and at last, SnakeStone finally spoke, his deep voice showing a curious type tone.

"Before we play young kit, I would like to know your name."

@FireyZack
Juniperpaw was pacing in the moss-covered clearing of Shadowclan. She had just become an apprentice and was so excited! She was waiting for Tigerfang still. They hadn't gone out to see the territory yesterday, or the sunrise before. She snorted, Tigerfang better hurry up, or I will have a self-guided tour!

(Really? I though I had you!)
Tigerpaw was frustrated that her favorite move hadn't worked. She scrambled to her paws and lunged, to to catch Shadepaw off-guard.

(Yeah it was while Shadowclan was fighting Windclan, Shadepaw tried to jump back but wasn't quick enough and got thrown to the ground then the cat he was fighting did the same thing Tigerpaw did (you know the one where she stands on her hind legs) which is how shadepaw learned how to somewhat counter that move. Also how many moons is Tigerpaw)

Well that was surprising, not knowing what he should do Shadepaw decided to stay where he was and let Tigerpaw tackle him to the ground then once she had successfully done so Shadepaw put his back legs to her stomach and pushed with all his strength in order to throw her off of him.

Oh, no, thought Honeykit. The last time she had needed to tell a cat her name, there had been a leaf smeared in honey nearby. Now there was no such thing. Honeykit brought her paw up to her throat and shook her head. I can’t speak, she tried to communicate.

Tigerpaw brought her forepaws onto Shadepaw's shoulders, bringing him down, pressed him down tightly.

Silentpaw purred roughly. Hunting with Quailpaw sounded great! Maybe she could show him all she learned, which wasn't much. But she had done okay during Finchwhisker's hunting event, so maybe she wouldn't make such an embarrassment of herself. "Would like that lots!" Kicking Frogpaw's tail sounded like a good way to spend an afternoon.

When Quailpaw asked his next question, Silenpaw answered, "About half moon." Was he asking about the battle at the last gathering? She hadn't been an apprentice then. "Wasn't at the gathering. Not old enough then." She was sort of glad she wasn't there. It sounded scary! Battling sounded scary as a whole. Silentpaw would be perfectly happy to stick to hunting, but she knew she had to be in a battle sometime.

Quailpaw laughed, growing a little more easygoing with every minute spent with Silentpaw. But it was a sad sort of laugh.

It had been scary.

"You should probably be glad you weren't there. Many cats died," he said in his usual brusque way. "Not that- I'm sure- you would have been brave enough, but... battles are a lot more intense than they're chalked up to be. It's not all heroics and valor." Wow, that was a long sentence, his inner cynic noted. Quailpaw do social interaction now?

Flicking one ear in annoyance, he cleared his throat, though it never helped with the gravelliness. "So, what's your favorite part of training so far?" Unoriginal, but a surefire conversation ball-roller. He realized he'd been standing around awkwardly for too long, so he padded over to the fresh-kill pile and selected a vole, settling down next to Silentpaw as he removed the fleshy tail.

Well this was a bad situation, in a last ditch effort the young apprentice decided to take a page out of Tigerpaw's book by making his body go limp. Shadepaw didn't exactly know how the move worked, but it wouldn't hurt to put his own not so little twist on it right?
