Codpaw didn't seem very interested in her analysis of ShadowClan, but she hadn't really expected him to be in the first place. He would understood eventually. For now, she supposed he'd just have to busy himself with other exciting prospects. That was what apprentices were good at anyways: getting excited over silly things. She certainly hoped she hadn't come across that way to her mentor. Her kit drooped a little when she gave the order. Not a good sign. Hissing lightly in annoyance, she waved her tail dismissively. "No matter," she said, brushing it off. "Any kit of mine is surely an excellent swimmer, and I'll leave fishing to your mentor." She mentally added the word 'idiot' between 'your' and 'mentor.' The silver molly backed up a couple steps and crouched down, falling easily into her defensive position. "We'll still start with the basics, but I need to know how natural sparring comes to you." She flicked her tail briskly. "Attack." |
Re: RiverClan Training Island
**Codpaw** Codpaw smiled excitedly, his paws shuffling. Real battle training at last! Luckily, with all of his exploring, Codpaw had gotten sufficient practice swimming, even if it was rarely ever with mentor supervision, or any supervision. It'd be difficult to explore much if he hadn't been a strong swimmer so he'd made it a point to put in plenty of time practicing his already natural talent. As for fishing, well he wasn't bad, he caught enough to feed himself when he was out exploring. Anyways, that's why there was a whole clan hunting, right? Codpaw perked up from his thoughts as he saw his mother dropping back into a defensive crouch. He smiled and heeded Sagewhisper's challenge. Sparring! He crouched down and nodded, focusing. He wanted to impress his mother with how much he could do even without any real training. He called back to the moves he'd witnessed other warriors and apprentices practicing, silently chastising himself for not paying as much attention at the time as he now wished he would've. He took a deep breath and focused on Sagewhisper's body. He took a quick pace forward and leapt into the air directly at Sagewhisper, going for her...back? He wasn't quite sure and, midair he realized he wasn't totally sure what his plan was other than to get his sheathed paws on her. @paradise |
