Opening a pair of dazzling blue eyes, Cricketpaw surveyed the chaotic stormy that encircled the remnants of ShadowClan's camp. She had never been here during her life in RiverClan, but she couldn't imagine that things had looks like this. Dens were collapsed and being washed away, the once tough nursery floating downstream, swept up by the mud and rain. Cats everywhere let out screams of terror and pain, and she felt a dull ache thump against her chest as her heart yearned to reach out and help those who desperately needed it. All the training she had completed with Geckoleaf would be helpful in this situation, but right now it was about as useless as looking for herbs in a snowstorm. Her claws flexed as she took sight of a young warrior, Aspenfall, racing back and forth, first helping Feathermist, then going back towards the nursery. In another corner, normal warriors were helping those who were too weak or too injured to move themselves get to higher ground. At least Daypaw isn't just left by themselves, she thought with a relief, knowing that at times her former best friend could become a bit strung out. With a jolt, a familiar voice cut through the current situation and the Bengal's head snapped around, eyes wide. There, struggling to cling to an inevitable mudslide, was Daypaw. The medicine cat was yowling out for help, though it seemed as if no one could hear them. Panic flashed through Cricketpaw, and the StarClan apprentice raced forward, gliding effortlessly through the mud as her faint starry outline blurred past all moving bodies. "Daypaw!" she cried, not sure if they would even be able to hear her. This was the first time she had visited the Clans since her death - she wasn't ready to face Geckoleaf in RiverClan yet - but Northpath had told her that in times of distress, the medicine cats might be able to see their ancestors due to their special connection. And right now, Daypaw seemed to be in trouble; Cricketpaw knew she needed to act fast to help her friend. "Hang on, friend," she breathed as she leaned closer to Daypaw, looking at them with compassionate eyes before standing and glancing around. It wasn't too far from where she was standing when Cricketpaw noticed Minkpaw. She knew of the she-cat's relationship with the old medicine cat Kestrelberry, and decided that she might be the most concerned. Working with the knowledge that Minkpaw wouldn't be able to sense her, she ran over, kicking up mud all around the she-cat, hoping to draw the apprentice's attention to Daypaw. A strange calmness had settled within Minkpaw as the tiger-furred she-cat scanned the clearing. Most everyone had made it out of camp, a few were still struggling. She was about to turned and escape to even higher ground when a piece of mud seemed to fling itself from the ground and smack her above the eye. "What in StarClan's name...?" she blinked, turning to see who the culprit of the immature toss was. Instead, she caught a glimpse of Daypaw, the new medicine cat who had succeeded her uncle. A sinking feeling struck her, and without skipping a beat she bolted towards them, not even noticing as she passed right through Cricketpaw, who simply turned to watch from a distance. Minkpaw dove back into the mud, tearing her way through the thick brown substance until she reached the top of the hill that Daypaw was struggling to haul themselves onto. "Daypaw! Here, hold on!" the she-cat yowled as the wind buffeted her fur in every which way, her ears flattened against her head in an attempt to block out the windy storm. She extended her claws, hooking them into the scruff on Daypaw's shoulders. Bracing herself by digging her hind claws into the soil behind her, she heaved herself backwards, growling under the pressure that it took to lift the medicine cat. "Don't give up! ShadowClan needs you, you mouse-brain!" |

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
{Open!}Hollowpaw panted. "I... I never knew there was a flood coming!" Sue said. Tears welled in her eyes. "Our home... Its gone." She said to Falconpaw. Falconpaw looked at his friend. "At least we have our hearts to remember it." he padded away.
Hollowpaw felt hollow inside. She was so afraid. She saw cats running in horror, she had woke up and cats were running. She was on Falconpas back. The eleven moon old apprentice had shown bravery of holding her. The small she cat crouched, small and shivering. The she cat curled up and drifted into an uneasy sleep. Hollowpaw woke up in a forest. The light was dark and there were no stars. "Hello?" She called. Her cream fur plastered to her sides and her lungs burned. "Were am I?" She asked herself. She looked around. "Am I dead?" She was so scared. She ran forward, not looking back. She crashed into a black fured tom with deep amber eyes. She looked up, she backed away. "Were am I?" She asked him. "Who are you?" He looked at her. "Your in the Dark Forest." He said. He sat down and curled his tail around his paws. He looked at Hollowpaw with narrowed slits. "I am Foxfang. I'm a warrior here. " He smirked. "You left your home... My home... " He'd hissed and dug his claws into the ground. Hollow paw hissed. "We had to! It was dangerous! " She got up and her tail lashed. She jumped onto Foxfang and bit his shoulder. She slipped under him, but wasn't expecting to feel his weight as he let himself fall on her. She used her teeth and bit her neck and kick him off. She jumped up bristling and snarling. He jumped at her and knocked her over. He dug his claws into the she cats shoulders and grabbed her scruff. He threw her at a tree and jumped on her. He dug his razor sharp teeth into the see and he heard her yowl in pain. He let go of her and swiped his claws around her neck. He pinned her down and felt her wriggle from underneath him. She jumped up, blood welling from her wounds. She ran, not looking hack and crashed through the thorns and bracken. She ran, jumping over the logs and roots. Shed had to get out of here. She tripped and fell, sharp pans flew into her and she tried to yowl but nothing came out. She curled up and cried. She woke up, back in the wet moss. Her pelt was sticky from blood and she started to lick herself clean. She felt the blood welling again and she just stopped. There was no point in even trying when the blood kept coming back. She slipped back into a dream. The wind buffeted her fur as she woke up. She woke up in a small clearing. Stars shone brightly and she found a small she cat sitting next to a pool. She padded over. "Hello... Is this starclan?" She asked. She felt her pelt still sticky and clumped together. "I'm Hollowpaw... Am I dead?" The she cat jumped up. "This is starclan. And no, you arent dead. Your clan mates need you. Go back. I will guide you." She said. She touched her nose to her forehead and licked her head. She felt the she cats pelt sooth and relax. Her breathing became steady as she curled up into a peaceful sleep. She awoke again. She got up and went over to a puddle and started to wash herself. "I can't believe I went to the Dark Forest..." She told herself. "Why was I there?" She wondered. "Is her my mentor? Am I supposed to train with him? Am I going to do something bad?" The she cat kept asking. She looked at the moon and said, "I will make it... I'm a strong, smart and brave cat...I can do this." {Longest Post EVER!} |

The enby gave a small nod and started to make their way through the water. The water was up to their belly fur now, and with the weight of another cat on them it made them slower. Their paws felt heavy as if they were going to give out anytime soon, the trudged forward. Their vision was blurry from the rain, a grey haze infront of them. The only thing that reassured them was the feeling of claws in their fur, safe and secure. They kept their ears close to her head to block out the howling wind. Thoughts rushed in Daypaws mind, what would happen if they slipped? Would they be able to save the apprentice on their back? Daypaw would feel guilt every single day of their life for every life they would try to save if they failed. They refused. They kept going, coming closer to the hill now. They could see cats above, most of the clan was up there now. They gave out a shakey breath, balancing their weight on their hind paws and leaping towards the hill and digging their claws into the mud, the earth seeping between their toes. Rain poured against them as if it were trying to push them down again, but Daypaw refused. They wanted Avocetpaw to live to see another day, and they made a mental note to check out their paw asoon as possible. Quote:
Their claws stung. They felt like they were going to be ripped from their paws they were gripping the rock tightly. Only their head was above the water, the rest of their bodt effortlessly shifting to the way the water moved. All it needed was Daypaw to let go. It was tempting, to make a deal with the devil. Die and your pain goes away, or live in exhausted agony till the day you die. Maybe they should let go. Let go of the anger and hatred they felt for Starclan right now. Every drop of rain felt like another dagger against their head. It felt like it was pounding, it blocked out most of the thunder. They could smell blood, the space under their left ear was bleeding from the fall. Their eyes were lidded. The dark water looked inviting. For a moment, Daypaw felt at peace. They never felt like they belong with the other medcats. They didnt have a mentor to help them fit in, they didnt have parents who they would accept. Their siblings lived different lives then Daypaw-training to be a warrior. Its something Day had always envied. They didnt hold Starclan above them like the other medcats, were they out of place? Did they belong in the line of Shadowclans medicine cats? The water reminded them of something theyd see in a dream. Dark and errie like a monster, lapping at the edges of their fur. Tugging, tugging for them to let go. A temptation that they couldnt take back. Their body ached from running up and down the hill ushering their patients to safety. They put everyone else before them, and this one moment Daypaw thought of themselves. What would make them happy> Living a life where they got no sleep, everytime they closed their eyes was a world of detruction in ruins. Their body always exhausted from not resting or eating properly. Living a life where cats disrespected them on a daily basis for their gender. Daypaw saw a glimpse of Cricketpaw. Was she here to take them to Starclan? For Daypaw to become a cat they have always dreaded to be? To live their after life as a hypocrite? They smiled towards her,"Old friend," they would be with Cricket again. They would live in a world where it was peaceful, no nightmares and no worries. They thought for a moment. Would their mother miss them? How would their siblings feel? Would Hale find a new medcat, even if in Riverclan? The thoughts were endless but the same temptation edged in their mind. Tug tug tug. Let go. Just do it, youll be okay. Let go. Let go. Let go. Youll be safe here. They let their claws shelth as they let go of the rock, but suddenly felt claws in their scruff. They felt numb. They wanted to go to their mother and curl up like a kit again before all of this happened. They were so young, an apprentice, and they considered just letting go. Daypaw choked on their breath, more water ozzing from their lungs as they struggled for air. Broken amber hues looked at the dark water. Another time. Quote:

Daypaw didnt notice Morningpath slip into the current. It seemed he was there one moment, and gone the next. That was a life. He maybe had a mate, kits even, couldnt maybe grown up to be leader one day. Gone. Just in the blink of an eye. They yowled for him till their throat burned. No return. Daypaw wasnt dumb and knew they needed to move. Marshfur wasnt next to them. Whipping around they realized the warrior was close to the edge of the hill where they began, only more rushing water greeted her as the rain was merciless. They slid down the hill cautiously, claws making lines in the mud and they leaned and grabbed her by the scurff again, hauling her away from the water. "Im not having you die on me too." |

"Maybe you should open up your mind a bit more..." Rockkit snapped back. The apprentice sized kit leaped ahead of the group and squinted his big blue eyes. "I see them! A group of cats next to a small shelter." "Thank..." Wolfpaw was going to say StarClan but due to recent events and everyone's current mood, he decided it wasn't appropriate. "Thank...you Daypaw for leading us here." He smiled awkwardly, teeth like shiny pearls in the dark ocean. |
Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
Mistpaw stumbled through the gushing water, the loose dirt falling underneath his paws. His fur dragging him down into the the water. The silver tabby yowled in horror as he felt his feet sink into the dirt, "Help!". The Apprentice writhed, trying to get out. Open. |
