Re: SkyClan Clearing
|| @Checkmate || "Or you're simply good at being modest, or too good." Crowfoot didn't know what he'd bagged before he ate the squirrel, but whatever it was, it fed the clan. He wouldn't just take food without catching some first, right? It was a simple one, and one that Crowfoot really had no trouble following. In some ways, he felt as if he hunted more than he ate, which was a much more sustainable system then just eating whenever you had the chance. That would do no good to his physique, anyways... Except in leaf-bare. "And all this 'no perfect' mumbo jumbo... I'm living proof that your claim is false." Everyone had their flaws, true, but it sure was fun to play perfect. "I've always preferred the trees, but whichever works best for you." Crowfoot had to be mindful on this one, given Dancingdawn's larger size. He could show off on both the ground and in the air, anyways. Being a rather bulky cat himself, he'd experienced his own difficulties in tree-hunting, even if his performance was flashy. The piebald tom stifled a chuckle of amusement as the fiery-pelted tom made his retort, and he tilted his head to the side once more. "Think what you want, but every day of mine is perfection. It's how I know that this is going to be a good one, too." |

His friendship with Flickerpaw was a weird one. If you'd call it a friendship, that is. To Flickerpaw, maybe it was. But, no one could pay Timberpaw all the mice in the world for him to say that Flickerpaw was a friend. Most times Timberpaw would avoid Flickerpaw at all costs. Other times, he'd outright be aggressive towards the other tom because Timberpaw was never in a good mood. On the other hand, it was quite useful having such a tom on his side. Even though Flickerpaw usually made his fur stand on end, using the tom was in Timberpaw's favor. He hardly had to threaten Flickerpaw to do something for him. ''If it counts you getting into trouble then sure. Be my guest.'' Timberpaw spluttered. It's not like Flickerpaw's mother would be mad at him, right? Of course not. Although, Timberpaw definitely liked to entertain the idea of Flickerpaw getting into trouble. Timberpaw let out a frustrated growl when Flickerpaw took that as some...humorous insult. It wasn't supposed to be humorous! It should had hurt his feelings and alerted him to leave Timberpaw alone. ''This is going to be a long day...'' Timberpaw muttered under his breath. Timberpaw didn't laugh at Flickerpaw, his expression always stoic and bland like the world owed him a million reasons for his existence. Admittedly, sometimes Flickerpaw could be very entertaining, but Timberpaw usually didn't like to be entertained. He'd laugh at some other cat's failure, or if they hurt themselves, but that's how demented the puffy tom could be. ''Hmm,'' Timberpaw hummed, ''You're right about one thing. Not a thundercloud. Not a raincloud either. I prefer being hail.'' Hail hurt like heck. Especially when it came to the eyes. Timberpaw was not a big fan of rain or hail because of his fur, but he would prefer being hail, only so he could pester other cats greatly. ''But, what does that make you, then? A rainbow on a sky blue day?'' He deadpanned, a narrow of his eyes. Even Flickerpaw's laughter made his ears hurt, like an annoying fly buzzing through it. He let out a frustrated huff, putting a bit of bounce in his step to try and leave Flickerpaw behind. Maybe Flickerpaw wouldn't notice. ''You know,'' Timberpaw started. ''You and I should play a game. You like games, don't you?'' Timberpaw didn't play games. Games were for immature cats who didn't want to grow up. ''We should play hide and seek. I'll hide and you could seek.'' He suggested. If Flickerpaw was smarter than he looked in Timberpaw's eyes, then he'd catch the shady tom's drift. |

When her eyes fell on another apprentice her mind stopped wandering. She studied his movements, tilting her head a bit as he practiced battle moves. *I wish I could be more like him...* she thought solemnly. |

Sunpaw felt the gaze of another cat and turned to see who it was. He didn't the other apprentice at first as he swept his eyes around the clearing, but a second look provided him with the answer to his question. He looked Echopaw over quickly, taking in everything about her. Wasn't she that RiverClan apprentice that had joined recently? He wasn't completely sure--he'd heard rumors, and she was the only cat in camp that he didn't recognize, but he didn't know for sure. He decided to take a break. The orange tabby padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a vole to eat. Settling down at the edge of the clearing in the shade, he took a bite out of the rodent and looked back up at Echopaw. He smirked slightly and winked at her. |
Re: SkyClan Clearing
| @SilverNight | Owlflame had been in deep thought, her marigold eyes staring off into nothingness as she pondered the ongoing events within her life. Nothing in particular was being discussed in her head at that moment, rather a jumble of a dozen thoughts all mashed up into one loud conversation that shifted tone almost every second. Still, she continued thinking quietly to herself. She'd half given up on searching for Dawnfrost, but not because she didn't want to see the pretty she-cat, rather she didn't want to come across as too overbearing in her deep regard for Dawnfrost. Despite her now lack of searching, the gorgeous feline still managed to find her way to the now-excited Maine coon's side, marigold eyes lighting up at her familiar form. A soft purr escaped the large she-cat, a toothy grin lighting up her winter-esque features. "Hello, gorgeous," She greeted in return, an elated warmth encasing her chest - around Dawnfrost she felt as though she was floating. Her ears perked up at the umber feline's question, her smile dampened slightly - but Owlflame knew this topic would come up. "I'm good thank you, my backs doing a lot better." Lies. She felt bad lying to Dawnfrost, but she reminded herself she was only doing it so that she wouldn't worry for her. She didn't need the guilt of Dawnfrost worrying atop the guilt she already felt for having had Dawnfrost fight for her. She was a warrior, and she couldn't help but feel pathetic for not having acted like one. Now she'd have to live knowing that small niche in Dawnfrost's ear was down to her own inability to fight. The large warrior shifted her weight about awkwardly, trying not to wince at the pain that ran down her spine. She needed to apologize, but she was terrible at being sincere when it comes to her feelings, how she would express her guilt she didn't know. "I'm sorry." The words seemed to just slip out, a sense of urgency behind them. Owlflame's ear flattened against her head and a frown encased her features; this was no time for wit or sarcasm, and certainly not a time for flirting. Her marigold gaze avoided Dawnfrost's stunning agate eyes, staring blankly down at the ground as she raked her claws through the dirt absentmindedly. "I mean for having let you fight for me, and for your ear. You didn't have to, and I'm sorry for that," Her words were slow, as though she was having a hard time articulating them for Dawnfrost to understand. She wanted the Bengal feline to know she was truly sorry, but she just didn't know how. She had avoided thinking about it these last few days, but the few times she did she could only think of silly things; fetching her a bouquet wildflowers, bringing her a twoleg trinket, or something else along those cheesy lines. None of it seemed good enough. Yet here she stood with nothing else than her words and a deep sense of vulnerability she'd never felt before. "I-I can make it up to! Whatever you'd like - flowers, or a special kind of prey you want me to catch," She paused, as if reassessing if hunting was a good idea, given her current state, "Anything at all you name it I'll do it." Her words were so out of character for her, given she rarely ever apologised and if she did it certainly lacked even half as much sincerity and urgency as this apology. Marigold eyes finally looked at Dawnfrost, a guilty tint dulling their usually vibrant colour. Owlflame searched Dawnfrost's expressions, desperate to know she could be forgiven. |

@*Lazy Carrot*
Eveningkit slipped out her nursery, her black and white fur neatly groomed, she let out a sigh of relief as she got out of the nursery. Those helpless cats yowling and whimpering, ugh, they can be so annoying. Why don’t the queens try to teach them something useful, make them help with the elder’s fleas and ticks, change bedding, chat with warriors some to learn more about the clans or anything more productive than playing mousebrained games. She spotted a warrior of to the side and she approached him and dipped her head slightly,” Greetings.” She replied respectfully. |

Rustcloud looked down at Eveningkit. "Oh hello Eveningkit what are you doing out of the nursery?"He'd ask. It wasn't super common to see a kit out of the nursery wondering around in search of someone to talk to. Normally they would be playing with a moss ball or a leaf that fell on the ground, but no not this one. He gave her a warm smile since he was a fan of kits. |

He thought that was strange, but he didn't have anything against it. "Eh I don't blame you..Some days I wake up to hear them from the warriors den..Being loud and messing around I can't get sleep when I get to sleep in."He'd explain. |
