"You saved my life. The least I could do is return the favour." The tabby continued pulling her, going faster now, as the water was rising even faster. |

The pretty she-cat glanced at the tom; his head drooped and didn't turn when he spoke. Her water-logged fur was also quite hard to work with, but Bearblaze seemed to be having the most trouble. "I'm fine, but Bearblaze, there's no way you'll make it through the whole way. We'll need to find somewhere to stop." She looked around frantically, beginning to panic when she saw there was nowhere unsubmerged by water. Nowhere to rest meant... Don't think that way! We'll get out of this alive! Fallenfeather shoved her panicking thoughts down until they were a tiny pick in her heart, leaving her with only confidence and sheer determination. She hoped. The molly stomped forwards through the water, not caring about her own tiredness. Bearblaze needs help, it's the least I can do to help him. Just then an underwater branch tripped Fallenfeather and she crashed into the neck-high water hard. The sharp fall into the floodwater knocked all the breath out of her, and, surprised, she tried to gasp in more, but found only water and mud and bubbles. She struggled against the pull of the current, her paws flailing and her chest heaving, now knowing that it was the end. Bearblaze wouldn't see her until it was too late, too tired to look up and notice the lack of her presence. Maybe.. maybe she'd see him from StarClan. Fallen started to let go. |

(open post!) Mountainpaw scrabbled his way to get his paws out of the slowly rising muddy water. The eight moon old apprentice wasn't really sure what to do with the situation. The fear and anxiety that was coming off all the warriors around him was sinking in though and he couldn't help but feel the same sense of panic. He'd never really had much experience with water, other than knowing his distance for the rain, he didn't know it could flood camps and put them all underwater. He let out a nervous meow, looking for some guidance of a warrior. Maybe they could help him with where they were going, all he knew was that they needed to go, and quickly. His shaggy brown coat stood on end as he trotted in the general direction of the other cats. Though for all he knew, he was going in circles. It seemed as though each larger cat was hurrying in their own direction, trying to find family members or kits. Like his siblings Mountainpaw had no parents here, not anymore... He wondered if his siblings were alright in the panic but he couldn't see or hear any of them. Hopefully he would learn that they were safe and sound too. |

Elmpaw purred," That should keep Dungpaw moving." He lowered his voice so Dungpaw couldn't hear," but I don't know if his friends will be welcoming or not." @Ever Silentshade was padding on making her way towards the Riverclan border in sorrow, she saw her littermate, Loudpounce floating dead she had stopped and buried him, her mate had fled in terror, leaving her, the expecting queen alone and upset in grief,"Don't worry little ones.." She whispered to her unborn kits,"I'll make sure you survive." She glanced up and saw a confused apprentice, Mountainpaw specially she meowed sadly,"Are you lost? Injured? Do you need help getting to Riverclan camp?" |

Goldeneye spotted a movement through the waves, and his head flicked towards it immediately. He swore he could see another cat's head. He automatically started to sprint towards it, his golden and green eyes wide. That was a queen, for sure, and that made Goldeneye freeze. He watched as the cat fell back under, and he reached down and grabbed the cat by the scruff of her neck. Hopefully he could help get the cat farther away from where it was deep, and back to where it was shallow. However, that was difficult, considering that he could tell the queen was pregnant with kits, suddenly, he made that his top priority, trying his best to lead the Queen over to where it was safer. |

Clawpaw was mainly focused on getting herself out of there. Fast. As fast as possible. Her long white pelt was getting soaked with water, mud, and turning a nasty shade of brown. "Need help?" Her voice was strained, and she stared at the younger cat. She was the older by at least four or five moons. She was twelve moons old now, old enough to be a warrior at this point, and she supposed the least she could do was help a clanmate out of here. Rare was the occasion when any mercy or sympathy was shown by the older apprentice but right now, what was needed was a way out of here. Everyone was struggling. If she and Mountainpaw were to stick together, they had a better chance of surviving. "Know what, regardless of whether you need it or not, stay beside me and do not - I repeat, do not run ahead or get left behind, understood?"Her voice was stern as though she were talking to a kit instead of an apprentice, but the fact that the water was rising had her in a full blown panic. She didn't want to die. Not here. And not like this. All that she could do was try to get herself and this other apprentice out of there safely and as quickly as possible... without getting themselves killed. |

(since I had two replies to this let me reply with my other kit from the same litter! Hope that's okay with you!) Tawnypaw looked at the queen with wide eyes in panic. For some reason the whole scenario seemed dreadfully familiar to her. She connected the same emotions and panic to the day her life was ruined and her family was torn from her side. Her black tabby pelt was raised uncomfortably as she splashed through the shallow water towards the concerned voice of who she recognized as Silentshade. "I- I could probably use some help." She said softly, getting close to the queen and looking for direction. She'd never been to Riverclan before and with the tensions that had been preexisting she hadn't bothered going near and neither had her mentor. She wondered where that salty cat was with a little irritation. Mostly her mind was a flurry of panic though as she thought of her siblings well-being briefly. |
