A lean, gray she-cat with piercing yellow eyes awoke from a short nap in the sun, right in front of the warriors den. Yes, outside of it. Ripplestripe the old warrior despised being in the small, rickety den. Sunshine warmed her skin even before she opened her eyes. She opened them, but they quickly closed again because of the big bright sun. Finally, she used her front legs to push herself up, and stretched, acknowledging the beautiful day. She looked around, searching for someone to talk to on this clear day.

Deerspots the now older she cat was laying down in a patch of sun her ears flicking every now and then looking calm and content she was curled up in a ball with her head on her paws a lazy smile could be seen. This is one of those times she didn't mind doing nothing at all besides she already got her work done for the day her unique colored eyes scanned the area she spotted Ripplestripe someone she hasn't seen a while making her perk her head up her eyes seemed to be beckoning her silently to sit by her . She did want to talk to Ripplestripe anyways .

She made herself comfortable and nestled into a little spot in the grass next to Deerspots.

The she cat giggled softly once she heard her exclaim " it has been a long time hasn't it? I've been well . I've found a significant other " she meowed with a smile as her eyes followed Ripplestripe who was now sitting down beside her then laughed a bit " how have you been? Any interesting tales? Also you go ahead take as much as you want I'll have the rest I'm not that hungry any ways . " she meowed she truly wasn't that hungry she did eat a hour ago, just a bit as in she's hungry enough for a snack . She flicked her tail now looking out into the clearing " so much time has passed ...I taken this gathering has went well. Yes? " she asked as she looked back twitching her whiskers as she did . She didn't go to the gathering since she didn't want to see the horrible things that may have happened there .

Deerspots kept her attention on ripplestripe as she was talking another smile finding it way to her " that's good! But don't you get cold outside when you do? Some nights it's awfully chilly . " she meowed then her ears folded back " then I won't get to see you in the warriors den when it's day...when I'm way older I don't want to be cooped up in there all the time! " she meowed now placing her head back on her paws with a relaxed yawn " yeah I bet they would. Have you ever had a weird dream? Not starclan related tho " she asked with an raised eyebrow .

Then why’d you go and do it?” He grouches at her, his maw twisted in a sneer of annoyance. “I have half as many eyes as you do and I still have the sense to look where I’m going. What’s your excuse?” He challenged. Even as he said it he felt a pang of guilt at the expression on her face. And from the way she wobbled when she moved he could tell there was something wrong with hurt leg. That’s when it dawned on him: she was visiting the den for medical help. Shinefang heaved a heavy sigh. “I’m sorry, Kit. I didn’t mean that. How about you come inside so I can have a look at that leg?” He meowed, softening his voice for her.

Shinefang flicked a shredded ear as he sniffed at the younger cat. Sure enough, she had a burnt odor to her mixed with a fading scent beneath the Skyclan smell. "Where did you live before?" he asked bluntly. The old tom was well aware that in this day and age, Skyclan was steadily growing and rogues and kittypets joined every now and again. He was fine with that. But he still held what he considered to be a healthy suspicion of newcomers. Skyclan may be open to most cats but as far as he was concerned asking a stranger to prove his loyalty wasn't too much to ask. "And what brought you here?"

"Lived in the old barn near a corn field. Had some nice thrush come in and build nests in the rafters in the spring," she said, "My mother, Sally, my father, Genie, my littermates, Charlii and Asriel, and my younger sister, Azlyn."
