Looking around, she tried to catch sight of her patrolmates (Sparrowpelt was nowhere to be found). ´´Smokefang? Smokefang, the double faced He/him Thunderclan Warrior So he was going to the ThunderGlade... Very well... He was fine with that! Smokefang popped his neck, rolled his shoulders, ans stood up, ready to go, but just as he started looking around for his patrolmates... Hollybristle called out. He pinpointed her location in the crowd, and padded over, silently, feigning calm because it was him who was supposed to be the patrol leader and command the others... "I'm ready to go..." He said silently. But he wasn't about to make a fuss over it, as Spiderthroat was right there. So he would let that slide... Even if it left a bitter taste of discontent in his mouth... He just had to play pretend, like he did for so long... But still, it slightly annoyed him, a slight flick of the ear betraying that... Sparrowpelt came late. Late, but he was there. His heavy paw steps were noticeable from a distance as he made his way from the nursery. The kits were his priority lately, he hardly made the time for normal warrior routines. So, when Spiderthroat called the first time, naturally the tom zoned it out. The second time, however, made him move.

He didn't mind border patrols much, as long as there was no fighting. He still got to hunt, and he tended to mark the border just fine while he was at it. No. It was the size of the patrol and the fact that he was leading it what coaxed his inner discomfort. Leading meant talking. No thanks. Pass. Blank emerald expression turning to face the gathered cats, he payed attention for once to the names given him. Nightgaze, Milkbee, and Snowpaw. Yep. He wouldn't be remembering those. Not to mention he had no idea who any of them were. Maybe he really should consider talking to his clanmates a little more often, if only to know who the hell he was being assigned to patrols with all the time, because ThunderClan obviously had infinite cats. Not once had he repeated a patrol with the same felines. A pity. He thought him and Sentinel had gotten along splendidly. They still didn't talk sometimes. Couldn't ask for a better clanmate. "Departing," the chocolate point stated matter-of-factly. Sprucejumper had one too many patrols in which he'd had to leave all by his lonesome before. Considering all the cats he had been assigned were here - well, all but Snowpaw - he doubted that would be the case this time around, but they had to make it to the border. That was far. He would like to not take all day, if that was all the same to them. The outing portion of the patrol? Fantastic? The being stuck with three other cats he didn't know? Just as the tom was going to call for Snowpaw he felt a ball of fur brush against his front legs before feeling something wrap around his neck, he hadn't even heard the booming call of his name, he was so wrapped up in Sparrowpelt showin up a little late (he'd cut the tom slack, guy just had kits and even though he's not a father he sure does know what that's like now.) But his apprentice was still missing. Hopefully the patrol would go on without her...he'd have to take her to the territories himself. Looking down with a start, he noticed his daughter. Taking a moment to figure out what exactly she was doing. It felt familiar, and he would be lying if he said it didn't feel like he was hugging Asterdance. But Asterdance wasn't here, the fur was wrong and the brat was shorter than they were when they were an apprentice. Thoughtlessly he moved to pat his paw to her back, if she hadn't squirmed away she'd get gentle back pats. "I'm in charge of the Sick camp kid. Can't be here and there at the same time. Ain't how that works." he stated, shifting his weight as she clambered over top of him. Not truly noticing that she was now draped across his back. "Mantiskit an Mitekit didn't get to be apprentices either...since they're sick." he paused, shotting her a narrow eyed look. "But they didn't get a choice in whether or not they got to become Apprentices...you did. An you botched it by goin to the Gatherin. You an' Cricketkit." he stated plainly. After a moment he let out a sigh. Once he found Snowpaw...she'd be in for a heap of trouble. |

Upon finally being prompted, Splashdawn stands up, looking around for another cat who they were unfamiliar with. "Darkholly," they whisper under their breath. ... They always can't help but find themselves in the WORST social situations; usually because they're bumping into people, or tripping over rocks. So much for being a brave warrior. "Got it. We should be fine," they mew in response, nodding. The feline walks ahead, ready to lead the way before promptly remembering that leading the way means they'd have to lead the way. Not that he had any particularly strong emotions running through him right now aside of disdain over the fact that he was trapped in this cat filled prison until he was inevitably sent back out again. With how many sick cats there seemed to be in the quarantined zone, it was really only a matter of time. Hopefully next time he wouldn't be leading, too. The outings he didn't mind. Cherished, even. Yes, it was time spent with three cats - well, two in this case - too many, but if he had to choose between a few cats and the whole damn clan... well, the choice was fairly simple to make. It was really the leading aspect he disliked. Namely the having to talk to anyone part of it. He knew that there had to be cats with some degree of power hunger in them. Craving for the ability to kill their own clanmates on a whim much like Angry was fond of. But really... the thought of having to stand in front of others? And give speeches? And listen to stupid, star worshiping complaints and be expected to care? Well... maybe care was a strong word. Angry certainly didn't. But expected to act like he cared was still one expectation too many. He was much happier being unseen enough that he was expected to provide for the clan - an understandable expectation considering he lived here - but not take further responsibility than that, thank you very much. Maybe the frozen frog the bug butt had brought along with her would make Pokey deem him unfit to lead more patrols though and that would be the end of that. Wouldn't that be something? Dropping the five mice he had caught at the border at Pokey's paws, he stared blankly at the tom before turning his gaze towards his two companions, if only to ensure they had all come back fine. True. Nothing happened at the border. But with the apprentice not showing up already, he would prefer to at the very least ensure the warriors that did leave with him didn't get into trouble for accidentally lagging. He might not care much overall, but he wasn't a monster. They had done their patrol, no need to have them skinned for a lapse only the apprentice had committed. Content with what he saw, Sprucejumper turned his attention back on Spiderthroat, emerald hues emotionless as he reported. "Tranquil," he stated, describing the state of the border. Nightgaze Thunderclan Hornet Purrk: Ultimate predator(inactive) Nightgaze joyfully skipped after her patrolmates, stopping every now again to make sure the frozen meal she'd found was secure. As they arrived at the undercrag, she happily tossed the frosty amphibian at Spiderthroat's feet, a rather peculiar add on to Sprucejumper's mice. "Mhmm, mhmm! No problems! Found dis, think we could eat it?" the hornet hummed enthusiastically, bright gaze still glued to her iced over frog. Even if it was just some strange frozen snack she'd grown somewhat attached to it...but it would be weird to carry a frozen frog with her everywhere. @Starfall @Alchemist Kitsuns @Starphobia |

Spiderlingkit still apparently sitting and contemplating what it is he said to her, so it wasn't her. A moment too late he'd looked up to see a ball of fur whizzing past and smacking straight inbetween his front legs, landing square in his gut. Fireflypaw got a good 'umph' out of him as he leaned fowards, paw hovering just behind the back of the apprentice as he attempted to take in the air he'd just gotten forcefully pushed out. Like a whoopie cushion but without the farting sound. "Hi brat." he sighed, tone had a hint of a tilt to it. Twinging as she yelled in excitement, although in him attempting to recover his hearing, he'd managed to catch just the tail end of what it was that was said. Leaning closer towards his kit, his brows quirked, attempting to figure out what exactly was said. "What now? Two of you as apprentices? Geeze." he heaved a sigh. Oh. Bumblestar had fun with that one didn't she? "Well. Here as soon as your siblings get better they'll be apprentices with you too...as will Spiderling and Cricket. At some point." |
