Dawnkit politely refused “we can leave it here for anybody who wants it. What do you want to know about the clans? I know lots and lots!” She looked excited as all starclan to tell her new friend about the clans

Duskkit looked at Dawnkit, thinking. "Well I don't really know anyting about the clans right now...Only about apprentices..." He shifted on his paws, feeling a little out of place.

Dawnkit smiled excitedly, her tail thrashing “well okay... what would you like to know more about? We have a leader, a deputy, a medicine cat, warriors, there are gatherings and other clans and the star cave kind of thing... I don’t remember what it’s called”

Duskkit smiled, not sure what to ask about. "Hmmm...What's a leader and deputy?" His pale yellow eyes sparkled with excitement, wishing he already knew it all. He purred as he looked at Dawnkit, waiting for her to answer.

Dawnkit smiled and put her paws under her as she began to explain “well our leader is Lionstar. He has authority over everybody in the clan, starclan granted him 9 lives to serve his clan. Our deputy is Sootflare, they will become leader if Lionstar were to pass away or retire.” She smiled, so excited to be introducing her friend to this “Lionstar was once deputy, but when a cat becomes leader they earn the name star “ she explained @wolfnight

Duskkit settled down next to Dawnkit, scooting next to her so that their pelts were touching. He nodded as he listened to her. "Oh, Lionstar! I met him!" He smiled, remembering when he first joined. "Wait, what's 'starclan'?" He looked at Dawnkit, hoping she would know.

Dawnkit smiled sweetly, licking her friend’s forehead “Starclan is our warrior ancestors. When you look up at the moon and see silverpelt, every star is a warrior of Starclan. It’s where good cats go when they move on. They hunt with Starclan forever.” She gently licked her paws “and when a leader is named they grant the leader 9 lives” @wolfnight

Duskkit looked at Dawnkit, not convinced. "Cats. In the sky? No way that's real." Dead cats in the sky. Nope. Probably just something that they tell the kits. To scare them maybe? He shook his head, unsure why Dawnkit actually believed this.

Dawnkit looked surprised at her clan mate “star clan is real. As real as you and me. Lionstar was granted nine lives from them, he is able to die 9 times before going to go join them. My mom is somewhere up there, my dad too. Every good warrior goes on to join them. I promise you it isn’t a story for kits, it isn’t made to like scare us or anything, we are supposed to love our warrior ancestors and thank them for every bit of prey we have the privilege of eating” she mewed, gently intertwining her tail with her friends @wolfnight

Duskkit looked at Dawnkit, still not convined. "Okay..." He decided to change the subject. "So, what is the medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice?" He shifted on his paws, waiting for his friend to reply.
