Amberpaw ran up. She’d been a bit late but it seemed like teams weren’t being picked yet, which made her hopeful.

Huffing and puffing, Morningpaw bolted towards the group (last minute of course!) She couldn't believe she almost missed such a fun-sounding event! She was ready to do some teamwork.
"Sorry for being late, I was caught up in stuff." She laughed apologetically towards Fishspeckle.
Looking over, she caught sight of who else but Smokepaw! Bounding over to her brother, she spoke to him.
"Smokepaw!" She greeted. "You looking for something? Are you playing too?"

After assigning the teams, Fishspeckle called for them to all gather ‘round,
“Alright! Get associated with your teams now! We’ll be explaining this event in further depth after you all have gotten to know one another!”

Okay so, Lilypaw and...wait a second, one of the new apprentices? She hadn't paid much attention at the last meeting, but a NEW apprentice made her feel jipped. Whatever, if she'd complain, she'd get a lecture, so may as well find these two. "Lilypaw? Fawnk-paw?" she almost called him a kit by accident. "You two are on my team, so hurry up, I hate waiting." She usually kept others waiting, so it was odd she was saying this.

Fishspeckle had the teams all figured out, she had still been counting the number of cats! Impressed, Splashleap listened attentively, mind ticking through who everyone was and what she knew about them. It really wasn't much. Feeling she should contribute as well, she called Once you've found your team, get by a stick! her tail swirling excitedly behind her. This was going to be so fun! It would be easier to makes sure everyone was together and distribute the logs if the teams had some distance between them.

Morningpaw and Frostwish, huh? He hadn't really associated with either warrior before, so the gray tabby swung his head around to try and pick them out in the crowd. Hopefully they wanted to win just as badly as he did.
