Jem closed her book and looked forwards. She was here on recommendation. She thought that someone Else would ask the question. After all most people were waiting for their costumes. Another person would all the question, right? She sighed and took off her reading glasses and put them in her bag one of her eyes shined from the contact lens in her eye. She pulled up one of the news stories of a hero defeating a villain and started reading it. Her arm clanked a little as she tapped her fingers against the desk, hoping she didn't put a scratch or a dent in the top.

(Question, why do you keep calling Patrick kaira?)
