It was too late: GLaDOS lowered the ceiling of the crevice, and Wheatley's little space was covered.

(ok, skip this chamber, just say she beat it bc I can't remember what it was or how to beat it haha)

On the elevator ride, Wheatley appeared once again. He was sliding down a management rail that was-- instead of horizontal-- vertical. "Hey! How's it going? I talked my way onto the nanobot work crew rebuilding this shaft. They are REALLY small, so--" He sparked a little, and a very high-pitched and sped-up voice-ish thing spoke to him. "Ah-- I KNOW, Jerry. No, I'm on BREAK, mate. On a break. Anyway, we're really close to busting out. Just hang in there for-- OW!" He sparked, and Jerry "spoke" again. "Just hang in there for five more-- What? Jerry, you can't fire me for that! Yes, JERRY-- OR, maybe your prejudiced worksite should have accommodated a nanobot of my size. Thanks for the hate crime, Jer! See you in court, mate. Anyway, look, just hang in there for five more chambers."

(important game dynamics i just skipped: energy tube that moves u from place to place, and light bridge-- both always come from a single place, but kinda like a laser in the way that you can use portals to just... EH IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN, HERE SOME SHORT YT VIDS TO SHOW YOU -- light bridge -- energy thing)

(only watch 16 secs of the energy tube thing-- also, that's the only chamber where a button needs to be pressed to activate it :P)

(also forgot about turrets-- they're basically just cute guns)

The lights shut off. "What's going on? Who turned off the lights?" A panel on the wall opened, and Wheatley was behind it. He was speaking in an exaggerated Texan drawl. It sounded very stupid. "Hey, buddy! I'm speaking in an accent that is beyond her range of hearing!" "Look - metal ball, I CAN hear you." "Run! I don't need to do the voice. RUN!" The wall opened up more so Jessica could come through. It revealed metal catwalks over a seemingly bottomless pit, and looked like it went behind the test chambers.
