Re: Elkswood High
Jace remained silent, not even moving. He wasn't paying attention to the speech, so he wasn't aware of what Ms. Greinter had even told them to do. The sophomore sighed, looking out the window solemnly. She seemed to be talking for ages.
-- Mr. Stanford left his office, fairly certain all of the students and staff were in the auditorium. He went into the chemistry lab that Alex and Jace were just in, sifting through the papers and the computer for useful information. The vice principal had seen the two entering the classroom, so something had to have been going on. That wasn't Harry's last encounter with the two and he was going to make sure of it. |

Alex couldn't exactly speak to those around him but he would be willing to just listen to them if they decided he was a good target to introduce themselves to. He looked at those sitting around him and suddenly just wished he had moved next to Jace, even if the other was irritated and didn't talk to him it'd make Alex feel better just being next to his roommate. Most students seemed to already be next to someone they had met earlier or liked so they made easy conversation, and this just made Alex a bit nervous. He hoped it wouldn't be like in past schools where the teacher would go with whatever student left without a partner. |

Anna frowned, seeing they weren't following he instructions, "come on, everyone. It's not that hard. Turn somewhere and say hi." She frowned, no one was interested in her little get-to-know-you games. She slipped right to the end of her speech, drawing in a breath before she spoke. "Okay. I know you may think this is boring, but we're all here to help you. Did anyone have any questions? please, ask away."

Copper rolled her eyes. Obviously, no new student who supposedly got in major trouble was going to mingle. She swept her gold gaze over the crowd. The blonde sighed and lied back. She adjusted her earbuds and hummed slightly to the music. Copper tuned everything out and closed her eyes. This was not going to be very interesting. @Beam

Jaiden Kelley had sat down next to a boy she saw while entering the school. From what she gathered...he didn't talk much if at all. But, upon hearing the principal's words, and not seeing her roommate, she decided to say something. Placing her map and a pen on her lap, she turned to him. "Hi, I am Jaiden." Ms. Gonzalez made her way between the rows of students, glaring at some that seemed to be goofing off. The shorter than average woman turned and continued walking around, watching the new arrivals. Some seemed actually interested, perhaps those ones weren't the really bad ones. She couldn't tell yet. |

Alex sort of just looked at the girl. He had gone off in his own head when no one made an attempt to speak with him, so he had jumped at hearing her voice and was honestly shocked she had spoken to him since there were others around. He obviously couldn't just say his name to the other, but he also had nothing to write with. He sat for a little but finally decided to risk something. He slowly spelled out 'Alex' in sign language. He knew some people would say 'I know sign language!' but only know the alphabet or bad words, and most others just didn't know any sign language. He hoped this girl at least would know the alphabet. |
