Bumblestep led his patrol back into camp, mouths carrying shells of all different shapes and colors. He nodded to the queens and apprentices before splitting off and heading back towards the entrance. It seemed to be lacking the sharp edges the rest of the camp had.

Yellow eyes scanned the clearing, quickly landing on the little bundle of fur he had to leave behind. "Slatekit! Want to help me weave these shells into the entrance?" He called. He stretched up to begin at the top, knowing most of the smaller Riverclan cats wouldn't be able to reach.
He was back! He was back he was back he was back! Shooting up onto her paws Slatekit dashed forward, eyes wide and excited. ”Yes! I can help! That’s me!” She was practically bouncing up and down with excitement at Bumblestep’s paws, blue eyes practically liquidated in joy as she looked from the warrior to the shells, then back again. ”I want to protect camp against those evil ThunderClan cats. They’ll never get past it!”

Not wasting any time, the young gray kit bent down to grab one of the shells in her mouth - it was quite large, something she hadn’t been expecting - but she managed to pull it over to the lower part of the entrance, using her paws to maneuver it into the wall as best she could. Once placed, Slatekit stepped back to admire her work before reaching up on her hind legs to swat at Bumblestep’s side. ”Bumbelfoot look! I got it! I got one!”

Silverkit looked up at the cat who had spoken to him. The cat was a warrior who he had never seen before. He smiled, happy to meet someone new and happy to possibly have a partner in the decorating event.
"Yes," he meowed, but then added, "please."
This was going to be the best day ever. All he had to do was make sure that the warrior didn't go away. That wouldn't be too hard, right? He hoped not. Finding someone, only to have them leave him. That would be horrible. So, he was going to make sure it wouldn't happen.

It must be pretty hard to comprehend, as kits were usually blocked from the rest of the world.

"It's hard to get to the ones at the top," Silverkit told him and then added, "I like to help, but sometimes I wonder if I'll ever do enough."
He had never told anyone his worries. It was weird that a cat he didn't know was the first cat he would tell. Why hadn't he told anyone else before? Silverkit didn't want to make cats worry. If he could keep his fears a secret, he would. Though, talking about them felt really good.
"Please don't tell anyone that," he asked pleadingly. I don't want to worry anyone. My mother has enough to worry about."

If you are worried you should tell someone or the worry warriors that reside in your head will claw at your resolve and fill your mind with despair. The wrong way to fight worry is alone. In order to fight them, you need allies like, say, your mother." he said.

Hmm, how to explain it to him... "You say you don't matter as much. to who? you, as the next generation, matter more than I do. You matter to the clan, you matter to your mother, you matter to a future mate, you matter to your kits." he said. "You can feel sad for yourself, pity yourself, but eventually you'll learn..." he said.

Quietclaw sighed in turn. "You realize that that is a really self destructive view, right?" he said. "You might go to great lengths to make someone happy, and that's good, but what if doing bad things makes them happy and they ask you? what then?" he asked.

Silverkit wanted to be able to tell the warrior that he wouldn't do it, but he couldn't because it wasn't true. "I guess it depends how much I like them. If they're my family, I would do it. If not, I don't think I would do it."
The warrior was bringing up some interesting facts, but Silverkit didn't think he was destructive. He didn't want to be. That wasn't what he had meant. He was doing good.
