Re: ShadowClan Warriors' Den
NightWolf came back earlier than usual today, he had hunted and trained enough today, as he came into the den again he made sure to not disturb the others who were already sleeping, once he got to his nest he settled down and got comfortable With a yawn he closed his eyes and focused on the sounds of nature around him, after a day of hard work, sleeping to the sounds of the forest is one of the best rewards he can think of. |
Re: ShadowClan Warriors' Den
After a long day of hunting NightWolf came into the warriors den and laid down on his nest, however he couldnt sleep, he was growing tired of this routine, hunt and train hunt and train, everyday but he feels as if he can serve his clan better. He knows many of the senior cats will always shoulder the responsibilities that they cannot trust him with yet but he wants to prove to his leaders that he is fiercely loyal to his clan, he just needs to find out how to do it, perhaps he isnt strong enough yet.. He was becoming irritated the more he thought about it, he needed to let some anger out, he gets up and leaves the den and heads towards the area where the apprentices train, it is late enough that he shouldnt disturb anycat who is mentoring an apprentice Once there he unsheathes his claws, he practices the fighting moves he was taught by his mentor, repeating and looking for anyway he can improve them, however the frustration within him still lingered. "StarClan give me patience," he says softly, though he knows deep within his heart, he wants more, he wants to be more, he tries to stay true to the warrior code but the ambition within him always cries out for more. Harsh breathing with too much time between each gasp caught their attention immediately and squinting into the den they could make out another cat among the nests. "Hello? Moonseer kept their mew low volume and approached just a few paw steps closer. They didn't want to spook the poor warrior anymore than they already were. Moonseer cursed their eyes for a moment, still not being able to make out who this poor cat was. Moonseer lowered themselves a tail length's away from the scared cat, waiting to see if they had heard them. |

Moonseer They/them | ShC Warrior | Moons: 20 | Purrks: none | Moonseer flinched back harshly at the sudden yelling, the sound doing nothing to help their hurting head. Though that didn't matter right now. Moonseer kept their mew calm, even, and low as they spoke to the distressed she-cat, "My name is Moonseer, I am your clanmate. I will not harm you." The she-cat didn't seem to hear them as she continued to wail. The cries were so full of grief and heartbreak that even Moonseer felt mournful just hearing it. The poor molly wailed the name of someone Moonseer wasn't familiar with. The other warrior lowered her voice for the last phrase just a small bit as she turned to look at Moonseer fully. Her eyes were fuzzy in Moonseer's vision but the pure anguish in those eyes was as clear as the moon in the sky, "please." Silentraven said. Moonseer almost felt at blame for bringing such misery to this cat, but there was nothing that they could do in that moment besides trying to bring them comfort. Moonseer spoke, "Silentraven is your name, correct? It's a pretty name. Can you tell me what he thought of it?" Moonseer tried to sound comforting. This cat wouldn't take well to a complete topic switch, too focused on her grief to do such a thing, but Moonseer could try and move her thoughts from complete and utter loss to something easier on the heart, "Could you tell me about him?" |

Darkcloud Shadowclan warrrior Purrks: Just a scratch and Shadow fiend(both inactive) Another uneventful day, as always. Sometimes it felt like nothing interesting happened, but she supposed that was a good thing since that meant that nothing bad was happening either. Well, there were lynxes in the territory, but they weren't a big threat at the moment, so she wasn't very concerned about that. Darkcloud attempted to fall asleep a few times, but like always, she found it difficult to doze off, and besides, she was a light sleeper anyway, so it wouldn't really matter. Sighing silently, she started to groom her pelt in the hopes of eventually becoming tired enough that she'd bed down until early morning at best. OPEN |

After a moment, tho, she calmed, ears perking again. Yes.. I’m Silentraven. She began, then quickly dove into details. He.. he was the best cat to have ever lived.. When I was a kit, my parents didn’t like me.. I was often starved, forced to take care of myself. As an apprentice, my mentor would attack with claws unsheathed and teeth bared. It took a terrible blow that he dealt to me to get him to see. I never had a great kithood. Nor apprenticeship. But I had the best mate a cat could ask for.. She sighed as memories hit her, from when she met the Tom, to when she became mates with him, to the time before he disappeared. Me and him have such a closed bond. From the day I met him, I felt free and safe. I have never felt comfortable in camp, not even with the clan to help defend me.. Silentraven admitted, nervous that Moonseer would chase her out of the clan for saying such thing. I miss the feel of his fur.. The comforting scent of his fur as he padded alongside me. He was always there when I needed him. Now he’s gone and it’s like I can’t breathe… She paused, letting Moonseer take in what she had already said. |

Moonseer They/Them | ShC Warrior | Moons: 20 | Purrks: none Moonseer listened quietly as Silentraven began to speak of her mate. Her voice changed as easily as the topics she spoke about. Moonseer felt sorrowful that this molly had to go through such life only to have the light she recieved from her mate taken away as well. After she was finished speaking, Moonseer took their time to think on how to respond before leaning forward ever so slightly and reaching out one of their big paws out slowly, not wanting to spook the still fragile warrior. "He sounds like a wonderful cat. More than many usually are. Moonseer spoke lightly, their paw still out just in case Silentraven wanted to take it. "Take your time, remember though, that isolating yourself with your grief will only add to your misery in the long run." Moonseer smiled slightly, as they continued, "I have not lost a mate, for I haven't had any yet. Though I have lost my mother. She was a brilliant cat who loved her clan and family more than the plants love the rain and sun. Though one day when I was still young, her light went out." Though their voice grew more rough as tears tightened her throat, Moonseer continued to speak, "She was not lost tragically, she lived a happy, full life. But I wasn't ready to let her go. It took me a long time to realize that the only thing I could do was to take the light she gave me and shine it onto others." Moonseer hummed a light tune, "The difference is that you can still hold onto hope. Your love can still be out there. But in the mean time you must protect your light for his return." |

A warm glow flickered in her eyes and a purr rumbled in her throat. Thank you.. I might be able to make it. And it’ll be for Hootflicker. A mischievous grin crossed her face as she playfully pounced at Moonseer. She chomped on their ear, not leaping off until she was forced off. |

Moonseer huffed and gently batted the small molly off of her with an equally playful grin on their face, though it ended with a small wince, and the dark feline was harshly reminded on why they had come to the warrior's den in the first place. "While, I am happy that you are feeling better, perhaps play can be saved for another day. My head and eyes aren't doing their best right now." The dark feline stood up a bit and purred, "If you ever want company or someone to talk to, feel welcome to find me." Moonseer felt bad that they were shutting down Silentraven after she started to seem better but they really couldn't move around and play rough while their head was splitting at the seams like this. They were more than happy to play as soon as the aching went away. The cat also made a note to keep up with Silentraven and see how she was doing, though they hoped that Silentraven felt welcomed to come to them whenever they needed company. It would also do the molly well to find some more support from her other clan mates but that wasn't up to Moonseer. Moonseer settled into their nest nearby, "You are welcome to keep chatting if you would like." |

It would be their first time visiting since Mossfreckle had been made a medicine cat apprentice, it would be interesting to see how the little cat was settling into their new job. Hopefully well, Moonseer thought as they let themselves fall into a light sleep. |

Willowpaw | ShadowClan Apprentice | 6 Moons | She/Her, Female | | Kitty soft paws [inactive] | (I'm mentioning 'em in the warriors den!) She smiled meekly back at Turtlepaw, slowly getting up from her sitting position and stretching her sore muscles. She realized with a stab of guilt that she hadn't done a single apprentice duty, like refreshing the bedding of the elders' nests and stuff like that. She settled on that she'd do it when she came back from their training. She quietly padded out of the Apprentices' den, and went over to the Warriors den, but when she came close enough to barely see inside, she shrank back, hopefully letting Turtlepaw take the lead. "S-So, uhm, w-who is yo-your mentor, e-exactly?" She whispered, ear twitching nervously and tail to the ground. [ @Shellwhisker - shadow and alder ] [ @FruitBatz - turtle ] |

My apologies!” Turtlepaw said with a soft tone as she looked at the Den. “Miss Alderblossom?” Turtlepaw kept her soft tone but it was at least loud enough to wake her up if she was sleeping or in there to begin with. @Shellwhisker |

Sootspirit's black fur raised slightly as the apprentice talked back. She looked to Brairsplash with a look of indignation. The warrior calmed herself though, she had to admit she would have reacted that way not so long ago as an apprentice herself. But she was a warrior now and she did her chores as an apprentice. She turned to Briarsplash first, although she didn't know this warrior well she had always respected her. The small warrior related to her fierceness and her harshness as well. "Not to sound like an elder, but I feel like apprentices these day have no respect. We did our time doing these chores." She scuffed. Her eyes narrowed at the apprentice, he certainly was strange looking but who was she to judge on appearance. Her yellow eyes narrowed. "What is your name again?" She asked him coldly. |
Re: ShadowClan Warriors' Den
Briarsplash snorted, glancing between Sootspirit and the apprentice. "Who put thorns in your nest, kid? You're clearly the one here sent to clean it up. Whether it's a punishment or a training exercise from your mentor doesn't matter to me — it's your job for the day, so do it." She could view the visible tension in the apprentice, as much as he seemed to be biting his tongue. The warrior narrowed her eyes at him, expecting a full challenge to her rebuttal. She'd had to do just as grueling of things as an apprentice with no mercy or sympathies — so he should experience the same. She was glad Sootspirit shared in her indignation — a kindred spirit. That was no way for an apprentice to talk to a warrior, regardless of age. She wanted to hear his name, too. / @Estelle @Maybi [i accidentally replied to this without seeing Soot's response so i just edited it, my bad!] |

Re: ShadowClan Warriors' Den
Briarsplash nodded a wordless goodbye to Sootspirit. When she turned back to Smolderingpaw she rolled her eyes, obnoxiously indifferent to the apprentice's tone. "Yeah, well, one day you'll learn some respect, kid. And that includes your attitude!" She called after him as he left. Of course she was egging him on, but still, it was something she had to learn when she was younger. It was the rite of every apprentice. It was coldly satisfactory in a way, to finally be the warrior barking the orders this time. Once he was gone, she let out an indignant huff of air and settled back onto her nest for more sleep. / @Maybi @Estelle |
