Pippa fell to the ground with a thud. She looked up, her cheek pressing against the ground, before scrambling to her paws and shaking out her soft, fluffy pelt. Her heart was beating hard. A slight feeling of fear rose up within her, but it was quickly replaced with excitement. Hope, Bush, and Tigerpaw had been fighting back, to try and make sure that she and Shimmer weren't taken. Quickly, she glanced over her shoulder at the gray-and-orange tabby. Her friend wasn't hurt. Of course, she wasn't! Pippa and Shimmer were really strong, and these shadow-cats wouldn't change that! Holding her head high, she looked around the clearing, her eyes wide. She hadn't seen this many cats before, even in her little town! Or Twolegplace, because that's what the big wild cats would call it.

She looked up at the slim brown tom, who she still didn't know the name of. Pippa really didn't like being grabbed by the scruff; she sat down and rubbed it with one paw. "Owie!" she complained. "Don't pick me up! I can walk." Pippa eyed the cat - older than a kit but not fully grown - and added, "Whoa, but this is like, so cool! So many cats! I'd love to live here!" And she meant it! Sure, she didn't like being dragged, and everyone had seemed really stressed. Especially the hope-cat and the bush. They'd fought with actual claws! Pippa wanted to do that.

"Where's Dawnstar?" Pippa asked. That was a cool name. It made her think of the sun coming up, hence the name dawn, but then there were still some stars that hadn't gone away yet. Just the thought of that sight took her breath away. That sounded really awesome. "And I'm not an intruder! We're not intruders! We just wanna live wild because I don't wanna be stuck as a kittypet. Neither does Shimmer!" She looked sideways at her best friend and mewed quietly, "Don't be scared! This is such an awesome experience!" And, because she couldn't sit still, Pippa got up and began hopping from paw to paw. Her head whipped from side to side as she tried to take it all in. This was so awesome!

Buckpaw looked down at the kits with a huff. “Get used to this place, kits. I’m not actually sure where our leader is.” He looked around and took a few steps towards the leaders den. “Dawnstar?” He called. He turned back to the kits and rolled his eyes. “Well, you trespassed on our territory. That’s what intruders do, is trespass.”

Tigerpaw growled. She had tried to get Buckpaw to let go, but the apprentice was strong. "Can't we just let them go?" She pleaded. "They're just kits and haven't done anything wrong. Buckpaw, you know what Dawnstar will do! She'll slaughter them!" Too late, she realized that perhaps that wasn't the best choice of wording. Pippa seemed so happy to meet Dawnstar. She didn't want to scare the kit.

Tigerpaw smiled at Pippa. "What I meant was that perhaps we can just let them go and Dawnstar doesn't have to know a thing?" She was getting really worried. Sooner or later Dawnstar would come out of whatever hole she was lurking in, and it would all be over. "Please?"

Buckpaw sighed, hating himself for what he was about to say next. “Look, I don’t wanna do this either.” He whispered to Tigerpaw. “But it’s for the best of the clan. Besides, if Dawnstar found out we let two kittypet kits trespassing our territory wander along, she’d kill us!”

Finchpaw padded into the clearing. He was in a rare good mood; he had just finished training with Finchwhisker and was feeling a whole lot better about himself.

I’m starting to feel myself get stronger he thought.

He glance around the clearing looking for someone to join, or bother.

Rookpaw was in a bit of a snappy mood. Not an upset one though, just aggressive. She really wanted to get some training done. Rookpaw was an ambitious cat, always needing to be the best. She was rather talanted though lacked in determination unless competing. Her eyes swirled over and spotted Finchpaw, her.....aquaintance? She wasn't the type to engage in conversation though, unless she was in one of her hyper moods.

Finchpaw’s gaze froze at Rookpaw, the she cat was resting but she seemed on edge.

Finchpaws cruel smile widened. So bothering someone it was.

He trotted over and sat next to her, not bothering to give a hello.

“Today I learned how to do a backflip slash” he stated proudly, raising an eyebrow as to challenge whether she had such a skill.

Welp, looks like he spotted her as well. Rookpaw any other day would go and annoy him, though the way she did it was acting like a kit and getting in people's personal space until they were very annoyed with her. People all over the clan had very different ideas of her personality depending on what mood they met her in. Many thought she was naive and childish since they'd met her in a cuddly, excited mood. Little did they know that was just a way for her to combat boredom.
"Ok.....? Why did you have to tell me that? If you wanna chat with me so badly just say hi, I'm no good at picking up social cues." she mewed. She wasn't ashamed to admit it one bit.

Finchpaw gave her a weird look.

“I did say hello.” He stated point blank. “ My form of saying hello is to remind you that I’m better than you.”

He started licking his paws and dragging it over his face.

“Normally I would expect you to fight me on this and eventually I’d show you my amazing move. Even maybe offer to teach you it, out of the goodness of my heart” Finchpaw declared. “But it seems your quite mellow today.”

His gaze held a glint of concern. “What’s got your pelt in a knot?” He finally asked.

Rookpaw lifted an expressive eyebrow as Finchpaw attempted to show off with a not-so-good boast. Boasting had never been her thing, she'd much rather point out the flaws in other cats.
"So...you're just picking a fight? Yea you learned a move you're an apprentice, that's what you do normally." she said with a deadpan expression.
She was ratehr confused taht he had been able to pick up on that. In fact, she wasn't really in distress, it was just one of her personality swings. Though Rookpaw obviopusly didn't have a multiple personality disorder, her behavior often flip-flopped due to indesiciveness. Sometimes she found Finchpaw's antics amusing and sometimes she wanted to rip his throat out.
"Nothing, I wanna go out and train but my mentor is busy. Why are you here, nothing better to do?" she asked. Rookpaw did not approach people unless she was desperate for fun, which was surprisingly often as she was almost constantly bored.
