The young apprentice followed, flicking his tail back and fourth. He made no sound beneath his paws as he stepped. As he came to a quick stop, he swiped his paw over his head to get a leaf off of his head that had drifted down from a tree, soon following his mentor yet again. The whole way there, he had not said a single word.

There was nothing to say so she went to do her part and collect these herbs they got sent to look for. Wasting no time she grabbed a nearby stick and stuck to crevices and dark spots, places spiders would chill in. It didn't take her long to find some cobwebs amongst some odd rocks and grass. She used the stick to gently collect the cobwebs and moved on a bit more before finding a few more and collecting them too. Satisfied with her haul she carried the stick with her to stand beside mistheart.

With a quick flick of her tail, Mistheart led her patrol back to camp to report in.

He peered out at the open meadow, paws rooted to the ground. His eyes were wide, nervous -- his urges were telling him to go back, away from the pond, not toward it.

To Wildtwist, Wolfpaw's voice was low, quiet. "How do you.. not be afraid?" Being poisoned, nearly dying to an enemy that didn't fight fair.. just being near a border made him fearful.

Bumblestar stretched as she stepped out into the clearing. There had been minimal trouble from RiverClan in this area lately, and with the illness having died out for the most part, she was fairly certain what poison had been laid out was gone - at least for the time being. And she wasn't keen on not putting a piece of territory to use.

"Right then, Asterpaw." She turned her attention to her apprentice. "I'm goin' over some battle basics today. Gotta know how and when to defend yourself whenever you get caught in a fight. Think you're up for this?"

Battle training... he'd sorta been dreading this, to be honest, unsure is he'd be any good at it considering the only thing he'd fought before was a skunk... and he'd lost that fight, ending up smelly for most of his journey to find ThunderClan. But he couldn't stay here if he didn't learn to fight, and he really wanted to impress Bumblestar, to she her she was right in taking him on as her apprentice.

"Yes, I'm ready," he says with a determined nod, trying to keep the fire that was starting to grow in his gut to a reasonable level. If he was too excited he might not pay enough attention or take too many risks or something like that. He could be normal about this. Totally normal. A reasonable level of excited for sure. Definitely.
