Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Nightgaze Thunderclan warrior Nightgaze padded over quickly from the warriors' den and sat down, moss clinging to her pelt. She'd slept in late so she wasn't the earliest to the meeting but she was sure she hadn't missed much. Picking off the debris from her messy fur, she immediately halted what she was doing at Bumblestar's announcement. They were driving Riverclan out? With Shadowclan and Windclan?! Wow...how unexpected! Bright green hues alight, the warrior straightened to attention now. The the fish-faces would finally get what they deserved! Practically shaking with excitement now, pointy ears swivelled towards Mudhound as they spoke. Take in Riverclan's younger cats? Hmm...like the hornet said it didn't matter what blood they had as long as they were loyal and Night whole heartedly agreed since she uad been brought in from outside the clans but she had some doubt...well, mabye it could work, though some of her clanmates seemed to disagree...wait...she got it! "Hey, I think we could let some of the fish-faces join us, afterall they could become useful, but we should test them first! Some kind of challenge so we know they'll be loyal to Thunderclan!" And that was the molly's plan, which she declared very loudly, it could work, right? She wasn't sure what kind of test yet, since she was brainstorming at the second, but she'd only voice it if her clan showed interest! OPEN |
Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Lightningpaw chewed on her claws nervously as she listened to this. She wasn't sure if she could help drive out the clan or if that would be a good idea at all. What if starclan got upset that there wasn't four clans? What if nothing changed? What if... Oh she was just nervous in general. Lightningpaw could be prickly but she had a hard time finding enough hate to kill another cat, or drive one out of their home. Might as well be killing some of them by doing that.

Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Of course it was inevitable that Bumblestar would talk about this, war with RiverClan was coming soon, a three-clan attack on them to drive them out of their territory temporarily. Snakefang hoped that RiverClan wouldn’t try to fight, because she knew that when the day came, if she’d have to fight her own brother, she wouldn’t be able to do it. Sure, Duskleaf might’ve been a little angry with her at the last gathering, but Snakefang knew she wouldn’t be able to bring herself to harm him, or her father for that matter, if Reedclaw was still alive that was…
"Haha yeah! Let’s teach those fish a lesson!" Snakefang knew she couldn’t show how she really felt about it, and felt almost guilty saying this, but it was more important to her that her secret wasn’t found out, because if the rest of ThunderClan found out that she was actually half RiverClan and had been hiding it, that might make them question her loyalty, so she pretended to be enthusiastic about this attack, even though in reality she was dreading it. "They've got away with literal murder! Bunch o' rogues if you ask me, unworthy to be called a clan." Lying through her teeth like this was not a nice feeling, it was wrong, but she felt it was necessary to keep her secret. (Open for anyone who wants to interact with her, also first time getting to explore her dishonesty!) |
Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Skunkstrike ------------ "You mean the total beating we gave them wasn't a clear enough message that they needed to straighten up?" Skunkstrike practically sneered in disbelief. How sick could those poisonous fish get? Their leader seemed liked a total weakling, unable to defend, or unwilling to defend his Clan's actions from the accusations, regardless whether or not he thought the accusations were true. "If they want to act foolish and arrogant, they need to be reminded what a Clan truly is. If they want to act like an oversized pack of rogues, they can be treated as the threat a pack of rogues that size really is." |
Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
So, everything had finally boiled over, then. Riverclan was going into all-out war. Blazepaw was rather impressed that somehow, Riverclan pissed off every single clan enough that they'd join forces to drive them out. Fadingsun must be losing it.
Randomly killing a deputy? Torturing apprentices? Not to mention the kidnapping, poisioning, etcetera. Really, with the way Bumblestar was talking, they sounded almost comically evil. Surely it must be chaos over there, either that or even all the cats who inevitably whined about violence were brainwashed, thrown out or killed. The clans always made the others sound bad, sure, but usually not to this extent. Seemed like everyone was dead serious. Bumblestar claimed the exile was temporary, but Blazepaw was a little skeptical. Depending on how forcefully Riverclan was... escorted out, there might not even be a clan left to return. And if their territory was "up for grabs," what if all of it was taken? Blazepaw was already picking about flaws in the logic here, but Bumblestar didn't seem open to criticsm on the exile part. He wasn't going to waste his breath. Well, in an attempt to make this announcement seem at least slightly more open, Bumblestar was asking for the clan's opinion on letting Riverclan cats join. Mudhound, Wolfhive, and Ripplepaw had a point, or at least half of one... though he felt like the fact not all of Riverclan was terrible should be obvious. Maybe a little terrible, depending on how much you liked to generalize, but the kits and young apprentices weren't the ones doing the torturing. Not like most of his clanmates realized, or cared. "While the idea of letting young cats in might sound nice, or every cat who wants to 'redeem themselves,'" Blazepaw started with a dull sigh, "they are abandoning their clan. Their clan that everyone hates, sure, but do we really want our new clanmates to be the type that won't even try putting up a fight? If anything, I respect the cats more who won't turn tail the second things get hard. Loyalty isn't everything, especially not if it makes you blind, but really. A little backbone wouldn't hurt." Blazepaw flippantly waved his paw, thinking on how to continue with his thoughts. "And in the long run, letting in this wave of Riverclan cats might cause trouble. What if they want to go back, if Riverclan ever pulls their act together? Will they really be able to fight their old clanmates, be useful in a war where they're ashamed to show their faces to the cats they betrayed? Kits might be less of a problem, but even then, they may start flaking off to 'reconnect with their Riverclan past.'" "Plus, letting in some stray kits shouldn't make anyone feel any better about themselves. If we're driving them out, everyone helping should realize that kits are likely going to die from this. It'll be hard for Riverclan during the exile, that's the point. If we're trying to punish Riverclan, you might as well be commited." Honestly, Blazepaw didn't care if some of their clanmates were disloyal cowards. But did Bumblestar really want that? He was trying to think for the sake of his clan here, even if they ended up not listening and regretted it later. He was almost proud of himself, for managing to ignore the thoughts of his... personal biases against Riverclan for his whole little speech. Feeling too vengeful would just be distracting. |
Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Amberwhisker frowned. She was glad RiverClan was going to get what they deserved ... but she hoped it wouldn't effect her or her kit. |
Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Mallowpaw 63/100 When Bumblestar called a meeting, Mallowpaw padded hesitantly out of the apprentice den. The events of the last meeting were still on her mind; Crowpaw, a traitor. The rage darkening Bumblestar's face as she demoted, renamed and exiled him. The anger from her clanmates, from some she'd never seen angry. Springlight, one of the nicest high ranks, snarling in Crowpaw- Thrushkit's face. None of the meetings she had attended so far had been peaceful, but Mallowpaw still clung onto that hope as she sat down and Bumblestar started speaking. There were no pleasantries, no kits becoming apprentices. Bumblestar cut straight to the chase, listing RiverClan's crimes. Mallowpaw had heard about the RiverClan warriors in WindClan's camp and Fallownose's death, but she hadn't heard some of the other news, like how he was killed by RiverClan's new deputy. Then she told them- Twilightstar had proposed for them to drive RiverClan out of their territory. Bumblestar had agreed. The leader started listing all of RiverClan's crimes, many she'd never heard of. Bumblestar had been leader her whole life; she hadn't been alive when RiverClan had committed these acts, when ThunderClan's leadership was as unstable as the clan Bumblestar so hated. But Mallowpaw could only remember the time when ThunderClan raided RiverClan. Then Bumblestar started explaining the details of the battle. RiverClan was to be driven out, their camp raided, their territory claimed. She sighed a breath of relief when Bumblestar said that it wasn't mandatory to fight. She just had to make herself useful while the rest of the clan was gone. Mallowpaw could do that; she couldn't leave camp without a warrior accompanying her, but she could help set up nests in the medicine cat den, if the medicine cats allowed it. But then her gaze drifted to Wolfhive. Would he want her to fight? He wouldn't force her, she knew that, but she didn't want to disappoint him. She had battle training, if only a little, and Wolfhive would most likely teach her more. Battle was his speciality, after all. Mallowpaw swallowed, bringing her gaze back to Bumblestar. She would fight if necessary, even if she didn't want to. A warrior fought as well as hunted. Now Bumblestar wanted to hear the clan's opinions on whether she should let RiverClan cats in. The majority of cats that voiced their opinions wanted to let cats in, or at least kits and apprentices. Wolfhive was one of them. A few were vehemently against it; the anger in their voices reminding her of how they reacted to Thrushkit's treason. Mallowpaw chose to remain silent; she didn't have a strong viewpoint on the matter. |
