The little tom kit blinked awake and looked around. No Mama or siblings around. He rolled onto his back and looked at the cielingnof the nursery for a minute. Who knew how longbit would be til Mama was back. He drifted off like that after a while

When he woke once more, maybe twenty minutes later, there was Mama. Laying right there. Maybe his siblings were off doing something. He stood and stumbled over his paws as he walked up to his mother's face and sat before her.

"Mama?" He mewed softly, his voice unsure. What kind of mood was she in, he wondered, and should he prepare himself for yelling?

He hung his head, seeing the anger in his mother's eyes and shifting anxiously on his front paws. Oh. Okay. Mama [IIwasn't[/I] in a very good mood. He frowned and sat down before her.

"Sorry, Mama... I just wanted to ask where you were earlier." he mumbled solemnly, pawing half-heartedly at the nest. He hadn't meant to upset her. He just wanted to know where she had gone to before he had woken up earlier.
