Silverleopard followed Burnedbark, Dawnpaw, and Nightwhisper into a camp, a squirrel and a thrush dangling from her jaws. She headed over to the fresh-kill pile and set them atop of it, dipping her head to Bumblestar.

Acornfall jolted awake, leaping to his paws and precariously tumbling out of the nursery where he had been napping with his family. The new father was still...rather star-struck at the concept of being a father. And sleeping in the warrior's den was practically torment, he could never get comfortable now. He was too used to sharing a nest with Briarmask. He straightened out as he went, eventually reaching Wolfhawk and dipping his head. Oak leaves and yarrow. Yarrow was a tall plant with white flowers that bloomed in clusters. Should be easy enough!

He was...less than thrilled about returning to the creek, but it is what it is. Acornfall turned, looking for his patrolmates. He spotted Flowerhawk rather quickly, waving his tail in greeting as he approached with a broad, friendly smile. Only to remember...this was the cat that Blackbird liked right? Thinking of his...former friend made his ear twitch and his fur bristle slightly. But he shook the feeling off quickly. That was neither Flowerhawk's fault nor his. Besides, he didn't know this she-cat otherwise. "Flowerhawk right?" He mewed in greeting as he got closer, nodding in greeting. "Just waitin' on Minkvenom it looks like." He mused, looking around for the other warrior. But if they weren't here soon, they'd have to move on without them. Acornfall would rather go back and forth to carry two loads worth back that delay getting Wolfhawk the herbs he needed.

Leafstorm's lithe golden-brown form slipped into camp through the tunnel, her golden eyes narrowed with disbelief. She couldn't believe that Sunstream and Smokepaw had had the nerves to be disrespectful to the patches of herbs that they had been sent out to Cattail Pond to collect, especially since disrespecting the herbs meant disrespecting Wolfhawk and Hollowpaw. How were they supposed to get the herbs that they needed if there weren't any left to harvest? The mistakes of the two cats could lead to their Clanmates dying.

Spotting Wolfhawk, Leafstorm veered off in his direction, giving a wave of her tail that told Sunstreak and Smokepaw to follow her. The warrior set down her tansy and comfrey at the medicine cat's paws. ''Greetings, Wolfhawk. Here is the tansy and comfrey you asked us to retrieve from Cattail Pond,'' Leafstorm dipped her head respectfully. ''I do bring some rather...disturbing news that I know for certain that you won't like to hear. Neither Sunstreak nor Smokepaw were gentle with their harvests. Sunstreak destroyed an entire patch of tansy by ripping half of the leaves and flowers off the plant, while Smokepaw took the new growth off of a patch of comfrey rather than the old growth to make sure that there were some leaves left for later harvests.''

''Also, Lightningpaw showed up for the patrol and followed us out of camp, but never showed her face at Cattail Pond.''

Lynxpaw knows their late, but he's sure Bumblestar would rather have a report than no knowledge whatsoever. He just hopes she doesn't punish him too harshly since it's only his first one. Spotting the small form of the cream-pelted leader, Lynxpaw makes his way over and gives a respectful dip of his head before starting his report.

"I apologize for our lateness. We made it to the WindClan border and there was another patrol. I guess I've never seen cats from the other Clans before so when I got distracted by looking at them Milkbee and Carrioncaller disappeared. I called out to find them and Milkbee came back, and I think she finished marking the border? I don't actually know but she was near it when she came back. Carrioncaller didn't show back up and I got nervous about being late so I came back with Milkbee. At least, I assume she followed me. Either way, I'm sorry for being late.

Lynxpaw dips his head again, unable to keep his tail from twitching nervously as he looks back at his leader to hear her response. He knows that there's not much he could have done differently, but it still hurts that his first patrol ended up like this. He wants to impress Bumblestar, not make her worry about them because their late or whether the border got marked!

Acornfall nodded approvingly at Flowerhawk and Minkvenom. Minkvenom, for all her talk, didn't come back with much. But it was something, and in his book that meant she did her part. "Alright team, let's head back." He mewed with a happy chirp, picking up his oak leaves and yarrow before turning to lead them back to camp.

Upon his return, he trotted up to Wolfhawk and set his load down. "I think we got a decent load." He mewed, glancing over his shoulder for Flowerhawk and Minkvenom before looking back at the medic. "But if you need more, let me know!"

Unfortunately for everyone involved today, Hollowpaw is sending out way too many patrols. To be fair, though, he wants to be as stocked up on herbs as physically possible while still trying not to risk anything rotting too quickly... he should probably set a few herbs aside to see if drying them makes any difference in how long they last or how potent they are..... and, while he's on that topic, how much of an herb is too much? If he were to feed a cat in pain say... 10 poppy seeds instead of the normal 1 or 2, what would happen..? Hm...

...Anyways, what was he doing? Oh. That's right. Patrols. What were they going out to collect today? It's warm again and plants are growing so it's not like the selection of things to get is limited overmuch. Hence, he's sending out too many patrols. Every patrol. All of them.

"Snakefang[ @Seamrog ], take Firebloom [ @Star ] and Sunpaw [ @Kix ] to the territory. You're looking for marigold - orange or yellow flowers with frilly petals. Not fuzzy, frilly. They've got thin and short leaves that look almost like a fern. I also want you looking for goldenrod - they're tall plants with yellow flowers growing in a sort of spire or a sprig. The flowers are tiny and they're clumped together and they have small, oval shaped leaves.

"Dazecloud [ @Waste Of Bandages ], you're going to look for poppy and burdock at sunkissed creek with Cherryfang [ @Hex ] and Cougarpaw [ @Tallstar ]. Poppy are red flowers with wide petals and dark centers with lots of seeds. They have long stems but I just need the flowers - preferably with all the seeds still in tact. Burdock are green bulbous flowers with purple petals that are all stringy like a thistle. I need the roots.

"Wolfhawk [ @Beaan ], Acornfall [ @Luna16 ], Emberpaw [ @_Nacht_Mango-_- ], comfrey and dandelion. Comfrey'll be bell like flowers that can be blue or purple, they grow on sort of... mediumish stems and their leaves are thick and slightly fuzzy. I need the roots and the leaves. Dandelion are yellow flowers that are all fuzzy, like tiny suns. They have low to the ground leaves that are wide and sorta wavy but their stems are tall and hollow on the inside. You're going to cattail pond for them.

"And, lastly, to firefly cove; Raggedear [ @korok ], Dandelionmane [ @seeingstars ], Quackpaw [ @Minku ] with me. I want us looking for celandine and blessed thistle. Celandine is a small yellow flower with long petals in the shape of a star, kinda. Their leaves are wide and ridged. Blessed thistle is a plant that looks almost like something caught in a spiderweb. They're redish and have prickly leaves. The flowers are thorny so pick it by the stem."

That being said, he's done delegating patrols so Hollowpaw sits back on his haunches and watches as the cats gather to head out, waiting for his own patrol to come to him.
