Berrypaw nodded, pondering about some other solution. "Well, you don't have to train me fully..." she muttered, "You could, like, just go hunting or spar with me and it would count." She sighed. "You were really lucky with your mentor, you managed to complete your training fully with him. Scorchstrike, my former mentor had done hunting with me and then disappeared. Darkflower had done nothing with me and then she disappeared. I didn't like Darkflower, anyways. She was weak and everything, I think she was afraid to kill," Berrypaw meowed curtly.

Shadefrost listened intently to Berrypaw as she spoke, he remembered seeing Scorchstrike and Darkflower around camp, but never really cared enough to pay attention to them (or speak to them for that matter). The young molly was right though, she could just spar or hunt with him and let that count, actually now that he thought of it there was no rule saying that he couldn't give helpful tips to one of his clanmates. He then waited a few more seconds before speaking, trying to decide whether it would be a great idea or not. "Hmm" he hummed uncertainty "I'm still not sure if training you inderectly would be a good idea, but I'm willing to give it a shot."

Berrypaw grinned. She knew she could rely on Shadefrost! "Thanks," she meowed happily. "Could we maybe spar? I know how to hunt, and even though I've taught myself some battle moves, I need more training on that." She then decided it was time to ask her best friend one of the questions that had been lingering in her mind. Even if he answered something that wasn't to Berrypaw's liking (for example him not liking Dawnstar) she wouldn't tell it to anyone. He had always been there for her. "What do you think of Dawnstar?" the molly asked curiously.

Shadefrost looked at Berrypaw with a bit of surprise, he certainly wasn't expecting her to ask something like that, even though he knew what side of the question he stood on he was more worried about why she was asking. The dark tom then looked up thoughtfully trying to find the right words, "well if were being honest" he said still looking up as if he was thinking "I'd have to say she's probably one of the most craziest cats that I've ever met." Yes, this was definitely how Shadefrost thought of Dawnstar, "but" he began again "I'm not going to lie that's one of the things I admire that about her. She's fun, ruthless, a great leader, and if you ask me I'd say she knows how to keep things interesting." Yup, he was a Dawnstar supporter, and if people didn't like him because of that so be it. After he finished speaking the Shadowclan tom looked over to Berrypaw with a curious glint in his eyes "so why did you want to know" mewed Shadefrost with a friendly tone.

@Froya
(So sorry it took so long to set up!)

Orchidmoon was sitting in a soft patch of sunlight, enjoying the warmth on her fur. Her tail tip twitched as she silently observed the other cats in the clearing. One in particular caught her eye. It was a tom, one she saw frequently and knew little about, and that drove her crazy. Orchidmoon prided herself on two things, her glorious chocolate pelt, and her knowledge of every single cat in this camp, save a select few. Condorcall certainly was an odd cat in her eyes, she often watched as he prodded at prey in the freshkill pile, and he was rarely in camp.

Orchidmoon sighed and stood, it was high time she investigated this cat. She carefully selected a bird from the freshkill pile, deciding on a crow, it seemed to match Condorcall's aesthetic. She sauntered over to him and dropped the bird at her feet. "Condorcall, correct? Why don't you share this crow with me." She sat down, not bothering to wait for his response. "Feel free to poke at it, or whatever it is you do with dead things." She mewed, trying to keep her tone casual, "Actually, do you mind explaining what exactly you are doing with them? I'm terribly curious." She twisted her features into an innocent, almost naive expression. She could have laughed, like she'd ever been naive about something.

She curled her dark chocolate tail around her paws as she waited for an answer, more closely observing the tom's appearance. He was handsome enough, his fluffy dark mane and strange amber eyes made him stick out a bit more than the average cat. Not to mention his fangs. Yes, he certainly had an intriguing appearance, on top of his mysterious aura. Her green eyes glimmered as he observed his face while waiting for his response. She of all cats knew that words could mean nothing, it was usually the eyes that revealed the secrets.

@Naiad | Condorcall
also sorry for late response !!!! :( !!

There was a filmy veil of soft dull mist obscuring the forestry environment, giving it a shady hue, for the sun had not yet fully set. Dusk had settled upon Clans like a hawk descending from the sky to seize a rodent with it’s mighty talon; quick and relentless. Condorcall had been unsuspecting of this bird of prey coming to cast the lands in an eerie dark. Though, when he found himself gripped in the claws of the ferocious beast, he welcomed it with serenity. The ShadowClanner did not sway from his site, fastened to the ground as a root beneath the earth. He had grown accustomed to the blackness and sat it through it whilst remaining unperturbed. However, far within the late hours, his eyes had fluttered shut and when he reopened them, Condorcall was greeted with the morning light shining through crevice of the undergrowth.

He had slept sitting near the edge of camp.

But it did not come as a surprise to the dark Warrior of ShadowClan as he stretched his limbs and pulled himself from the shadows. Condorcall had grown accustomed to situating his being anywhere and everywhere to rest; to him, there was no uncomfortable placement, only unique and fascinating ones. Why not discover them all? He had yet to find a reason not to. Though, he wished he could could experience it all; from the settling of dusk to the arise of dawn. It was mere misfortune that his body required rest to keep his mind un-muddled and vibrant. He wished differently, but understood it could not be.

With a sigh escaping his jaws and his paws shifting above the surface of the soil, Condorcall raised his copper hues to the sky, whiskers twitching at the view of the horizon through the towering pines. He stared longingly, before the sound of another had returned him to the pressuring reality he both loved and despised.

“Hm?”
Curious eyes had led him to the molly at his paws, the tall tomcat blinked, a response caught within his throat as he yet to muster a reply. Though, Orchidmoin took little offense to his silence, pushing him along a path less traveled by kin and creatures like himself. Sharing prey…? It made him wonder if his peers saw him as unfit to catch his own. Condorcall had never had prey bestowed before him. Frankly, his stomach didn’t feel the pains of hunger either. Yet, would it not be of chivalry to decline? He didn’t possess an answer. Rather, the tomcat bowed his head, offering a silent thanks before he raised his head.

Before a vocal gratitude to exit his tongue, Condorcall was faced with an unsuspecting query, one of his which sparked interest in his aloof hues, now glimmering with amusement. “Ah,” A light chuckle escaped the maw of the warrior as he settled himself upon the floor. ”I attempt to not make it a public display,” Condorcall explained, a slight tilt of his head. “I found it that others were not quite as intrigued with the inners of beings as I. Though, curiosity blossoms within my heritage, the yearn for knowledge is unquenchable.” He paused, clicking his tongue with the roof his mouth before continuing. “Though if answers are what you seek, then answers I shall provide. What I do with them? I study them. It is not anything too interesting for ones like yourself. But I find it… beneficial to indulge in knowledge concerning the creatures we share the air with. Don’t you agree?”

@Froya
(I love your roleplay style! I wish to be as eloquent as you are!!)

Orchidmoon tilted her head to the side as the tom spoke, his words were a bit nonsensical in her mind, but he seemed kind. She nodded along as he spoke, her tail tip flicking with interest. "Mhm," she agreed vaguely, she really didn't care much about the prey, as long as it tasted good, but she was intringued by his passion for it, "I see you're driven by curiosity?" That was something she could relate to, though perhaps not quite in the same way. Most cats would classify Orchidmoon as nosy, but she simply considered herself as an investigator.

Her tail stilled and she lifted a paw, licking it then swiping it over her ear as she spoke again, "I too enjoy... investigating I suppose you could call it. Though, I've never really thought to look so closely at freshkill." Again there was a difference in their similarities, while he seemed to enjoy exploring stranger inquiries, Orchidmoon was more interested in learning about cats. How they're minds worked, what their goals were, what they held closest to they're hearts. What she did with that information depended on the cat, she'd do anything from blackmailing to befriending the cat depending on the opinion she had on them. Condorcall was still an enigma to her, however.

She wasn't sure what exactly she thought of him. Usually she could tell if she would like a cat the moment she began speaking with them, but she'd never met a cat quite like him. She wasn't sure if she liked it or not, but the challenge enticed her. She was determined to learn something about this cat before the day's end. "Do you have any siblings?" She couldn't think of any cat that may be related to Condorcall, but it certainly would help. More cats to discuss with meant more knowledge, whether it was good or bad.

Re: ShadowClan Clearing

@Naiad | Condorcall

“Are not most cats?” The chide exited his maw before he could counter, though truth submerged itself in the river of his words as he floated along the current. Condorcall thought little of the reaction of the molly, but whether it be from a lack of care or display was any feline’s guess. He mostly traversed the marshland alone; accompanied by none save for his own silhouette. Who was he to heed the skepticism of others? The judgement in which they would cast was no bother to Condorcall himself, after all his antics have been proceeding for generations before he had even entered the world which he knew it to be. The ShadowClan tom was aware curiosity and wit traveled along his bloodline, and presented strongly in the kin he once knew. It was a unpredictable and often costly at times. Though the yearn to continue the family legacy and indulge himself in the unfinished experiments brought to him by his ancestors was his duty, and had been since birth.

Vulturecry had sworn his kin was destined for something; whether it be for greatness or obscurity Condorcall had yet to find out himself. Though, his father had been insistent. Condorcall was familiar with the reputation upheld by past relatives, most insignificant and gruesome than beneficial and great. Their experiments went dismissed if not disgraced. Perhaps it was that his peers didn’t understand the importance of their mischief, or maybe the peculiar family line was just too amiss to realize their faults. Whether it be, it would be something. Condorcall never required greatness. Not within his Clan. Greatness was just as much possibility as irrelevance, both of which he would be willing to acquire, as long as he provided the kin needed to make up for it.

“Siblings?” Condorcall echoed the word, a glint registering in his copper eye before he gazed towards the sky. The gears within his mind turned and after a heartbeat, the dark tomcat parted his maw to speak. Yet, nothing emitted from his tongue but a breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding. Condorcall shook his head. “I’m afraid not.” He confirmed, returning his solemn gaze to the floor and before the prey still seated at his paws. He hadn’t touched it, hadn’t eaten it. His brows knitted in thought the as he met the clouded eye of the deceased rodent. He continue, slowly, “My mother was sworn to be barren, unlikely to retain a pregnancy despite her desire. Though, of course, it wasn’t exactly so given my current existence.” Condorcall hummed. “However… whether it had been a blessing from the stars or a curse from below, suppose that is still debated for few.”

Condorcall concluded there, giving his dark mane a swift lick before he fixed his eye on the carcass once more. Rather than engage in his normal dissection however, the tall oriental leaned forwards, taking hold of the flesh with ivory fangs before sinking his teeth into its skin. He pulled apart a chunk of the rodent, hoarding it in his maw as he chewed the flesh before the official devour. Condorcall eyed the molly then, gesturing silently for her to consume similarly.

Re: ShadowClan Clearing

@Froya

This cat was quite amusing to talk to. His odd ways of phrasing things and his peculiar hobbies made him, at least in Orchidmoon's eyes, quite a bit more interesting. The molly took a bite from the freshkill, following Condorcall. "Well I suppose it would appear to be a blessing, at least in your eyes I would assume," she mewed, swiping her tongue over her maw. "On the contrary, I've found curiosity to not be of importance to most cats. You'd be surprised by their motivations," Orchidmoon circled back to their topic of curiosity, "Love, ambition, revenge... mostly for their own gain." In her moons of investigating cats, finding out secrets and rumors, she'd almost always find a selfish motivation behind every action.

There were a few, of course, who remained pure in what was arguably a tainted world, but those cats were rare and held little intrigue. Innocence, if anything, was dull. Even Orchidmoon, as self-important as she was, could admit she was as self-serving as the next cats. Curiosity might be part of her drive, but the reward of that curiosity would be what initiated it. Climbing the social latter, being apart of high society, was her biggest incentive.

She turned her glittering green gaze back to the dark tom, still mystified by him. His intentions seemed unusually pure for a cat with such association with death. Surely it wasn't curiosity alone that drove him, there, similar to Orchidmoon, had to be some sort of underlying cause. He had mentioned his family, how his ancestors partook in similar studies. She flicked her chocolate tail to the side, she would simply have to wait for his response. She wasn't sure if she was frustrated by Condorcall, or fascinated by his vagueness. He spoke openly, yet seemed like such a closed book at the same time. It puzzled the molly.
