Snowberry shrugged placidly. “Would you like to reinforce the elders’ den? Care for the kits without mothers? Oh, I bet you’d be a great mother to them.” She laughed softly, beginning to relax.

Goldenclaw snorted. "Me? Do that? No thank you. You'd be nmore fit with them. After all, don't elders always lay about and talk about pretty, nice things?" He said, shaking his head. "Honestly!"

“You were the one who wanted to fight.” Snowberry reminded him. “Do you want to do it or not?”

"Obviously! But you're the one rambling about nonsense!" Goldenclaw growled, walking faster. "Let's go! I don't have all day!"

Snowberry laughed softly. “Are you upset?” She teased, matching his pace, unusually comfortable around the golden tom. “Aww, did little old me annoy you?” She asked, narrowing her eyes with a smile.

Goldenclaw hissed but didn’t answer, opting to ignore her until they got to the training area. For now, though, his fur bristled, and his eyes were narrowed. Who did this cat think she was?! Why was she acting like she was a friend?! Hah! He didn't need one right now! All he needed was to make sure ShadowClan survived and make it the respected Clan it once was. He didn't need this!

Snowberry pranced around Goldenclaw. “So- are we thinking claws and teeth, or are you a scared kit?” She challenged, letting her thick white tail trail along the tom’s flank.

Goldenclaw gave her a look that said 'are you serious?' and shook his head. "Of course we're using our claws and teeth! We'd get punished by Dawnstar if we didn't!" He wasn't really worried about that, but it could ruin his chances of becoming future leader of ShadowClan! That wasn't what he wanted at all.

“Just making sure you weren’t going to chicken out.” Snowberry said, leaping at the larger tom, claws outstretched, and bowling him over, much stronger than she seemed at first glance. She leaned down, nipping his neck. She didn’t want to do serious damage, after all.
