Sharppaw hissed as he trudged through the mud. Great, he thought. First, this stupid storm rolls in, now we lose our camp? he was a little bit away from the group, preferring not to be in a large group. He accidentally stepped in a rabbit hole, twisting his paw. Then, the mud filled up quickly, leaving his paw trapped. He tried in vain to move his paw, eyes stinging with tears. Lightning struck, frightening the apprentice. Finally, Sharppaw got over his stubbornly independent reaction and cried for help. "Help!" he screeched, pain evident in his almost kit-like voice. "Help me! Please!" [ @Teza ] ------------------- Leafstorm's gray pelt was dark brown, soaked with mud and terribly messy. She wanted to stop and groom it, but knew it was neither the time nor the place. In fact, she couldn't have chosen a worse time to think about grooming her untidy fur. It was storming, a bad sign. ShadowClan's marshes were overflowing, and now they lost their home. For how long? StarClan knew. "StarClan..." she grumbled under her breath. She hated the supposed 'good' spirits ever since they turned her down. They broke her soul, left her in disappointment. She turned to the Dark Forest Cats, her only help. They eagerly accepted Leafpaw, training her to kill. Now Leafstorm, she was plotting her revenge. Who knew when she'd strike? <<OPEN>> |

As rain continued to pour from the dark skies above, Aspenfall couldn't help but feel get a sinking feeling in his chest: StarClan was not happy with the Clans. It was evident by the sliding walls of mud and the collapsed dens that this was the first of many signs to be sent their way. If we don't change soon, then all the territories will be washed away! he thought, panic fluttering in his chest like a caged bird. The giant flood had not been expected, though the rain had been relentless the past few days. He could sense the Clan had grown wary with each passing day, and now with their entire home crumbling around them, a deep terror seemed to clutch Aspenfall's heart in it's icy death grip. Quickly, his pale green gaze swept across camp, narrowed against the harsh wind that scattered debris all over what once was the ShadowClan clearing. Most cats seemed to be managing the sludge fine, and the stronger warriors were helping those lest physically prepared get to higher ground. His eyes landed on a familiar face, and quickly the tom leaped into action. "Feathermist!" he called, the rain almost drowning out his call as he trudged through the mud, his fur sticking like a rag to his sides. Once he reached his older sister's side, the younger tom did a quick once-over, making sure that her and the kits were all right. "Where is Quietdance?" he asked, looking around to see if he could spot his sister's mate. He wasn't anywhere to be found, however, so the ShadowClan warrior turned his attention back to helping Feathermist. "Here. We need to get to higher ground," he told her, using his shoulder to help support a majority of her weight. He glanced at her, green eyes sparkling with worry. "You ready?" he asked, hoping that he would be able to get them both out and up to the territory, making himself available to come back to camp and help anyone else that needed it. |

The redish brown tom meowed loudly and caughed afterwards . He sat down and lifted his paw that was broke. Hi licked it and caughed again from the water his ears perked up when he saw other cats helping each other . He slowed his breathing ' I'll try it even tho no one will come to help me ' redfeather thought. And he meowed so loud saying " help me please *caughs* please my paw is broke please!!!*caughs* " he said feeling desperate for once in his life.

Newtpaw didn’t know what to do, her eyes were forced shut as she dug her claws into the branch, but the wet material was slowly breaking under her paws force and she knew that her makeshift holder wouldn’t last much long. Then, a voice rang out through the terror and water that stung the small cat’s ears - it was her name being yelled by a familiar voice. It made her lift her muzzle up and yowl again, her tone pained and almost to the point of crying, “Lionpaw!” The apprentice whimpered out and she hugged the branch like a lifeline until the water around her seemed to shift and a pair of jaws gripped the back of her neck and the she-cat was yanked away from the branch, a force pulling her to safety. Her muzzle dipped under the water a little bit now and then, but overall, she was able to breath as she kicked her shorted legs in assistance to help get them to drier land. All of this made the poor apprentice want to curl up and cry, this was overwhelming and terrifying to her in every way possible - especially with her problem in her form. |

[Hello :heartbounce: ] The golden warrior let out a few shaky breaths, his blue orbs wide with fear, nothing but pure fear. He tredged through the mud, it was already past his ankles, and it was steadily rising. His ears were flat against his head, he had heard stories of the legendary flood, it ate away at the clans and swallowed many cats lives, but he never thought he'd actually have to experience it first-hand. A few of his ancestors had drowned in that flood, and he didn't plan on following in their footsteps on that tale, but, with his legs being in the state that's they were he had a sickening feeling that maybe he wouldn't be able to outrun his fate this time. Morningpath clutched his jaw and was about to give up before he saw a molly stepping back, in some sort of panicking state. His body then moved on its own, he made his way to the brown molly and shoved her forward, head butting her in the behind. He then roughly bit her scruff and dragged her forward, anger blazing in his blue orbs "What in Starclan name are you doing you mousebrain?!" he snapped through fur. As soon as they were a little farther from the rising water than before he spit her out and lashed his tail, although the fear was still there anger as steadily beginning to take over "You idiot!" he snapped, he wasn't sure what else to say, it was true after all. |

Startled away by the sudden downpour of rain, Redpaw quickly scooted out of the apprentices den right as the roof collapsed in. Her eyes widened with panic, her heart hammering against her chest as she spun around quickly. She quickly took note of the utter chaos that had erupted like waves among her Clanmates, yowls and cries echoing up into their dark surroundings. The young she-cat couldn't spot any of her friends, or her mentor, and terror quickly took ahold of her. She was frozen, fur fluffed up and claws unsheathed as if prepared to take on an enemy that was simply invisible to every other cat. The mud clung to every inch of her pelt, weighing her down as if there was a physical threat facing her. After a few moments, the dark furred tabby managed to snap herself out of the catatonic state, leaping out of the place where she had been standing - and slowly had started to sink. "Appledash? Lemontuft?" she called, her shrill voice barely reaching an audible tone as the landslide continued all around her. Of course, no voice met her as an answer, and shiver passed down her spine as she kept moving, trying to keep her paws from slipping in the sticky brown sludge. Her adoptive mother and mentor were nowhere to be found as her gaze swept the clearing, and the apprentice continued to weave in an out of the evacuating cats, searching for just one familiar face in the sea of terrified bodies. |

Whitestep's wide green eyes shot open in surprise as a flood of water filled the nursery. "Owlkit, Hollykit, Willowkit, Berrykit!" Her kits yowled in surprise and slowly came over to her. "We must leave," she hissed. Owlkit's eyes were round with worry. Willowkit and Berrykit pressed closer to each other. Hollykit whimpered. Being the smallest kit, Hollykit was in more danger than all five of them. Whitestep nudged them in single file out of the nursery. "Hurry kits," she urged desperately. The water was nearing her belly as she ventured out in the flood. Her kits were on their toes. "Swim!" Her order reached Owlkit and she turned around to repeat the order. "Swim everyone," she demanded. The kits swam with great difficulty, but Hollykit in particular thrashed around in a panicked frenzy. His choked cry was drowned out by the rushing water. "Hollykit!" Whitestep bent down and lifted him up. Hollykit desperately coughed out the water and fell limp. Anxiety pricked her heart. Was he dead? That question chilled her more than the rushing water did. "We must hurry," Whitestep told her kits through clenched teeth as they neared the hill. "Keep going!" The kits and their mother hurried up the hill. Hollykit whimpered and twitched. Stay strong young one, she willed silently. Setting her kit down she began to swiftly dry his fur, then Willowkit's, then Berrykit's and finally Owlkit's. Once their fur was groomed the wrong way, Whitestep remembered a familiar face in her mind. Leafclaw! How could she have forgotten. Rising to her paws, she parted her jaws in a yowl. "Leafclaw! Are you here?" ...No response. "Leafclaw!" Her voice rose to a desperate, shrill cry. Rain battered her pelt as she felt more numb than her paws. "Leafclaw," she whimpered, doubt edging her mew. "Be safe."

The lean warrior noticed the other tom’s lack of effort now and he knew that he was losing strength as each moment passed. The mud underneath his paws was starting to give out and Pinewhisker uttered a yowl of pained strength as he heaved Bumbledawn onto the dampened grass that was freed from the flood. “Get to safety to the rest of the clan!” He hissed at the tom-cat, who was now free from danger, for now, at least, “Go on! Hurry!” The mud that was between his claws gave away and the current dragged the brown-striped male under, sweeping him into the current before he was bashed against a tree branch and the male dug into paws into the bark, breaking through the surface once more and gasping for breath. “Foxdung..” Pinewhisker coughed, his body shaking from the cold and shock. |

Was this warrior deaf or something? Was she blind? Could she not see that she was putting herself at risk? The longer she was out here, the more risk she had of dying. Daypaw was smart, they knew her name,"Marshfur!" She looked so calm and collected, like she didnt mind that this was going to happen. It only made Daypaws blood boil. There were other cats they could be tending to, not someone who didnt care to be saved. Instead of waiting for a reply, Daypaw leaned over and grabbed her by the scruff hastily. |

@Charmer "Thank you," Daypaw replied hastily before turning around in their den. They wanted to get Lucky out, she had been attacked by a dog and couldnt risk getting any water in her wounds at the moment. "Her name is Lucky, shes a kittypet." They didnt know how the warrior would feel about keeping a kittypet secret in their den for healing, but right now they didnt care. Daypaw popped a head in the den,"Lucky, Shadowclan is having an evacuation, were going to get you out of here." |

Amberstorm trudged through the rain, her tortoiseshell pelt thoroughly coated with mud. She had just returned from hunting to find floodwaters rising at an alarming rate in camp, and she now shook from the cold water that had infiltrated her fur. Her narrowed amber eyes scanned over her Clanmates, looking for any stragglers. She quickly spotted Whitestep and her kits and rushed to their aid. The dappled she-cat gave no warning as she scooped up Owlkit and Berrykit. "Hurry!" Amberstorm yowled around the two bundles. "Grab your other kits and follow me!" |

Ebonymist nodded. "Alright." She darted after Daypaw, skidding to a stop before Lucky. "Hey, Lucky. My name's Ebonymist, I'm here to help." She said softly, picking up Lucky with her jaws and maneuvering her around to get her on her back. "There's a lot of cats heading towards where Goldeneye had been standing, I'll get Lucky over there and come back." She told Daypaw, before getting out of the den and walking swiftly, but carefully so that she wouldn't lose Lucky to the mud. As much as she could, she tried to keep the kittypet dry but with this heavy storm it was probably unlikely to happen. "Lucky, you doing okay back there?" @Charmer Ebonymist set off after her mate, still carrying Daturakit. "There are so many cats that need to be helped, I feel so useless." Ebonymist admitted to her mate, stumbling after a particularly rough burst of wind almost sent her tumbling to the ground. Her fur was soaked, mud streaked across her paws and up to her belly, and every step was a struggle to get out of the mud. |

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
@starfall @woly [idk who to reply to but they both grabbed her scruff so uh cool ok] Even as the cats grabbed her and started to drag her, Marshfur was dead weight. She didn't struggle, kick her paws and try to get away from them, and she didn't snap out of her trance. It was the equivalent to dragging a dead cat, which Marshfur had already declared she was. She decided that this was fate, this was what is supposed to happen to her. This is how her life was to end. She was hoping they would grow tired of trying to carry her and just leave her. Praying for them to leave her because if they did, they would be denying StarClan their plan for her, but she was so convinced this was supposed to happen. She wasn't even cold, she felt warm and content like she was already in StarClan, and she might as well have been. She didn't reply to them, she was just a blank slate. There was no way she was getting out of there unless someone was dragging her out because she certainly wasn't going on her own. Her mind flashed of memories of her mother and sister. The terrified looks on their faces as the murky blackness consumed them. Her own reaction, trying to flee back into the tunnel, as if she could reach them or as if she could save them. That's what she'd told anyone that asked. But the truth was she wanted to be with them. They looked so scared, at first she'd wanted to help them, dive into the water and yank them out, even if it was a hopeless thought. She'd made it about half way in before someone dragged her out, soaking and yowling about how she had to help them. She had to keep them safe. She had to help them on their way to StarClan. She'd nearly shrieked that out. As she was dragged, it was the most abnormal thing. A small, happy smile broke out across her maw. It wasn't forced or sad or anything. It was so... genuinely happy. Her paws dragging in the black currents, caked in mud, her pelt drenched. She was about to die and Marshfur was smiling. |

Mothflower searched the camp for her family, eyes wide in panic. "Honeythistle!" She screamed, her long fur bushing up as much as it could while it was soaked. The dilute calico shivered, she was soaked to the core. "Honey! Help! Where are you?" She called again, fear racing through her. She couldn't leave camp until she found him, terrible thoughts racing through her mind. What if I never see him again? Please, come help me Honey! Mothflower felt the water rushing over her feet, slightly unbalancing her. Her face went under the water, and for a dreadful moment Mothflower thought she was going to die, until she pushed her paws with just enough strength to get to slightly higher ground. |

Blackfrost was relieved when her mate grabbed onto the branch with her, the two of them now hanging on for dear life as they went along with the current, past cats that were struggling to keep their heads above water. She wanted to help them, but the warrior knew that this branch would only be able to last for a little while longer. The long-furred female looked at Crowhawk, her ears pinned against her head in fright of this whole situation. “I.. I’m alive.” Blackfrost told him, honest, “Both of us need to get to safety..” Her voice was low, scared and just uncertain of what was to come for the two of them. She uttered a hiss of pain as rocks scraped against her flank from under the water and she looked around, her eyes widening as she saw a root of a tree sticking out of the mud. “There!” She exclaimed, pointing to the root coming out of the wall of mud, “We can grab onto that and pull ourselves up to the higher ground!” |

His own voice was shaky as he spoke, both from the cold and the previous panic still waiting to wear completely off. "I-It's alright now, Newtpaw. I've got you, okay? I won't let you get hurt again. I promise." He knew it was stupid to maks that promise. No one could guarantee one's safety, no matter how much they wished to. But he wanted - needed - to make her feel more safe. He drew away and leaned down to her level, meeting her eyes. He saw fear. Terror. Another thing Lionpaw wasn't familiar with. A look he'd never seen from her. A look he never wanted tonsee in her eyes again. He looked at the entrance, which they'd come out of before he'd halted. The water was getting closer to exiting, and he knew they had to get moving. Keeping as close as he could, even beginning to oress against her, he urged her forward once more, following their Clanmates. He let a few words slip from his mouth, his voice nearly quiet enough not to be heard. "I've got you, NewtNewt. And I won't let you go." |

The cool rain hit against Daypaws pelt like bullets. Tiny little drops of ice cold water that made the enbys fur cling to their small body. They wanted to let go and let her walk for herself. Their neck was in pain, a small apprentice trying to carry a full grown warrior. Their jaw ached for them to just drop Marshfur where she stood. Daypaw hesitated. They couldnt. When they had accepted to be a medcat they had vowed to heal their whole clan as if it were their own kits,as if every every thread on each on of Marshfurs ungrateful pelt was their best friend. They wanted to scream. They were scared too. They had to mentor to rely on, to lean on for support. Their mother, gone with some shecat. Daypaw didnt even know if she was safe. Daypaw was terrified no matter how much they denied it. They wanted to be a kit and curl up in the nursery and let mama take care of everything. They had to grow up fast. They held their grip tighter on the mollys pelt, giving a huff and they continued to basically drag her to high land. They refused to let her die. Quote:

Watching Ebonymist put Lucky on her back, Daypaw was slightly relived. They spoke up over the loud sound of the rain pouring,"Im going to help Ebonymist walk you up to the high ground above the hill, youll be safe there." |

"Once I get you to safer grounds, I'll look for him," Aspenfall promised, nodding as he spoke. The one thing that was well known about the younger tom was that he stuck by promises, even small ones. Especially when they were surrounding his family. Without further conversation, he glanced ahead and started forward, fighting his way through the mud and using his shoulder that was supporting Feathermist to help get her through the tough barrier as well. His ears twitched at the sound of another cat practically swimming their way; Brackenleaf. He didn't know that the cat was non-binary - he really only stuck close Peachfuzz and his older littermates since he looked up to them so much - but he was grateful for the help nonetheless. "Here, can you make sure she gets to higher ground?" he asked, looking at Brackenleaf to make sure the cat understood. He then looked at Feathermist, touching his nose to her ear swiftly in a brief display of sibling affection. "I'll come search for you once I know everyone is safe. Quietdance is next on my list," he told her, nodding and meeting her gaze with his own. @CandyFlossCat |
