The she's eyes widened at the many kits surrounding her even her own. Duskkit was tossing around in his sleep and well the others were just cold.

Blackkit shivers even more. trying to cuddle closer to Snowwhisker.

Rainout looks confused. Her nose scrunches up and her eyes narrow in concentration. But she is just a kit. What’s going on? She plops to the ground, exhausted from thinking.

She wanted mama. At least the one who raised her. Her actual ma…well…she didn’t know. All she knew was SoftDaisy and that’s all she cared to know about. Getting yelled at by that warrior for no reason still had her…shaken. She had no training but…when she was there the fear of attack pricked her. Calling her stupid…threatening to tell Aunty Bumble…telling her to get her ass out then den. Then RisingStormand (super cool) WolfPaw interfered…and a lot got quiet. Then she yelled, then the grown-child mocked her…Aunty Bumble was after that, now into mama. Then she’d bother papa at some point.

She poked her head into the nursery, spotting SoftDaisy and quietly padding up to her. “Ma!” she tried to act normal in her typical, chipper, striving voice. The usual light in her gaze faltered though…

Softdaisy hadn't been moping! No! She just... missed her kittens. The ones who'd moved out, and the ones were sick. Briefly, her idiotic mind had considered pretending to be sick just to go see Mantiskit and Mitekit, but then Softdaisy realized that if she was exposed to the sickness, she wouldn't be able to come back here, where the majority of her kits were. Mulling this all over, Softdaisy perked up instantly at the sound of a familiar voice.

Fireflypaw!

Her most enthusiastic little sweetheart-- was... not so enthusiastic? Oh dear, where was her usually happy-go-lucky baby? Softdaisy chuffed softly, tongue clicking with disapproval at whatever had upset her darling. "Come here, baby bug." Softdaisy sat back on her haunches and lifted her front paws to fold the apprentice into a warm embrace. "Who upset you, darling? Do I need to teach them some manners?"

Shadekit pads slowly into the nursery. She looks back at the opening to the den. Bumblestar is no longer watching her. She pushes her paws out in front of her and arches her back, stretching. To tell the truth, she felt a little worn out. The day had taken its toll.

Her tongue ran across her dusty fur, removing the dirt and grime. She sighed. She would start helping out in a minute.

"Wish I could," Shadekit meows, looking up at Stormpelt. "...but I've been temporarily demoted to kit status." Saying out loud just makes Shadekit feel dejected. She tries not to show it though.
