Batsong licks his paws and then turns his head away to let the kit hide, his tail twitching as he waits. He wasn't exactly sure what he was gonna do once he caught the kit, he didn't want to put too much strain on him. He wanted the kit to be fit again so that his hunting and every movement isn't so uncomfortable and noisy. He would be careful with the kit as if he were his own. Was he going to be like his father? No. He'll try and be like one of the other queens, the softer ones.

Smokykit darted off to the place he'd found to hide. He looked at the size of the gap through narrowed eyes hmm, yeah I should fit. He thought to himself squeezing his head into the gap. He managed to barely push his shoulders in, but there was no way he could get the rest of his body in. oh well! guess I'll just turn back! He squirmed trying to get out, but it was hopeless, the round kit was stuck. A loud high-pitched squeal came out of the kit like an alarm as he struggled trying to gain his freedom.

Hearing it, Batsong quickly got up and went over to the squeaking and he would've laughed at the sight if he could. Instead, he held onto the kit's hind legs and pulled him out with a bit of difficulty and looked down at him, reaching over to groom the kit's fur.
"Are you alright?"

Smokykit whimpered as he shifted closer to the warrior. He was fine, just a literal baby. He sniffled as he looked up at Batsong and nodded "I'm okay" the kit squeaked out.

Batsong wrapped his tail around the small kit and holds him close.
"Maybe save that hiding spot for when you can fit. I think the best exercise we can do is moss ball. I'll throw it and you'll go and catch it and bring it back, alright?"

The blue-grey tom flopped on his side and let out a whine "I don't waaaannaaa" he rolled on his back and flailed his paws in the air

"You'll become like an elder before you become an apprentice. You were so keen to be hunting and fighting with us but I guess this proves you don't want to. Best you go back to the nursery, I'll have hunt for the queens soon."
He stood up and nudged Smokykit a bit towards the nursery.
