprentice knew it, and some even trailed behind him, wrapped around his paws and ready to morph when he wanted to.

Hunterpaw was quite the handsome cat, and Springwind knew that when he was a warrior practically every she cat would throw themselves at him, but Springwind also wanted his apprentice to follow his heart. And, his heart seemed to lie with this...Wrenpaw. Springwind stared at the light grey feline, feeling a bit suspicious--her, being from Shadowclan and all. When Hunterpaw made an outburst, Springwind flinched, and he gently rested his tail on Hunterpaw's flank to give him comfort. Springwind didn't want Hunterpaw to make the same mistake as him. The one that slipped away, only Springwind never had that she cat in his grasp, but here was Hunterpaw's old flame, wanting him to forgive her, but Hunterpaw was hurt. Springwind could see that, but the older tom kept quiet because it was none of his business. Just follow your heart. Love can be a painful thing, but if you allow her to slip away, you might be making a grand mistake.

Hunterpaw took a deep breath, looking up slightly and giving Springwind a grateful glance, unconsciously moving closer to his mentor as he looked at Wrenpaw. "Look, Wrenpaw, I.."

"I know. I hurt you." Wrenpaw gazed at him softly. "Nothing I say will take that back." Hunterpaw nodded a little bit, not meeting her gaze, and Wrenpaw continued. "But I can still apologize and hope for the best."

"You always hope for the best, Wrenpaw."
Hunterpaw muttered. "That's what I liked about you." He looked down for a moment.

"Im not trying to get you back, Hunter." Wrenpaw said quietly. "I know its too late, and it would never work out, seeing as we're in different Clans. But I am sorry." She looked up at Springwind. "Im sorry to you, too." She added gently. "I wish you both well."

"Gonna walk out again?"
Hunterpaw muttered, and Wrenpaw gave him a soft glance before padding forward, and pressing her nose to his cheek. This time, Hunterpaw didnt pull away.

"You deserve better." Wrenpaw whispered to him. "You deserve something I cannot give you, Hunter. Find the perfect girl, and hold onto her. Trust me, if it was meant to be... I wouldnt walk away. But I know its not, so I have to." Wrenpaw pulled back, and smiled gently before turning and heading off, slipping back into the crowd of ShadowClan cats.

Hunterpaw sheathed his claws, which he hadnt noticed he'd been digging into the ground this whole time, and shook his head vigorously, ears flattening slightly. Her words rang in his ears as he stared after her, his eyes flickering with both pain and confusion as he let his tensed shoulders drop.

Springwind stared as Wrenpaw talked to Hunterpaw, giving her a respectful nod as he saw her walk away. That was...depressing to him. He never been in the middle of a...what type of talk was that? A heartbroken conversation? Springwind knew it had to be. After all, Hunterpaw's feelings were showing, something that Springwind never saw before, or when he was with Ratheart, his father. The poor tom been through so much. ''I'm sorry, Hunter.'' Springwind said, his voice soft as he let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding.

''She seemed like something special.'' The tom added, his eyes trailing behind the light grey she cat as she made her way back towards the Shadowclan cats. Then his eyes slowly moved back over to Hunterpaw. ''Who was she to you?'' Of course, Springwind knew this at the given affection that Wrenpaw gave Hunterpaw, but Springwind wanted to hear it from his apprentice himself. He wanted to know about Hunterpaw more. This side of him that he didn't know.

A side that a she cat held to him. His heart. Fragile and delicate. Needed to be handled with care. ''Are you sure you're doing the right thing?'' Springwind flicked his ears. ''After all, the one you love and let go...they may never come back.'' He spoke distantly, having to think about Lovelorn once more. Even if he wasn't the one who she loved in return, he always felt that he let her down. He had let her go. She let him go first, unintentionally, but it still happened one way or the other. ''Though I don't approve that she's from another clan, but if she makes you happy you need to learn to forgive and forget. Living in the past is such a bitter place, and it's not something we can change, Hunterpaw. But, soon you would be a warrior, and you'll make your own decisions. I just want you to be thoughtful and not rash, alright.'' Because you'll always be like a son to me. Springwind provided a soft smile, flicking his tail to graze the top of the apprentice's head. ''Just follow your heart, wherever it may lead you.''

"Dont be sorry." Hunterpaw sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. For a moment, he just let himself trail off. Her sweet scent still lingered softly in the air, creating a dull ache in his chest. And her blue eyes flashed in his mind, sensitive and sweet, and caring, but also the side of her that was mischievous and fun-loving. Wrenpaw had different personalities, each one Hunterpaw truly adored. And her voice... Her voice like honey, soft and smooth with the sweetest ring to it. Yeah, Hunterpaw said those things about alot of cats, but Wrenpaw was the only one he meant it to. Hunterpaw knew in his heart he'd never get over her, but he also knew she was right. It wasnt meant to be.

Springwind's next words brought Hunterpaw out of his thoughts, and he opened his eyes to blink up at his mentor. "She is special." He sighed, glancing after Wrenpaw as another ache went through his chest. "She was... Everything." He admitted, shaking his head a little. "But it doesnt matter now, does it?" He sighed, then looked up when Springwind spoke again, and shrugged.

"Its not like its up to me." Hunterpaw pointed out. "Im not mad, and there's nothing to forgive. Its just one of those things that should happen, but wont, because, well thats life for you." His gaze trailed after Wrenpaw, and he sighed. "No matter how much you want something to happen, sometimes it just doesnt, and that's... The way it should be. She's in ShadowClan, im in WindClan. And she's not going to leave her father or ShadowClan, and im.." Hunterpaw shook his head. "Not willing to leave WindClan either." He shrugged and lowered his head, giving his chest fur a quick lick. "Because this is where my heart lies, not with some she-cat." At least, not all of it.

''Well,'' Springwind softly chuckled, ''Look at you. You've grown wiser by the second.'' The tom almost felt pride swell in him when he heard Hunterpaw's words. Those were what he wanted to hear. He did not enjoy the tom flirting with every target that caught his eye. He knew it was simply an apprentice's game, but it was still attached to feelings on another cat. Springwind himself never understood it, but did that matter? Maybe it did not.

''Depends,'' Springwind licked his jaws. ''It will always matter. Because she was your first love, it hurts. And, trust me...I know a lot about heartbreak. Especially when the feeling wasn't returned, but Wrenpaw still adores you. She still loves you, and I doubt it would be easy for her to move on.'' Springwind said, looking into the distant. He let out a sigh. Watching the two apprentices made the tom think of Lovelorn. Her glossy brownish fur flowing in the wind, and her piercing green eyes friendly with a hint of fire to them. She was everything to him. The she cat that he deemed got away. She is everything.

''The future has a way of morphing things whether we like it or not.''
Springwind shrugged. The tom was open to options. He didn't know what would happen. Maybe Hunterpaw would leave Windclan to find a more suitable clan, or that he would meet Wrenpaw again and she would join Windclan to be his mate. Springwind thought that would be a happy ending for the two. But this was only because Springwind didn't want Hunterpaw to be hurt. This kit, that he knew all too well, who he grew attached to when Alunapaw was a newborn, and the tom himself was only two moons old at the time. Springwind took care, played with Hunterpaw and his sister, Breezepaw. He had adored these two kits as if they were his own. Seeing that Hunterpaw was hurt, did not settle within Springwind. It was like seeing his own kin hurt, and he never wanted to see Lovelorn's doppelganger get torn apart. Just like he didn't want that for Hunterpaw. ''Life can be pretty...spontaneous, heh.'' Springwind snorted. ''You're cutting yourself short, Hunterpaw. As happy as I am to hear you say those words--and I'm truly am happy, but I just want you to understand that anything is possible. Windclan is your home after all.'' The tom nodded. ''But it's only a place. Your true home lies with the cats you care about. Your true home is your heart, and that's the only place you should follow--and listen to because...I mean, it could be your North star. Wrenpaw seems like a really nice girl. Polite, sweet, very charming--I would had indeed made her your potential mate if she were in Windclan.'' Springwind chuckled, but noticed himself as he was stirring away from the conversation. In all honesty, he felt that Hunterpaw and Wrenpaw belonged together. And, if she weren't in Shadowclan, the tom wouldn't have minded giving their relationship a little boost. ''Alright, enough of this sappy talk, you know what I mean? Almost having a grown warrior cry over here.'' He lashed his tail, and gave himself a couple licks to calm down his fur.

Ashpaw made his way into the Gathering area behind the rest of the Shadowclan cats. The large 6 moons old cat grinned, this was his first gathering, and already he seemed to like it. He sat down near some other apprentices and looked around. His parents had let him come to the gathering,
he forgot if they let his brother too. It didn't matter. His mother and father were already having more kits too. Eww, more siblings. Ashpaw shook his head slightly, pushing his thoughts out of his head. (OPEN)

Ravenwind sighed as more cats flooded into the area, just making things more crowded. She couldn't even see most of her own clanmates anymore. She grumbled slightly to herself as cats sat down around her, knowing she might end up having to talk to them. Her blue eyes narrowed for a second before going back to normal. (OPEN)

Re: July Gathering

{All are open ^^'' }

Another gathering, another chance to make some awesome friends! Splotchfeather's ears perked at the other cats. As Grousestar made his way towards the other leaders, Splotchfeather watched in awe as the leaders looked grand in their spot. She tilted her head, a small smile gracing her face as she stared in them. They all looked...stunning. The she cat had to admit that to herself, and for a second she envisioned herself standing on that rock. Looking down at each and every cat, discussing things with the other leaders, laughing and having a great time. It dawned on her that she would have to become a leader in order for all that to happen. Thinking upon that, the she cat shook her head vigorously. Splotchfeather definitely did not have the responsibility or mindset that a leader was supposed to have. In fact, she enjoyed serving as a warrior for Skyclan.

Her yellow gaze danced from one pelt to another. Potential friends as she deemed them, but she fell in line with her clan, amazed at the other cats surrounding her. She wondered if Greystep was there. She haven't talked to him in a while, and she actually missed his company. Her thoughts were shifted when she found a falling leaf in the distance, her gaze following it as it landed to the ground. Normally, she would chase after it. Like a kit, filled with a fascination for the world, but she kept her pace, moving gracefully within the crowd of the clan. She was happy to mingle. The only problem was? Seeking out a cat that was ready for her presence.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Royalflash proudly bounded his way into the gathering. The young ginger maine coon was excited to get some trouble done, but his father repeatedly told him to remain on his good behavior. ''You represent Shadowclan. Show all the other clans that you are...at least good for something.'' Honeythistle was always hard on him, which made Royalflash become even more obnoxious. The recently made warrior had only been a warrior for two moons, and he was constantly causing mischief. Royalflash had a slick attitude, but he always managed to remain undefeated.
Since his father was practically known for his polygamous lifestyle, Royalflash has many ''mothers'' his true mother being the feisty and bossy Strawberrythorn. Royalflash didn't know if his brother was making the gathering, but he walked alongside Sunrisedapple. She was the eldest of all of them, and she was the most quiet. Like she was hiding something. Royalflash flashed his green golden gaze towards his older half-sister for a moment, before he flicked them to the rest of the crowd. He wondered if the rest of his family came. A gathering was no chance to meet. For Royalflash he loved meeting the other clans. The more cats to mess with, the better the fun would be. And, at the moment, as he was padding beside Sunrisedapple, he was looking for his next victim to annoy.
Wavesplash's dark blue hues darted around the Gathering Place anxiously. It bounced from pelt to pelt, face to face. 'Who to talk to... what to say...' The lines repeated themselves over and over in her head. Her paws kneaded nervously into the ground. Her plumed tail flicked with nervousness. It was clear the molly was anxious.
This was the norm, though. Wavesplash was almost always overthinking things. From catching a mouse to the Gathering, she was an over thinker to the end. Her eyes finally landed on a tom, a ShadowClan one to be exact. It looked like he had an air of... disapproval around him. With a small tongue swipe of her blue-gray fur, she walked over to the tom. She attempted to look like she wasn't nervous. Her cloudy blue gaze only showed hints of her inner paranoia as she approached. "Hello...?" she asked questioningly, hinting at him to give her his name.
Royalflash managed to sneak away from behind his father, leaving the side of Sunrisedapple as he lingered in the back of the line of Shadowclan. He strayed away--like he normally did. Honestly, the tom believed that he would be an awesome loner. That way he could live by his own rules, but being as young as he was, his father would had definitely disagree. And, his mother wouldn't approve anyway. Crimsonblaze? Perhaps, would cheer him on. His brother always managed to annoy, yet amuse at different times.
As he allowed the Shadowclan cats to mingle, the ginger tom practically jumped at a voice from around him. He turned his golden green gaze onto a she cat. He tried to determine which clan she was from, but did that really matter to him? Royalflash didn't care much about that. He wasn't really a nice cat when first meeting him. He stared at the she cat longer than he intended, giving her a confused look as to say Why is she talking to me? But, he didn't allow these words to slip out. They would be considered rude, and it would make Royalflash laugh. Even though he was somewhat nice, he was known as a trouble maker. A prank master. He gave the she cat a grim expression until his frown turned into a smirk. Perhaps, it would be fun to play with her. ''You talking to me?'' He asked, flashing a charming smile. Oh, how his charming personality contradicted with his troubling one. His brother was the more flirty of the two, managing to catch every she cat that passed their way. And, Royalflash? Flirted whenever he wanted to, but left that department for his brother to conquer. In all honesty, he didn't think any she cat was worth flirting with. Playing with? Most certainly. Because games were fun.
Flickerheart cleared her throat and said, "Hey. I'm Flickerheart." It was a really dumb conversation starter, but she hoped it was enough to get the SkyClan tom's head out of the clouds and- hopefully, but not likely- make a new friend, or, acquaintance.
Cliffheart, more worried now for his mate and kit, almost completely missed the introduction offered by the tom cat. His pale green eyes shifted back into focus, and his pale green eyes were in slits. He turned his dusty head to the warrior and gave a half hearted smile. "I'm Cliffheart." He offered back. He then shifted his position, so that his twisted leg sat further under him. He didn't exactly feel like explaining that to everyone, even though the position was highly uncomfortable. He gave a sniff, his nostrils flaring as he did so. That way it would be obvious he was checking the other cats scent. Twitching his whiskers he sighed. "Um, please forgive me, but being in Skyclan, I haven't figured out all the scents yet. Which Clan are you from?" He asked, his tone polite and welcoming, unlike most of the present Thunderclan and Windclan cats. But Skyclan didn't seem to know much of the happenings within the four Clans.
Letting her own claws dig into the sand, the apprentice finally let her gaze wander around the seastones. It really was magnificent, why were they only allowed here during gatherings? Quietly murmuring in agreement, Badgerpaw glanced back at Rainpaw. "What clan are you from by the way?"
Rainpaw purred happily as the other apprentice laughed, even though it was slightly. At her question, Rainpaw cocked his head slightly. Did she not recognize Windclan scent coming off of him? Or maybe she was younger, and hadn't been to the border as much times as Rainpaw had. Before the contention between the two clans started that is. "I'm from Windclan. And you're from Thunderclan, right?" Might as well make sure his suspicions were true!
Bristledawn had followed her leader to the Seastones. The creamy feline was especially excited about this gathering. It would be her first one since becoming a warrior! She still remember her warrior ceremony, clear and bright as day in her memory. Her and her brother had been so excited. As she shook put her fur, Bristledawn let her astonishing blue gaze take around the clearing for any sign of social activity. She needed to talk to someone, she hadn't been getting out much lately.
~~~~
Springingsky sauntered into the clearing, her blue eyes scanning everyone quickly as she passed them. The senior warrior was not afraid to judge, it was a lifestyle she had adopted. Besides, everycat judged in their heads, no matter how hard they tried not to. So Sprinfingsky supposed she could be a little more open about it. The feline sat down in a nice comfortable spot next to a large bush, wrapping her tail nearly around her paws. She would welcome any company, but they should be prepared for her attitude.

"So, what clan are you from? I can't tell because of all the scents." The gray Maine Coon mix asked, wrapping his darker gray tail around his paws.

Sunrisedapple hadn't noticed that Royalflash was off, but she almost growled when someone pushed her aside, and only realizing that it was her younger half-brother. The she cat let out an audible sigh as she stared at Crimsonblaze with a roll of her eyes. The two brothers were so full of themselves! It got on the dappled pelted feline's nerves. Definitely like their father she could tell. Although Crimsonblaze was more of she-cats' dreamy type. He seemed to have the type of aura that made all the she cats tumbling after him like sweet honey. Whereas, Royalflash was more of the bad-boy type, causing trouble, like to flirt, but being oblivious when another catch feelings. To Sunrisedapple, both of the brothers were out their minds. They needed to be knocked down a peg or two, but since she was a she cat. They wouldn't listen to her, so she kept quiet and continued to walk behind her father, who held his head proudly like he owned the place. ''Dream?'' She snorted, only loud enough for Crimsonblaze to hear. ''I think they would run away when they see you. You're anything but a dream. A nightmare would be more accurate.'' She giggled, softly.

She seemed nice enough to him, but he was wary. He had seen some of his relatives before she had walked over but didn't want to go over to them and seem like a kit for having no one to talk to. "So, what clan are you from? I can't tell because of all the scents." The gray Maine Coon mix asked, wrapping his darker gray tail around his paws.

Peachpaw smiled softly and gave a small dip of her head. "Nice to meet you too Ashpaw." She gave a warm smile to him. Then as he talked about the leaders, she looked up to the Seastones. "Well, Blazingstar is here. And three others. But I don't know who they are." She then turned her gaze back to the tom. "Oh, I'm from Windclan." She replied nicely. "Which one are you from? Wait, wait....it's your first Gathering? Whoa! It's my first one too!" She chirped excitedly. Good to know she wasn't the only newbie here.

Frostedpaw bounced excitedly into seastones in the back of the Skyclan patrol. No one she really knew was coming tonight, so she was lonely. But she pushed those thoughts away and became excited. When she sat down, she looked around hoping for someone to talk to. So she never missed a chance to talk.

Sparkpaw wandered into Seastones excitedly. Every scent caught her attention. She caught the scents of the other clans, all strange and new. She longed to to go of in every single direction, and explore like a kit, as this was her first gathering. She looked around, waiting to find someone to talk to.

"Nice to meet you, Skypaw," meowed Cherrypaw with some ease, already taking a liking her fellow apprentice. "This is Tigerdawn, my mentor." When she mentioned Tigerdawn. "How is the prey running in Windclan?"

Ashpaw smiled gently, looking at the shecat as she explained what clan she was from. "Oh. I am from Shadowclan. Halestar is up there with your leader." He said, "And I am sure there are a lot of other apprentices that are here for the first time at every Gathering." He was actually slightly happy it was her first time too, someone he could share the experience with. He was still slightly shocked at the massive amount of cats that came into the area so quickly. It was hard to tell what clan the cats nearby were from because of the mingling scents.

Onyxwhisper took a deep breath, this was her first Gathering as deputy. Her green hues had followed Blazingstar for a few moments. She wasn't sure exactly what to do, Onyxwhisper wasn't much of a talker. She spent a few moments observing the area, she had been here so many times before. Yet, this time it was very different. Her stomach filled with knots before another clans scent hit her nose, Thunderclan had arrived. The tensions between two clans were high but she hoped no fighting started tonight. After Thunderclan arrived, the scent of Skyclan was close behind them. She let out a quiet sigh of relief, Thunderclan and Windclan wouldn't be left in the clearing by themselves. Onyxwhisper realized she had been standing in one spot just staring off into space while she was thinking. She folded her ears back in embarrassment and began to make her way closer towards the leaders.

Stormpaw glanced nervously from side to side. Back at home, he would go up to any cat and just talk to them, here? He would have to have eaten catmint. Startled by a loud greeting, he flung himself back and bumped into a huge Riverclan tom with green eyes (Brackenheart is making an show, not roleplaying him here this time). "What where you go Mouse brain!" the tom hissed as Stormpaw scurried away. He noticed a white and brown she cat, about his size, a few mouse tails in front of him. "Hello? Can I talk with you? This is my first Gathering, and I just nearly gotten my whiskers taken by that mean Riverclan warrior over there talking to that gray and white she-cat, or yelling at by the looks of it," he chuckled nervously. No one is talking to me, why is no one talking to me?! I'm Stormpaw, goofy apprentice of Shadowclan, why is no one even looking at me?! One of his biggest fears, being ignored or alone.

So far, Alunapaw managed to make a few ice acquaintainces within her first gathering. She found it a joy to be around when her uncle wasn't breathing down her neck. The she cat quickly glance to have saw Springwind comforting Hunterpaw. Whatever, they were talking about, she didn't know. She also didn't allow herself to care. Why should she? But, she did enjoy the few apprentices that did talk to her, and as they were getting into a conversation that she did not quite understand, Alunapaw slipped her way out, ready to trot her way back towards her uncle, but a voice made her stop in he tracks. Her delicate green eyes turned to stare at another apprentice. Probably around her age, about her size. She took a whiff at the air, noticing the scent of...Shadowclan, was it? There were a lot of shadowclan cats here, scrounging around. Alunapaw let out an inaudible sigh, glancing back once at her uncle, but decided to remain in the couple of the tom in front of her. She swished her tail lowly, tilting her head at him. ''I can say the same thing,'' She spoke. ''Although, I didn't get yelled at.'' She giggled, ruffling her pelt. This tom appeared awkward to her, but since this was a gathering. It was a time of peace, and no fighting should be coerced. On the other hand, Alunapaw felt that she could get along with this tom. He seemed like a friendly place. She wished that Shockpaw was there, so she wouldn't be alone, but since he weren't, Alunapaw would have to suffice. ''You should be careful who you talk to. Not everyone is gonna be nice.'' She commented. ''I'm, Alunapaw, of Windclan.'' She flicked her tail towards Blazingstar, indicating that was her leader. ''Who are you?''

Sighing, he knew that this was the worst possible thing to happen for the two Clans, but hey, it was the gathering. They were supposed to be under a truce, they were supposed to like each other for this one evening. So, despite Windclan's reluctance on talking to Thinderclan, Storkflight made a move. The fighting wouldn't last forever. Nothing lasted forever. Things would settle in time, but why hate them constantly through the process? Storkflight applied his kind, and most welcoming smile. He approached two warriors, sitting by themself, both smelling of moors. He stuck his tail up, waving high with confidence. His crystal blue eyes sparkled brightly under the moonlight that shone down on the rock strewn beach. With the soft sound of crashing waves in the distance, the night was perfect. Perfect weather, hardly a cloud in the sky. He waved his tail in a sort of greeting to the two warriors, then his black and white striped tail hung low, as to not appear prideful or boastful. "Hello there." He meowed, trying to sound polite and kind. "I don't believe I have met you two yet. My name is Storkflight." His voice was confident, though he was putting himself out there.

That was one thing the warrior knew how to do. He knew how to take lead like that. He didn't care if someone struck him down, because if they did then it was normally for good reason. But someone had to try and be kind. If not, then what was the purpose of the gathering? Gatherings were held to share news between the Clans, not to boast, or hide secrets. So, with the Clans at war, and no one else around, Storkflight figured he could actually make the time worthwhile.

"Hello!" Tealeaf was the first to speak, uncaring the tom smelled of the forest. This was a time of truce, and this tom seemed kind enough. "I'm Tealeaf, and that's Caracalspirit!" She trilled, a smile on her maw. Caracalspirit politely dipped her head, the worried she-cat putting aside her anxiety to be kind. Still, the feeling of dread never left her even if she knew the fight would be put aside. Sitting up straight, though relaxed, she listened to the waves and looked up at the sky, the moon bright. "It's a nice night, too bad it has so much tension.." Tealeaf sighed, turning to the tom who had approached. "At least we can get over it for one night." She chuckled.

She didn't mind that he was ThunderClan, just this night. Any other time she'd be curt or rude if he approached during the battle, but they put the battle aside. Scenting the air, she caught traces of both Clans and the Sea. Feeling at ease, she nudged Caracalspirit playfully. "Awful quiet, huh?" The warrior blinked before chuckling. "So, Storkflight, how many gatherings have you been to?" Caracalspirit asked, not wanting to ask a cliche or dumb question.

This she cat did not particularly like crowds, but since she went to the gathering, she imagined she would be clumped in a crowd full of fur. The more the merrier! Her thoughts were sarcastic, and she gave herself delicate licks to illuminate her fur. Her green gaze looked at every cat around in the area. There were so many. Just...wow. It had been awhile since she came to gathering. She didn't go to the last one, preferring to stay home and sulk in her nest, but now she was up and well. Probably would mingle with a few felines if she could. But who would talk to her? The chortling of her mother constantly nagged her in her head, knocking her from ever being good enough. It would be grand if her siblings were here, but they weren't. At least, she didn't see them. Besides, Cloverwhisker was in the nursery, nursing two small kits. So, Chrysanthemumshade scanned the area. She wasn't shy--by all means. Maybe, she was bashful when you first met her, but she changed constantly. As an apprentice, she was quiet as a mouse, but as she grew older, she wanted her voice to be heard. Only...the other voices were heard more brightly. More clearly, and hers sunk like her mother predicted. So, she succumbed to being who others wanted her to be. Maybe, she wanted a new friend. So, she was looking to find a new potential victim.

Pebbleheart, a SkyClan tom, entered the gathering quickly and quietly, not one to be in the spotlight. He gazed around, trying to find someone who he hadn't really talked too. He'd been to a gathering before, though he honestly didn't know why most of the ThunderClan and WindClan cats looked so tense or why Snowstar and Blazingstar looked cold and annoyed near each-other. Maybe someone will tell me if I ask? He thought logically. So, he walked through the crowd, trying to find someone not busy in conversation. He sighed as it looked like he'd be clueless to the strange cold tension in the air. Distracted and not really looking where his paws were taking him, he bumped into a she-cat. "Sorry!" He mewed apologetically, wincing slightly at his obliviousness. He looked at the she-cat with a small, sorry smile and then glanced at the leaders. He was still puzzled, so perhaps this she-cat could tell him something?

“Hello there, Ivorypaw.” The young warrior greeted the small apprentice with a kindhearted smile, “Oh, it’s quite alright. Tension is high in the clans tonight, so I wouldn’t blame him for being a bit on edge.” Flintheart eyed the Riverclan tom and Sproutwhisker smirked at him, giving the older tom a friendly, playful nudge, “Oh, come on now, Flintheart - I remember when we first met when I was a small apprentice.” The Riverclan male said, knowing how nervous and uncertain cats can be when it comes to being around so many different clan cats at once. The older warrior gave a small sigh and nodded, not saying anymore. He saw his apprentice give him a dip of his head and the grey-furred male returned the gesture. He noticed that they were around many Thunderclan cats, making Sproutwhisker stand out, being the only Riverclan cat in the area. “You sure that you don’t want to go with your clan?” He asked him and the black-furred tom shook his head. “No, I don’t mind being here - Noirepaw is probably off socializing and Talonfang didn’t come to the gathering.” Sproutwhisker assured him, “Besides, I haven’t seen you in a long time, it’s been an honor to see an old friend once again.” He purred and a small smile came to the warrior’s face. “It was nice to see you too, Sproutwhisker.”

Hunterpaw cracked a small smile, but it didnt reach his eyes, gazing far off toward the ShadowClan cats. After a few moments though, he turned away to scan the other cats. He did see Alunapaw, and felt a small jolt in his chest. Now he was frustrated. What did the she-cat mean to him? And how could he still feel this way after... She's just a girl. Hunterpaw thought as he looked away, closing himself off. And I dont need no girl in my life.

"I know she loves me." Hunterpaw said, only vaguely hearing part of that conversation. He looked toward where Wrenpaw had gone off again, frowning deeply. "And.. I love her." The three words he had never said to another she-cat. Ever. He could say many other things to them, compliment them all his wanted. But he could never find himself to say he loved them, any of them. How could he? If it wasnt true, he shouldnt say it right? But for Wrenpaw, it was true. It was so true, that it hurt to know it didnt mean anything.

What is love?

Hunterpaw didnt say anything for a few moments, letting Springwind speak. "Im not leaving WindClan." The words were simple and true, Hunterpaw had had his doubts before, but not anymore. His family was in WindClan. His home was in WindClan. He wasnt about to leave them for a she-cat. Even if it was "love". "Im not my father. I dont want to be." Hunterpaw spoke before he could stop himself, the words coming out in a near rush. And it was the first time that he himself had ever said that aloud. Sure, Hunterpaw got his flirting abilities from Ratheart, but that was it. The apprentice was determined to never go down the path his father took.

Amberstripe padded into the gathering, gazing at the masses of cats. Spotting Ivorypaw, Amberstripe smiled and started to make her way through the crowd, often saying "Sorry, excuse me, pardon me," as she managed to make it to her apprentice. "Hi Ebonypaw, hi Ivorypaw!" The she cat grinned, still slightly out of breath, and noticed Flintheart. Flintheart was a strict cat, and Ebonypaw's mentor. Amberstripe greatly admired the tom, and dipped her head in greeting. "Hello Flintheart, nice to see you." @The Little Robin
