Re: ShadowClan Clearing
@Willowfern
[This is a starter post for Spiderwebpaw’s hunting lesson. It takes place after Spiderwebpaw’s settled into the apprentice den, if you have/want to roleplay that out. Feel free to respond whenever. I’ll bump you for it every week unless you tell me you don’t want to do it anymore. Once this lesson is over I’ll immediately post a starter for another lesson just to keep things going. I’ve never trained an apprentice before so if I’m doing something wrong, or if there’s something I could be doing better let me know!:)] ~Robinleaf~ “Spiderwebpaw!” The redish molly looked around the clearing for her new apprentice. He had seemed excited about starting his training so she wanted to start as soon as possible. Especially with the new, necessary, restrictions. The longer he stays motivated the better. Robinleaf’s mind raced as she tried to decide what moves were easier beginner moves. What move did I learn first? She couldn’t remember. It had been so long ago. Decide quickly! Well mice were the easiest. She’d teach him the proper stalking method to hunt a mouse. |

~Hummingbirdkit~ The fluffy kit stepped outside the nursery nervously. She immediately began shivering. When did it get so cold! She looked around at the clearing lightly covered in mist. Be strong Hummingbirdkit! Only strong kits get to play outside. She walked decidedly away from the nursery, and up to another kit. She had heard his name mentioned a few times. Oddkit? Oatkit? Opalkit? She couldn’t remember! Did that make her a bad cat? She’d just have to pick one. “Hi Oatkit! I’m Hummingbirdkit. Want to play?” Her voice was soft and almost impossible to hear. |

At first Oak’Kit hadn’t noticed hummingbird’kit, she had said his name wrong after all. But after a moment he noticed her presence. “Oh? Did you say something?” he asked, turning to face her. He tilted his head, tail curling into a curious question mark, as he continued to bounce the mossball between his paws, gentler this time as to pay attention to the small kit. |

He didn’t hear me! I need to speak louder! Strong kits talk loudly. She shuffled her paws. What if she had gotten his name wrong. I don’t have to say his name I already have his attention! She’d forgotten that. She cleared her throat. “Hi I’m Hummingbirdkit! Do you want to play!” With much effort the white kit was able to raise her voice to a normal volume. She lashed her tail from side to side, proud of herself. |

Oh right! Oakkit! That was it. She was glad he hadn’t heard her get it wrong. Mossball! I love mossball! The small white molly purred excitedly. “Yes! I’d love to play mossball!” This time she didn’t have to try to make her voice normal volume. It did that on its own fueled by her excitement. Suddenly the cold didn’t seem like that big of a deal. |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
“Okay!” Oak’Kit purred at Hummingbird’kits excitement and stepping back to swat the mossball over to his new friend “try and stop it from hitting the ground!” he called, tail flicking playfully behind him.
