Re: RiverClan Nursery
Palekit curled into a ball, eyes stretched wide--extremely uncommon for a newborn kit--and had his tail stretched out behind him. The Tom's red eyes where frozen staring ahead but unfocused, and he did not go towards his mother, instead lying curled up and shivering, feeling cold.

Re: RiverClan Nursery
"Okay let me see them!" Whisperheart pushed her way in, eyes lit up with excitement as she padded forward. "Oh Blue they're beautiful!" "I wanna see!" Willowblaze squealed, leaping after her. "Ferret cmon!" "Stop freaking out." Ferretblaze padded after her calmly, the orange tabby's eyes flickering over the kits. "They're...Kinda cute." Sweetheart sat back, smiling. "You did good sis." Bluesong looked up at her. "Remember when we were apprentices? I never thought then that I could become a mother." She looked at Whisperheart. "If it werent for you, I would have stayed evil. Me and Sweetheart both." Whisperheart purred. "It wasnt who you were meant to be my friend." Sweetheart smiled. "People change people." "Secret of life." Willowblaze smirked. "I wonder if i'll get to mentor one when they're older." Bluesong chuckled and looked down at her kits, beaming proudly, pulling Palekit over to her and licking the kits head. "Maybe you will Willow." |

Ospreykit glanced up, his eyes still closed. The small white brown and black mixed kit stared blindly up at the variety of voices that came from nearby. He frowned slightly and released a pitiful mew of dissatisfaction. The young kit turned back, using his nose and tiny black paws to locate his mother's belly where he began to suckle. [when will we time skip to when they open their eyes?] |

(( ^^ ))
Palekit wobbled to his paws and walked around in indecisive circles. His tail swished behind him, and he finally decided to go to his mother, where he began to suckle, still shivering slightly from cold. |
Re: RiverClan Nursery
Ripplekit sighed and walked away from Saltkit. She laid down in an unoccupied nest and put her head on her paws, thinking.

@Suspiciousmindz @Hexict @Tiny Moony @TehDerpyShoelace A small glimmer of hope swelled through the young kit as they saw life spark back into their mothers eyes after they had inquired about doing something, but that hope dwindled away when they saw her eyes go to Lochkit, the only one of them that truly seemed to resemble their father. Shuffling their paws, Quailkit looked at the ground and flicked an ear as Lotusheart moved her head past them and to the grey and white kit that was their brother, rasping her tongue over him as Quailkit asked about doing something, perhaps a game, to help them with the grief, their yellow eyes focusing on their mother a moment before looking back to the ground. A small smile formed on the kit's lips as their mother in turn licked them on the top of the head, they had always liked it when she did that, it made them feel loved, comforted. It was a nice warm feeling. But the smile seemed to fade as they noticed the distant look in their mother's eyes, knowing that she was probably still thinking about Fogstep, just like they all were, but she was probably even more effected than them. Quailkit's memory of their father was very vague, but they still knew that they loved him very much and it wouldn't.. Wouldn't be the same without him there. But hearing Lotusheart's voice agree with them, Quailkit quickly perked up, an excited look dawning on their appearance. What do I want to play? To be truthful, the kit didn't even expect to get this far! They giggled out as Lotusheart's paw touched their nose, scrunching it up and flattening their ears for a moment before they shrugged and looked around the nursery. "Um.. We could.. We could play catch-the-tail? I-I like that one!" They purred out before gasping out, "Or we could play mossball! I like that one too!" Considering they were only a moon old, Quailkit wasn't the best at walking yet, they were still really clumsy and tumbled often, but they were getting the hang of it, and had discovered from the other kits the game of mossball. It was hard since thy couldn't quite run yet, but it was still fun! At least they thought so anyways, they weren't sure about their siblings and looked over at them for a moment before blinking and perking their ears up as they heard a new voice. Tilting their head, the fluffy kit looked up at Jasperpelt as Lotusheart curled her tail around them tighter. Oh, he wants to join! "Of course you can join mister! Well I mean.. I wouldn't mind it, but I can't speak for my siblings or mother." Mewed the kit with a polite smile, squirming out of their mothers tail and stumbling up to peer up at him. "What's your name?" Quailkit knew that Lotusheart knew him.. Or wait.. Did she? They couldn't tell, but he seemed friendly enough. "I'm Quailkit!" |

Re: RiverClan Nursery
Leapardkit sat within her nest, a cool draft of the leafbare wind brushing her back and sifting through her thin pelt. Lashing her tail the small kitten got to her paws, picking her way over the moss that was laid in her path. Other kits where playing, playing stupid games. She passed a blind kit and contiues on her path. Passing between the high edges of the nursery walls and the nest edges that tower overtop of her. Bringing a soft scent of milk laced with the mixed scents of the queens and kits. Leopardkit was only 5 moons old butt she believed she knew everything there was to know about being an apprentice and quite honestly she didn't think it was fitting for her, getting up before light to run around. To fall in the dust while fighting to prove what? That you can knock down someone? Lovely. To run trip and fall into the river during leaf bare? To slip on ice and trek through a snow filled territory? So you get to know what it looks like? You have a nose for a reason. There are scent borders. Anyway when you get to be an apprentice everyone expects you to grow up. Leave everything behind and embrace the new without giving a second thought. Subconsciously she had reached the edge of the nursery and was faced with the exit. Looking out into the tunnel of light that stretched out and out. It was fascinating, certainly something she would love to explore. The big wide world beyond the scent markers. She looked away from the bright clearing and back into the dark nursery that had small dapples of light crossing the den. She turned back. Still apprenticeship wasn't so intriguing. No not at all. |
