What if his kits grew up into rebellious Apprentices or Warriors because he couldn't be there all the time? So many questions with no answers upset him, but he kept a happy face on for Fernstream. "I hope I'm a good father. I bet you'll be an amazing mother." He purred. |

@Zesty Mango A shudder ran down Bumblebellys back, hard and fast like. Was it the feeling of fear? Expecting seven cats to come hit him at once? He watched a fish swim near, then come closer, then he swung his paw, watching it spin while it flung into the air. Yes! I- wait, no! He noticed it was too far away from the ground to fall there; it was still right over the water; it'd fall back in for sure! He jumped up to bite it, and when he did he felt water hit his fur. He had fallen into the pond grabbing the fish. He turned to Fernstream before climbing back up onto the grass, putting the fish down before he shook his fur. "Here's something as a thank you. I know I can't give you anything that's equally as great as kits like you will, but I just had to give you something." |

Featherbreeze hadnt shown when he first called but whatever, his call was loud enough to head across all the clearing and if she caught up she caught up, the medicine cat was just going to assume she was busy if she didnt turn up. He'd rather that then someone show up and disappear mid patrol or never report. Still everyone else had shown and with that he set off onto the territory.
"Right so Catmint is pretty self explanatory everyone should know that one, slightly fuzzy leaves smells super good and at this point the purple flowers should just be starting to bud. Small green bush with ridged smooth leaves, smells herby likes sunny patches of dirt. Finally and this is the most important one besides the catmint borage, smooth pointed oval leaves the stems and new buds are very fuzzy but we only need the leaves. We should find enough here so spread out to look if you need help just ask me." That should be enough explanation for the patrol to start on their search this was a fairly easy task. The non strenuous nature of this patrol (especially compared to the other herb patrol going after the honey) was the only reason the medicine cat felt comfortable bringing the newly one eyed Lotusheart on the task afterall, he really was kinda concerned about the warriors recovery. Not concerned enough to hover though and he padded off to inspect the nearby plants and bushes for his target. @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Starfall @rosetherosey |

The massive white cat nodded and turned around to search for the herbs. Hmm. She sniffed around in the gasses until a very pleasant smell caught her nose. After examining the plant she came to the conclusion that it was catmint. She bent down and plucked it from the ground with ease. The lovely scent filled her face and she purred. Bringing the catmint to the medicine cat, she set it down. "Catmint smells so good but it makes me feel so derp. " |

"That it does Lotusheart I have a strain of parania that one day I'll lose my entire supply to a kit that stumbles in and cant resist but if I ever have enough to spare one for no reason Im toying with using it as a bribery method."
Snakeheart wasnt that fussed about catmint but maybe that was because his sense of smell was ruined by the sheer amount of herbs he dealt with on a daily basis. Everything just kinda smelled like plant nowadays. Still he padded along eyes low until he came across the plant he wanted leaving Lotusheart to manage her catmint and (hopefully) find more, the warrior being so large did mean she should be able to carry a lot right? "Ah here it is, borage, just like Coldamber promised it'd be." The herb was strange, fuzzy stemmed with pretty blue flowers but Snakeheart didnt reflect on that much before he fleeced the entire plant. They had catmint, they had borage, now if Nightpaw could just find and pick some burnet they'd be set regardless of whatever Rowanmist did where-ever she disappeared off too. Ah well he liked her enough not to raise a fuss unless she just ditched the patrol entirely. @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Starfall |

Lotusheart followed her nose around. She was kind of terrified that she'd step on some herb and ruin it on accident. Well, better that all the times I'd step on someone's tail. She scented the pleasant smell from behind a tree. She carefully plucked it and resisted the temptation of just flopping on her back and sunning herself to sleep. She took it back to the pile and looked around for some more plants. Snakeheart had not specified what the second plant's name was but she spotted a bush in the sun, with ridged smooth leaves just like the one he'd described.
"I found some...this?" she called out. |

Rowanmist @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Rani @rosetherosey (I'd appreciate it if ya'll started mention me as well so I know where we're at with the patrol instead of just Rani mentioning me.) The Tabby tagged along behind, a distraught smile, ignored completely. Though it looked like the lot of them were having fun, which is why he didn't feel too terribly sad about it. If they didn't want him there they could have told him, however, it would have made him feel a little better. The Maine Coon mix shuffled around to one of the green patches, off more west of the group. Nose wiggling as his smile brightened at the thought of soon to be flowers. Sitting himself down he began to hum, gently plucking any budding plants he could find. he didn't know which one's were correct and which weren't. However his search for Catmint turned out to be that of a hunt for Burnet as he spotted one in the budding flowers. Once he picked a few, some wilted, some simply very small. But he felt somewhat pleased with himself. He made his way back to the group, popping out through a bush with a sheepish grin, flowers of all colors and shapes hung from his pelt. "I don't know if you all still wanted me here...but I found a few Burnet. Not much tho." he added the last part with an even softer voice. |

"Thats burnet Lotusheart grab that and you can either take your catmint and that back to camp or hang around until we all can head home. Take a break seriously I dont want you straining yourself too much, a bundle of catmint and burnet from you will be more then enough. And Nightpaw I think thats borage, hard to see from where I am but fleece it and we can head back in a bit."
Snakeheart himself was plucking two leaves of catmint he found on a random bush but leaving most of it in case he needed to come back and get more later. He had his bundle at this point the patrol just needed to wrap up and they were set to head back to camp. Ah and there was Rowanmist, good she wasnt being mauled somewhere unbeknownst to everyone. "There you are I was beginning to get worried." The medicine cat snarked not without a thread of sincerity. Rowanmist was one of the cats he actually liked and he'd been a little bit ruffled the older tom had seemingly not shown up. "I hardly mind you here, just thought you'd decided to look for herbs on your own. We're just wrapping up for the most part, though be aware youve got some.... everything on your pelt." Fairly typical behaviour from the maine coon for the most part all told. @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Starfall |

Lotusheart lifted an eyebrow, though the cats probably couldn't tell since it was covered by cobwebs. She wasn't straining herself. It was just some plants and lotusheart was like, twice the size of most cats so she could carry quite a lot. "It's fine, don't worry about having to heal me again, you're probably sick of me going to the medicine den." she mewed jokingly as she collected her little herb pile. |

Rowanmist @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Rani Letting out a soft laugh he ungracefully pulled himself from the bush he was laying upon. "I appreciate the concern." he hummed after he was finally free, the last word jumbled up a bit as he stumbled forwards. The possibility of a cat that big squashing someone would be a bit of a concern. Thankfully he quickly regained his balance and sat himself down roughly. "Oh, I did after a bit yes." he chirped, a bright smile adorning the tom's features. It made him happy to hear that one of his patrol mates didn't mind his presence. It made him feel somewhat wanted, maybe he'd go see Goosefury after this. Tail thwacking against the ground, the russet tom looked down at his pelt once it was pointed out he had at least half of the territory in it. More than just the flowers he'd gently placed in there, now there was a good few bits of cattails and grass blades as well. Letting out a laugh he looked over to Snakeheart, "Some of it was planned, the rest was a surprise. Would we need the cattails for anything?" he hummed thoughtfully, the last sentence more of a whisper to himself than anything. |

"Hmm I suppose it is strange to worry given youre twice my size. Though given how you've been seemingly defeated by a bush maybe its warranted." He was half joking here. Seriously he lived on herbs as his bread and butter but the medicine cat didnt understand the draw of having plants in your pelt but Rowanmist was an odd one.
"And as much as I'd love to have a new herb to use.... I really cant think of how I use cattails. We should be heading back to camp though. Everyone wrap up and gather your stuff lets head home!" And with that Snakeheart grabbed his bundle and set off naturally expecting the others to follow. (Right so everyone make there addition post to the herb storage with the type and amount of herbs you gathered linking back to the collection post!) @Shade. @Kunaiskrill @Starfall |

Cool water swept across dark fur, Rapidwhisker’s shape barely slowed by the plants that had taken over the pond as she pushed herself deep into the water. She dove in, relishing the feeling of swimming regardless of the lack of current- but honestly, the word diving didn’t seem to properly demonstrate her movement. With a pelt slick from endless swims and a body low to the ground like a snake, she could have been more aptly described as slipping soundlessly under the surface and rocketing into the algae. Graceful, but a little disgusting to some who would rather not spend their time picking damselfly larvae from their coats after a quick dip. Rapidwhisker didn’t mind it, having no qualms with the interesting little bugs around. Others? Not so much. Rapidwhisker did have a reason, though; being saturated in the gooey plant matter was what made her fur so suited for swimming when it dried! Congealing granted her a tough pelt, slicked back fur, and the gorgeous, unmoving sheen it had. ...Of course it was also perpetually slimy or crusted to the touch, but sharing nests wasn’t her thing anyways- she had no care what others thought about her pelt’s texture. The she-cat surfaced much less elegantly than she had submerged, splashing upwards and inhaling voraciously before settling into a steady paddle with her head above the water. She looked pleased, not terrified, as she guided herself to the bank and sat down in the shallows. She was silently praising the distance she travelled, quite pleased with herself indeed. Regardless of the pondweed whipping at her, or the clouds of liquid goo housing hundreds of tadpoles in her path, Rapidwhisker had made it further than ever in a single lunge- marginally further, just a few cattails past her previous best, but an improvement nonetheless! The nip in the air had her tail in a twist when she woke up. All her favourite fish were even gone from the fresh kill pill! But after refreshing herself and having some fun, the warrior was quite looking forward to a day out hunting, previous annoyances brushed off. It was even beginning to warm up, the sun rising past the distant and casting a soft glow on her water-laden form. Gazing down, her reflection in the calm water almost akin to a cat of StarClan. Water truly did hold the strongest connection to the night sky, both being an extension of Silverpelt through the night and bringing stars in the form of sunlit droplets during the day... she once again found herself musing this over, wondering as always how other clans got by without appreciating such a strong link to the ancestors. How a cat could be bothered by the idea of poking their toes into something so precious was absurd to her! Shaking her head to clear it of that thought and the droplets dragging down her whiskers, the she-cat stood and padded into the reeds, well aware continuing that train of thought would just annoy her once more. The more important thing to mull over was whether she would stay and track the bullfrogs she’d heard the night before, or do some proper fishing in the river like she’d been itching to since missing her morning meal. |

[rapidwhisker] Rapidwhisker gave the closest she could get to a ‘mrrow’ of surprise at the appearance of her clanmate; widening her eyes and looking a tad shocked. She watched Shinestone carefully as the other she-cat padded towards her, turning curiously to face the queen with her body rather than just her muzzle before dipping her head to match the greeting. “’Morning.” She meowed simply, beginning to feel curious as to what the silvery cat was doing out of camp this early and away from her litter. Then again, Rapidwhisker had no way of knowing what kits were like; this was likely a normal and cathartic thing for mothers to do, not something for a young cat like her to call into question. With that settled, she turned her dark eyes back to the pond for a moment to scan the surface. It’d be awful rude to leave for the river at this point, as timing would make it seem that she was leaving to avoid being around Shinestone, so her morning would likely be spent looking for frogs. Not a bad thing by any means- in all honesty fish would probably be easier to see around sunhigh rather than dawn- though she still couldn’t stop thinking about biting into some delicious scaley morsels the second she was back at camp |

Snowstripe sat waiting for rippleheart to get back from whatever he was doing she hopped that he had not forgotten about their hunting trip at the pond. She sat there grooming her paws. @Minty
