Needlekit huffed as she was put down, "I can walk." She protested, her tail waving behind her as a playful grin made it's way onto her face. "Dahliapetal, can I play with Eclipsekit?" The kit never truly felt like she would ever be able to call the kind she-cat whom had adopted her a mother but she'd never voice her worries.

The fluffy grey kit, nearly at apprentice age, looked around the nursery as she yawned. Flicking her tail she begun to groom her messy fur, trying to flatten it as much as she could. Shaking her head she felt the extra tuft of fur bounce into it's normal place. With a satisfied grunt she laid back down, her gaze still searching the nursery for Littlekit.

Littlekit was sleeping, his chest rose and fell at a steady rhythm, his breathing soft, quiet. He dreamed of running around, catching mice. It was interrupted with blood, it soaked the ground he walked upon, the rivers became red, all the plants died, the prey, no other life existed except for his. He began to shake, his green hues filled with terror, he swung his head around, hoping to spot his sister, nettlekit, wanting to make sure she's alive, well, alright. He screamed, hollered, yowled, but to no avail, he was alone, sinking slowly into the blood soaked ground.
He woke with a coughing fit, one that's plagued him for about two moons now, and it's gotten worse, he needed to see Ebonypaw very soon. The black and white tom spotted his sister looking at him, relief washed over him, she was alright, it was just a dream "I'm sorry I didn't wake you did I/" he asked, hoping that she didn't notice anything, he didn't want her to worry over him, but sadly she would be becoming an apprentice before him, unless his awful sickness went away soon.

Needlekit looked over at Littlekit and nudged him gently, "You ok? I heard you mewling in your sleep and I didn't know to wake you or not." The grey kitten winced as her brother coughed, "Littlekit... How do you feel?" The muscly patched kitten gave her brother another soft nudge and began to groom his ears, attempting to help him relax.
