She grinned, eyes sparkling with glee. She looked to Peachtuft, blushing a bit more. “Alright, can you tell me about yourself? I’m curious…you seem nice…definitely great to be around…” She suddenly realized what she said, and clenched her teeth, looking to her food. “I-I mean you seem interesting to be around!” Her pelt started to warm, and bit the top of her lip.

So this was it...
She and her two sisters had been found on the territory, young, almost newly born, and had been brought back by a warrior. And named her Darkkit.

Darkkit's green gaze slowly took in the cats in the nursery. She didn't trust them, they would have to prove themselves to her to earn it. And she knew many, many of them would hate her because of her presumed rouge heritage. And it wouldn't be a surprise if one of them would try to have her "go missing" by "mistake" if they got the chance. No, they would need to prove that they were worth her trust before she would let them near with keeping an close eye on them.

Her thoughts were interrupted and eyes forced closed by a yawn. It had been long days and sleep had been a privilege for those who felt safe, for those who could feel like a part of this clan and not like an outsider only brought here to serve them in battle once she grew up.

Even though he said he was doing fine, there was a sense of sadness about him, loneliness perhaps, that Brackenfire couldn't easily pinpoint. Frowning, she listened thoughtfully best she could. It wasn't like she understood the pressures of being medicine cat. She had never been in the position, really. With everyone depending on her to keep them healthy and well. "It does sound like a lot. I'm sure it feels like there's a lot of pressure on you, doesn't it?" She said softly, twitching an ear, and resting her tail lightly on his back, in an attempt of comfort. "I can't imagine how it must be for you. But you've been doing awesome, I know it may not feel like you are sometimes, but sometime that little voice inside your head lies, it tries to make you feel like you aren't doing it right. But that's just fear, and fear can't be listened to, or it'll control your life."

Smiling gently when he commented on how long it had been since the conversation they had last, it had been five moons or around that much, hadn't it? "Yeah, it's been too long."

Brackenfire had noticed that some certain cats had been giving him a hard time. She hissed between gritted teeth at the memory of Dawnstar degrading Bounceberry's promotion. She respected and cared about Dawnstar, she was her 'mother' after all, but she cared a whole heck of a lot more for Bounceberry.

"Oh, who cares if she likes you or not?!" She burst out, unable to contain her complete irritation. "Last time I checked, she wasn't the one healing the whole Clan! She's not the one who converses with StarClan! For the record, if it means anything to you, I like you, and I think you're doing awesome at being medicine cat, so she can just... just... stuff fox-dung in her mouth because that's all that's coming out of it!"

Bounceberry remained hunched over, tail twitching from side to side on occasion as he listened to his friend speak. The tom was hunched over with his ears pinned in an all too 'sorry for himself' pose. He kept his ears angled towards Brackenfire.

After she had finished speaking, he stood and bowed his head, responding to her last sentiments about Dawnstar-

"That is....." he trailed off in thought, "More comforting than you might expect."

He looked up towards the treetops, getting a glimpse of the light filtering down, it had been all too long since he'd seen the sky.

He turned his head, staring off into the forest, before speaking, soft, "..would you l-like to visit sky glade with me? I need some fresh air..."

“Hm~,” the little kit had sat in one of the corners of the nursery early this morning, humming to herself as she scooted a leaf closer, using her little paws as a smile played along her muzzle. Laurelkit knew she was naive to the world outside of the camps walls, something she had figured out only a moon or so ago, but she never swelled on that fact. Rather, Laurelkit spent her mornings in the nursery, playing with whatever had drifted inside and sometimes even the other kits, but hardly any other kit wanted to play with her. The queens which she had spoken to said it was Laurelkits temper, she didn’t have a temper so she didn’t understand what they were talking about! Sure, sometimes say may have reacted negatively towards another kit, but she always had good reasoning! A little sigh fluttered from her as Laurelkit scanned the area around her, blue eyes somewhat glittering in the darkness as she narrowed and unnarrowed them. She really wanted to find Daisykit, her sister, one of the few kits that would actually play with Laurelkit. Laurelkit loved her sister, but they butted heads sometimes.
With a little sigh, Laurelkit decided she didn’t know where Daisykit was and frowned slightly. She was growing bored of the nursery, bored of just sitting there with nothing to do but play with a leaf that had somehow fluttered into the den. Rising onto her paws, Laurelkit cast one more look around before pushing her way into the clearing, her blue eyes lighting up slightly as she paused at the entrance. She rarely came out here, and when she did Laurelkit wasn’t always paying that much attention, but the dimness to the clearing was somewhat comforting as she stepped along the cool ground. Her little pink paw pads felt quite nice brushing along the harder soil, but as she was casting a glance around herself Laurelkit had to pause and stare up at a tree beyond the walls. She wanted to go out there, to see what it was like, but she didn’t want Dawnstar on her tail about it.

In his mouth dangled a frog in which he was really rather proud of. Given it wasn't his first time catching one, but these things are rather difficult to catch-

Though as he turned the corner he smells of a rather small cat- nay, kitten by the entrance. He tenses up a little and on his way back he notices the little fellow by the entrance. Though with his mouthful of frog he couldn't really speak, so he only stared at the kit with a frown, hoping the kitten got the ghist of his question.

Her thoughts had consumed her senses. It was like everything outside of the day dream she was having did not exist, and would never exist. She was seeing herself stalking along the forest floor, pine needles poking at her little pads as another cat wasn’t too far behind. Odd, she hoped she would’ve been alone. Giving a few slow blinks, she realized it wasn’t that another cat was in the daydream, but the fact that outside of it there was a warrior looking at her. Twisting her neck to look towards Robincall, her blue eyes suddenly lit up as she popped up from in front of the wall, excitement obviously showing in her gaze. “Hi there mister!” a little purr had come out as the Kit pranced towards the warrior and now stood mere inches from him, her gaze examining him before it rested on the frog. ”Wow,” she had given a little whispered breath as she stared towards it and blinked a few times “did you catch that?” blinking innocently at the tom, Laurelkit gave a little head tilt to the right as her gaze yet again ran along him. He was so much bigger than her, but then she remembered something she had forgotten a few moments ago. “Oh! What’s your name mister?” Laurelkit flickered her tail back and further as she awaited his answers.

"Heya little fella." He replied, forgetting about the frog, as it fell out of the jaw and plopped onto the ground. A little bit embarrassed though a little bit amused by his own mishap. "Name is Robincall, now what is the little she-cat doing so close to the entrance?" He leaned down a little, hopefully to not be so imposing or threatening in anyway. Plus, it's his second time catching a kit so close.

Laurelkit felt a jolt of excitement as Robincall acknowledged her. She wasn’t acknowledged much, seeing as others didn’t seem to like her that much. She didn’t understand why, she thought she was just as wonderful as her sister. “Hi!” she repeated, giving a few blinks as she shuffled from paw to paw. Laurelkit seemed to be struggling to keep eye contact as the frog fell to the ground and her little blue orbs followed it. Silently, she wished that could’ve been her catch. That she would’ve been able to prove herself at this young age and then maybe Dawnstar would’ve noticed her. Looking back up at Robincall for a moment, Laurelkit had been able to keep eye contact for just a few seconds before she went back to looking over his pelt. However, when he had leaned down slightly Laurelkits attention seemed to be recaptured by this and she took a moment to think about the answer to his question. “Well..” she began carefully, her gaze glancing back towards the trees beyond the Shadowclan walls. “I was admiring the woods,” her voice had a certain loud but even element to it as she shuffled her paws lightly “and thinking about when I would become a apprentice, about how I could explore those woods, and how much I want to explore now,” her impatience showed in her features as Laurelkit wrinkled her nose slightly.

"Hi!" He repeats with a chuckle, though he lit up in curiosity as she admits to looking outside. "Exciting isn't it? Though if you explore it now before becoming apprentice it will ruin the fun of your first training outside~" He winks at the kit. He noticed her enthusiasm, which only amuses the tom more, "What is your name by the way?"
