Augustus wondered why he hadn't seen her around the Dusk Syndicate. He knew her only as the ShadowClan warrior, and he struggled to adjust to the fact that she lived within the same group of cats as he. ``Mm?`` He purred, rocking back on his haunches. There was a teasing glint in his vibrant eyes which favored green more than yellow. He brought his right forepaw to his mouth, drawing his rough tongue over it. When his paw was firmly pressed against the ground again, he continued to speak. ``For a Dusk Syndicate cat, you surely don't know your way around.`` His tone was light with amusement. He swiveled his head around, making a show of searching the area. ``That's okay. As a kitten, your brain is still developing. Any kit could lost in such a place.`` Augustus was quick to jump from topic to topic, something he'd always done in a pathetic attempt to distract the cat from throwing back a retort. He was a talkative cat, a social butterfly. He even welcomed sharp responses. In fact, he had once gotten into a unique conversation with a she-cat. They had been testing each other with rude remarks to see who would attack first. ``Jinx, you say? You're bad luck, then? No wonder ShadowClan's great leader was brutally murdered. Blazingnight made the mistake of training you, of keeping you in her Clan. Ah, she didn't know what she was signing herself up for. You deceitful little minx,`` Augustus chuckled cheerfully, waving his thin tail against the ground. ``Luckily, I myself am bad luck. And two negatives make a positive!`` |

Eagle nodded. "I understand. You have a duty to the fellow members of Dusk Syndicate. I will try to remain here until you decide to return," she said sweetly, feigning forgiveness to the handsome tom. She got up and nuzzled him, licking his shoulder a bit. "Do come back soon," she added quietly. She went to the back of the cave and decided to lay down for a while. She had been traveling for days it felt like, so the she-cat was slightly glad the tom was leaving. She'd finally be able to get some sleep. Hopefully, he'd come back later, or tomorrow even. 'Delvin isn't quite the tom I expected to come across who is involved in the Dusk Syndicate. Maybe instead of hitting and quitting, I'll stick around a while. He definitely seems worth my time,' she thought, watching the tom through seductive eyes. |

"Of course we'll be able to beat them! It's not like we're some mangy kittypets, huh? I'm sure we've got this in the bag." Eris exclaimed, walking alongside her friend nonchalantly as her paws padded through the grasses, her blue eyes scanning the area as she smiled. Of course, she was only a fighter, and it wasn't like she had as much strain on her own shoulders as Boreas carried. Really, she was much more chatty and extroverted than her best friend, but she didn't mind it- being opposites actually felt refreshing, when she could cheer Boreas up and the fellow molly could help get her to snap out of her rather playful moods. "It's not as if we're clan cats, always intent on giving mercy and all that jazz- we'll be able to run through this in no time." |

Delvin smiled nervously, and nodded. He began to pad out of the cave, hoping he'd have some chance to sneak away before day. He didn't want her all alone in the cave. This was a little bit because he didn't trust her, but mostly because he wanted to see her again. He looked over his shoulder at her as he drew the hanging moss curtain back over the entrance. Quickly, he returned to camp. |

Boreas chuckled, acknowledging Eris, with a nod. "Were, of course, not kittypets, if anything, were quite feared, at most, and very vicious, and I'm, quite glad for that." She told the molly proudly. The molly's claws scraped at the dirt and undergrowth as she walked, Boreas didn't think of the strain of leadership at all. It wasn't really a strain to her, but it was, to a point, but she, honestly, took it quite easy, and well. As they walked, she gave a nod to Eris's comment, a smile on her maw. "We are certainly not like the clans, and never will be, mercy is for the weak, and I would never, ever, use it term, ever." The co-commander replied firmly, eyes glowering in disgust at the mention of the clans. The clans were vile, very. vile, and she wouldn't dream of being like them. But, that anger and disgust was a bit short lived, as she looked toward Eris, with a smile. "As quick as a mouse, I suppose. Rogues are quite easy, if you know what your doing." She informed her calmly, trudging through the forest as she spoke, eyes glowing in the darkness of the area. |

[Triggered xD] Jinx let out a small huff, fluffing out her chest, her hues brimming with defiance. She didn't care how big and tall he was, she'd show no fear towards anyone. "I'm new here, got it? I'm learning, I'm sorry your dark forest looks the same everywhere you go," she replied, her voice was tart and however much she tried to seem stern, she knew she had no advantages in a territory she was still learning. The young fighter flicked her tail to and fro, listening to the rest of what this feline had to say. She didn't speak as Augustus let a silence draw between them. At the brash words, her hues lit up a flame and the fur along her spine bristled. How dare he! Jinx bit her tongue and merely dug her claws into the ground. There was no use trying to cause a fight here, although she'd love to rip her claws across the tom's muzzle at that moment. "Don't you speak of Blazingnight in such a manner, she accomplished more in her leadership than your scrawny self could in your lifetime. Seeing as your family disappears when they're called to take responsibility, I'd have to say you've no room to talk. Where's little ol' Renn when the group needed him?" the ebony she-cat mustered to say. It was bitter, however it was calm although her facial expression showed much more emotion. She could care less, if this cat wanted to start a war with her, she'd jump right into it. "Besides, I don't wish to make a positive with a cat who insults an honorable cat," she snorted. Finally the sturdy young feline sat down and wrapped her slender tail around her paws. This shielded the sight of her claws, although her ears were still pinned slightly back. She wasn't as joyous as Augustus appeared to be. She'd much rather find her way back to the camp at that moment and he wasn't going to be of any help at this rate. Jinx simply awaited his response, wondering if she'd amused him more or hit a soft spot. Who knew. She didn't care in the least bit. |

[ xD I already love these two ] Augustus displayed a genuine, bright smile when she gave him just what he wanted. He was a cat who lived off the sharp retorts of others, and Jinx was gullible enough to feed him. However, he did experience a piercing stab in his heart when she mentioned Renn. After all, he'd been spending moons trying to recover from his littermate's disappearance. And here comes `little ol` Jinx, destroying all that hard work. His tail-tip was the only sign that her comment about Renn effected him, but his tail swiftly quit giving away his feelings. He chuckled at her, pawing at the ground in front of him before responding. ``Whoa,`` He drawled, his eyes gleaming with sincere amusement. ``Chill, little kitty - doesn't everybody have a right to their own opinions?`` Augustus coolly lowered his head to meet his rising paw where he drew his tongue over it. When his paw was once more against the ground, he raised his head high. ``Alright, alright. I'll be honest. I met Blazingnight once, and I truly liked her. She let me and my companion stay within ShadowClan's border for a few sunrises.`` Which is how I remembered you. ``I respect her, even after death. And now I must know if you respect my brother.`` Augustus' eyes were still light, but his tone grew serious as it sometimes would when the topic of his missing, considered-to-be-deceased littermate came up. He held a certain form of anger towards those who spoke negatively of Renn, often planning a way to get back at them for it in the most unexpected ways. Kin was important, and Augustus planned to do anything possible to keep the name and spirit of his brother alive. |
