Ah, good. The disgrace had good reflexes. But did he have the ability to outsmart a seasoned warrior who trained himself to fight without one leg? Mapleflame smirked and launched himself at Disgracepaw again, swiping at his face with sheathed claws before veering off and spinning to the side, using his tail to keep balance as he twirled on one paw. The warrior dashed and aimed to rake his paw down his apprentice's side before jumping back and crouching down, watching his reaction.

Her features lighten a bit as if she had finally came to a decision and she took a small breath as she straightened her posture, the cream and spotted grey shecat was quite tall and slim in all honesty but not enough to be extremely noticeable.BumbleFrost looked up towards the sky seeing that it had been a while now since she had told AsterPaw to meet her at the training island once he had done his apprentice duties, she wasn't too fussed as of right now since the molly understood it was going to take some time for the young tom to get used to being somewhat busy for the clan but doing nothing was starting to get to the shecat and her tail started twitching, she had workaholic tendencies and doing nothing but sit there wasting time really made the shecat feel on edge, she originally started pushing herself to be busy when she was in her very young warrior moons to distract herself from the unpleasant things that had happened during that time and now she did it out of habit…she had no idea when this habit became a serious issue but she was starting to see why HoneyDrizzle had been urging her to take more breaks and just relax."hnnnnnmmm...okay Bumble just relax and breathe...".she murmured this to herself as she inhaled and exhaled deeply as she continued to patiently wait for AsterPaw.

Asterpaw skidded out of the forests, squeaking as he saw the water around the training island. He gritted his teeth his brain screaming at him !YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO SWIM MOUSEBRAIN! But he squeezed his eyes shut and leaped forewards, to find that the water wasn't higher then his paws.

He padded forewards, and the water got slightly deeper, but nothing he couldnt wade through.

Asterpaw made it to the island and shook the water from his pelt, before spotting his mentor. He grinned, raising his head high and trotting over.

"So, Bumblefrost! What are we gonna start with? Water Battle Training? Mud wrestling?" These things were all expert apprentice topics, but he could take them. He knew he could.

Pebblepaw bounced back and forth on his paws, giving a rapid nod to Firehawk. "I'm ready when you are!" It was a playful retort. Even after the patrols and former sessions, Pebblepaw just couldn't seem to get the importance of this training through that thick skull of his. Still, Pebblepaw readied a sloppy stance, eyes focused on Firehawk.

BumbleFrost ears twitched at the sound of her name, the slim Molly casted her blue gaze onto her apprentice, giving a small tiny smile in greeting as she rose to her paws. Although she raised a brow at the mention of a few battle training techniques that the young tom definitely wasn't ready for, it was only his first training session after all."No AsterPaw we will not be starting with those battle tactics...you are not yet experienced enough to do so but I'm glad to see you're enthusiastic about this..it's a quality I like to see in cats". She gave the small praise as she stretched her limbs preparing herself as she straighted her posture. BumbleFrost hummed slightly as she sized up AsterPaw. She backed up slightly to allow some room for the Tom, her tone was cool and in control."I would advise you stretched before we start, It helps remove any type of stiffness that may interfere during this". Saying this she allowed him to get up, she knew it was a bit unfair but its best for them to learn through the element of surprise so that they will be prepared for when the time comes they will fight."Distractions will be your downfall if you aren't careful so my advice is always focus on your opponent.. but you can also use distractions to your advantage, if your opponent isn't focused on you their attacks and reflexes will be weaker and disoriented". Goldencloud led the apprentice to the island, looking back at her and slowing to a stop. He had no idea what her training had been with her previous mentor, but he couldn't imagine it was extensive with how uncomfortable hunting had made her.

"Shimmeringpaw, why don't you tell me and show me what you do know so far and we can work from there!" He said, tone chipper. He was excited to see what she had in her for a fighting spirit.

"Well...I'm good with stealth and moving fast to surprise opponents." Shimmeringpaw meowed while she moved into a crouch position where she can easily lunge/spring in any which directions she wanted. Without warning, she launched herself at Goldencloud, stopping a few mouse tail lengths and her right paw swiping at his face. But fast as she was with lunging the molly withdrew her paw and moved where she could tumble to the left and spring back to her paws. A large smile came over her face as the dust settled around them.

He turned his head as she told him to look at the water training. That was awesome! His ears perked, jaws agape in wonder. "Water trai- WOAH!" When the warrior tackled him he yelped. "Hey! Don't do that! That's not fair!" He growled at his mentor. He listened to her, face scrunched in anger. How could she do that? He wasn't ready. It wasn't fair! He thought.

He got up as quickly as she let him go, and stood on his paws, following her with his eyes. He wouldn't lose sight of her. Though his other senses weres focused. He put all of his energy into following her with his eyes.

Goldencloud frowned as she barreled forward and swatted at her swiping paw as she withdrew it. He had half an amused smile, but his eyes were more serious.

"Most certainly quick but attacking with a paw to the face isn't always the best move. I can most easily react to that. Perhaps you should at least feign away to hope to cat h me off guard." He said with a shrug then dropped into his own battle stance, loose and balanced. "Let's have a little spar. Try attacking and I'll attack back, remember to watch my eyes and muscle movement for hints."

The golden warrior felt the apprentice hop and land atop him, he blinked- a litle dazed. Surely he couldn't have been caught so off guard that she'd managed to leap that far. He quickly rolled, easily swinging out from under her with his much more developed muscles and training. The silver molly wobbled off of her mentor's back and gave a small smile to him. She was quite pleased and surprised with herself when she managed to leap upon his back but that was short-lived when he swiped at her. All of a sudden her instincts kicked in and Shimmeringpaw jumped back and took a swipe at Goldencloud. Seeing that he continued to advance the apprentice took a deep breath of courage and rose on her two hind legs and aimed at his forearms, head, or chest.

Goldencloud was surprised to see her jump back so readily and make another move. Her rolled as quickly as he could, just in time for her blow to land. He grabbed onto her shoulder with soft paws and playfully nipped at the front legs that tried to pin him down. Her rolled, pushing the both of them toppling in the damp snow, then pushed off of the apprentice and stood. He gave his tabby pelt a quick shake and looked over to her.

"Well done, that's a much stronger attitude than when we went hunting." He said with a wink of his golden eye and a teasing flick of his tail. "Now I want to show you a move though. It's a little more tricky! This move is best for pinning a cat. First you'll come towards me, feign quickly to one side but rather than do that go to the other side. Grab the shoulder high and push your opponent over. Like this."

Goldencloud then dashed at a nearby large rock, weighing to the right but using his back paws to quickly push his weight to the left instead. Then he bunched strong back legs and pushed into the rock high, pushing it over and pretending to hold it in place with his paws. Then he took a few steps back and looked expectantly at Shimmeringpaw.

Firehawk hoped Pebblepaw would be able to do some of these! Having so much rolls might make it harder for him to roll..

Maybe they would need to work on timed meals..

"Alright, we'll try something pretty basic. It's not really a move, it's more of a small technique to make it harder for you to get grabbed. You just tuck your tail in."

To demonstrate, he brought his tail down close to his body-- arching it slightly to hide the tip near his stomach.

The two tussled for a little before her world tilted to one side and the cold invaded her warmth. The molly went down with a 'oof' and a weight came upon her for only a heartbeat before her mentor leaped off. "Well, I have more experience in this." A small grin mirrired the golden tom in front of her. Getting up and shaking the clinging snow off of her feathery pelt before her attention returned to Goldencloud.

The she-cat gave a small gulp, he wants me to try and do that? Shimmeringpaw nodded and took a few deep breaths to focus and tried to gather her courage.Does he want me to go after the rock or him? Deciding she took a running star and tried to copy what the warrior did. Her paws headed towards right but her legs to the left. Quickly switching directions the apprentice feigned to the left. Being to focused on her speed the molly didn't notice her agility and how her hind-paws were too slow and were tangled up. Tumbling over her own paws Shimmeringpaw scrambled up, ears heated with embarrassment. Just wanting to get it over she rose her paws high on the rock and pushed it back over to it's original spot.

"Certainly getting there!" Goldencloud mewed happily, trotting over to the smaller cat. He couldn't expect her to be able to push over the rock as easily as he, she was still training. "That's good for today. I think you should be good for fighting for the time being, tomorrow and the following days I want to focus on hunting to we can hone that skill. There are many prey you need to learn to catch besides those that scuttle on the forest floor."

It was lucky that the river current was strong and the warm weather of the past few days had melted some of the edges. Hopefully it would be warm enough to entice some fish near the edge. No cat was truly a Riverclan warrior without learning to fish!

Once he heard battle training he dashed over to the island only to stand tall once he made it to the middle. Tail twitching with excitement he waited for Fallenstorm.

Once he heard battle training he dashed over to the island only to stand tall once he made it to the middle. Tail twitching with excitement he waited for Fallenstorm.
"Wait for meeee!" She yowled as she ran to the island, slipping on the ice and landing on her face. I really hope he didn't see that... She thought to herself as she got off the ice, and into the middle of the training island.
"Alright, so today we are learning about..... Sneak attacks!"
She didn't even give him a chance to attack as she aimed for a blow to the back.

He couldn't help but giggle at the wait part. Glancing around the island just as fallen had slipped only for him to return his gaze at the sneak attack part. oh cool! "ok so how do....ah!" felt the blow to his back which caused him to stumble a bit and almost loose his balance . He sighed oh.....

"I got ya!" She yowled in delight, a goofy grin on your face.
"Step one for defending against sneak attacks, don't get distracted and pay close attention! If you don't you might lose your balance, and in turn the fight! Say, those are some interesting moves they're doing over there!"

He was so tempted look over but he remembered what she said. The urge was nagging at him more and more....don't ..look.. but he couldn't help it. It sounded genuine coming from her so he turned to look "wait...there's no-"

He landed on her back, and got sand in her mouth as she fell.
"Bleh, san don. Pft taste good." She regained her composure.
"Okay, I'll admit that was pretty good." She meowed in an exasperated tone.

He grinned as he hopped off "warriors always tend to fall for that trick. But it can't be used too often though... " he meowed with pride. Then his face was one of instant shock then contorted to pain "oh I need to make dirt...bad...I think one of those fish didn't settle well with me.." he grunted .

Yuck! Snow didn't taste so good....and it was cold! Standing up he shook himself clean from the remaining bits of snow and huffed at fallenstorm. "how did you know?" he grumbled .

"You see, you have to roll in the mud first so the snow, grass, or whatever you're trying to hide in sticks to you! That way you can have a better disguise and a element of surprise!" She meowed to Sootpaw

eh I don't mind with that he copied his mentors movements "as long as we're not flinging actual dirt like Dirtfur had wormpaw do...I'm fine..I rather be caught playing in a flower bed.." he meowed as he stood back up. " also wouldn't we just be able to bury ourselves underneath the snow if it was high enough?" he asked.
