XDD No sweat, man. -- (Goodnight!) "Unfortunately." Ebonymist sighed, shaking her head. "Whatever, it doesn't matter. I'll keep my distance from Crowblood, and that'll be the end of that. Maybe I'll work on the camp, I don't want to be cooped up." She snorted, before they finally finished their climb. Placing Lucky on a large rock free of mud, Ebonymist stretched out. "I'm going back to fetch more of Daypaw's patients. I'll need help." She smiled at Moonsplash. "Care to help a girl out?" "Go on Splashie, I'll be fine up here. I'll keep an eye on Lucky and the others as they come up." Echoskip piped up. @Charmer |

Amberstorm crept out of the camp and glanced around, rain still blocking much of her vision. However, she spotted a silhouette not too far up ahead. "I can see a nearby slope!" she answered to Whitestep. "It looks just high enough to get us out of the worst of the mud and flooding." Hearing the commotion behind her she turned around and peered through the camp entrance once more. "Are you alright, Whitestep? Do you need help?" |

Blackfrost was tense, her claws sinking into the soft earth beneath her and gritting her teeth together as Crowhawk prepared to make the leap of faith for the root. She quickly went to the edge and watched as he dug into the root, seeming to gather the strength and courage to climb up and onto the safe ground above where she stood now. Once he joined the long-furred warrior at her side, she could see how exhausted he was and she wished that they could just rest here for awhile, but it was far from safe here. Blackfrost nuzzled her mate, giving his ears a soft lick of comfort as they stood there for a quiet moment. He was right, they needed to keep moving before something happened or if they were even left behind. As if the world was making the decision for them, the she-cat’s ears perked up at crumbling sound beneath them and the dirt under her paws began to shift. With all the mud and wet earth, the overhang that they stood on was breaking loose, ready to crumble into the debris-filled waters below where they had just escaped. “Move!” Blackfrost said and shoved the male forward, sending the two of them deeper into the woods as the ground that they had just stood on fell out and into the raging waters that was still raging on with the strong current that it still had. |

Blackfrost laid there in the dampened grass in silence for a few moments, her eyes closed and deepened breaths slipping from her parted jaws. She was exhausted and her heart thumped so hard that it hurt and she just wanted to rest here, just for a little while longer, but to her dismay, there was danger around every corner in this forest with the flood. “No problem.” The warrior murmured, heaving herself to her paws with a tired huff coming from her, “As your mate, it’s my job to make sure you don’t get killed, silly bee-brain.” A lighthearted chuckle came from the she-cat as she lifted her head and looked towards the woods, seeing cats fleeing rather fast towards unknown land, following their higher ranked. “You’re right though, we need to keep moving before it gets away worse than it already is.” She said and placed herself beside Crowhawk, “Here, lean against me and I’ll guide you through this, okay? I can see that you’re in pain.” |

"I'll stay by you for as long as you need, okay? I promise. I'll be by you as much as I can, for as long as you want me to." He wanted to make the small she-cat feel safe, and he hoped that the presence of her best friend would help with that. He hated that he knew the cat he was closest to was hurting like this and he couldn't just make it vanish. He felt almost helpless in that aspect, and would do whatever was needed to help Newtpaw with whatever she was feeling. When she'd jumped at his words, he couldn't feel more horrible. Maybe if he'd made to her earlier than he had; followed the voice the first time.... No, he couldn't begin to think like that again. He couldn't blame himself, either. Newtpaw wouldn't want that. He knew it was neither of theur faults, so there was no one to blame. All he could do was help her in any and every way he could, which he certainly planned on doing. |
Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
(This happened earlier but it didn't post eek sorry moonheart) Redfoot's wounds stung as she climbed onto a log just barely able to hold her weight as she breathed deeply, attempting to calm herself. Her fur was drenched in murky water, and her eyes burned from trying to open them underwater. Her legs felt no stronger than twigs as she found her balance on the feeble log, scanning her surroundings as she was rushed around with the violent current. She didn't notice when the waves crashed into her, breaking apart the log. She clung onto a tree root that was poking out of the water, in shock from the impact. She knew more wounds had been created as she scraped her pelt against the tree root. She noticed a large tree branch hanging low from a nearby tree. She knew it wouldn't end up well, but it was her best option. She used all of her muscles to jump onto the tree branch. She noticed the water slowly rising and realised she didn't have much time. She leapt to a farther branch before noticing a small hill where the water hadn't reached. She took a deep breath before leaping from branch to branch, cringing as they cracked from her weight, before finally landing in the muddy ground. @MoonHeart & Friends |

Blackfrost gave her mate a softened smile, nuzzling him once more now that she knew that they were out of harm’s way once more. “We both have each other’s backs.” She purred, “Until the end of time, never forget that.” The long-furred warrior gave a small sigh, looking out at the clan that was growing farther and farther away from them and she blinked at Crowhawk when he refused her offer of helping him, but she chose not to argue and nodded to his words, licking his muzzle with a little purr before stepping forward and walking through the forest, following the scent-trail of their fellow Shadowclan members as they fled danger that had struck in their own home. |
Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
Owlswoop was panting slightly once he had reached a rock, and he looked around him, seeing other cats silhouettes, but too afraid to move towards any of them. So, instead the tom just looked around him, the falling rain impacting his vision greatly. Why did this happen..? He couldn't help gut wonder as he squinted. A part of the dark tabby tom knew that it was just weather, and it was the most logical thing.
But, on the other paw, another part of him thought for some, maybe weird reason, that it actually might of meant something. He sighed, frowning. He hated getting his whole pelt wet. Well. I can't do anything about it now. (Open) |

@starfall @woly The broken molly walked with a limp but was obviously pushing to keep going. Marshfur's mind was completely blank, she wasn't thinking of just trying to put one foot in front of the other, she wasn't thinking about her family, she was just completely empty, hollow. She couldn't even feel her feet moving in front of one another, more or less just feeling the pain of the scraps on her ankles and paw pads. That's the only way she knew she was moving. She tried to think, but she couldn't, just crawling up the hill, barely freeing herself from the cold grip the icy blackness had on her, somehow making it up the hill before it did before the water did. She was so exhausted, she wanted to just pass out, she was basically half awake on her feet. Marshfur swayed and stumbled forward, barely able to keep filling her lungs with air. She almost fell a few times, but she kept going, some weird force of will egging her on, when only a moment ago it had wanted her to stand in the violent torrents of water and let it eat her whole like a snake that caught its prey. |

Looking around her at the water splashing up against the rocks and other ShadowClan cats fleeing the camp, the the bengal molly, Spottedfern, knew she had to save her kits from a terrible end, and, as a mother, would fight to make them live. Spottedfern grabbed her kit by the scruff and swung the precious fur bundle onto her back. Looking around, she saw that time was running out, the floodwaters slowly rising. She grabbed her other kit by the soft neck fur and mumbled through a mouthful of fur, "Dig your claws in, Honeykit." She braced herself for thorn sharp claws that would dig into her back at her order. The kit in her jaws was Lynxkit, a tufty eared cat that would grow to be a formidable fighter, with her large paws and sharp teeth. But the mother wouldn't underestimate Honeykit, she too was quick and agile. Spottedfern was weighed down by the water soaking her long fur and her kits. But the bengal she-cat refused to give up, and kept swimming, her strong paws wading through the water. RiverClan does this everyday! The she-cat thought in shock. Despite the circumstances, though, she curled her lip at the thought of the sleek-furred RiverClan warriors who thought eating fish was normal.

@starfall Daypaw glanced at Morningpath. He was being hypocritical. Of course Daypaw knew what it was like to not be able to save a cat, they were a medcat of all things. They watched their father die infront of them. They knew. They pushed past that for right now though, instead staying at Marshfurs side and having her lean on their shoulder for support if needed. She looked like a dead girl walking. Daypaw couldnt read her expression at all, and it kind of scared the enby for a second. They were almost up the hill. Their shoulders heaved, they were so tired. They wanted to close their eyes and passout. They wanted to drop and slide down into the dark muddy water to rest. But something stopped them, and that was the top of the hill. Quote:
Daypaws heart lurched. They didnt know where the kits mother was, they didnt even know their name. For all Daypaw knew Lambkit didnt have family. "It'll be okay Lambkit, we just have to make it up this hill, okay?" They werent the best at comforting cats, especially kits, but they came up with words on the spot. "When we get to the top..uh.." they paused, feeling the feathers still in their mouth,"we'll share this bird together, I'll dry you off and we'll eat something. Just think about that right now." They dug their claws into the muddy hil as they climbed up. Rain poured down over them, they shivered slightly. Their fur clung close to them, they could barely see the top of the hill with all of this rain. It seemed foggy almost, a grey mist that blocked everything in view. It was loud, the constant ringing of Thunder and rain in the enbys ears it made them want to cover them. But they stood strong, despite how tired they were. They were sleep deprived, eyes heavy as they blinked away the water in their eyes. Their shouldered heaved as they pulled themselves upwards, giving out shaky breaths. But they stood tall. They would not let Starclan take their life, torment them again and their clan and win. They took another step upwards. |

Lambkit tried to think about the meal. He tried to drown out the sounds. Those sounds, they were what filled him with fear. Screams for help, people calling family members that never made it up the hill, thunder and lightening crashing, colliding with the other sounds. The storm tried to drown the sounds along with the makers. He thought about this, and more fear filled him. Mud splashed on him, and he could feel the rain hitting harder, the wind howling like a wolf, and it seemed to answer itself back. The storm found prey, aemd it was his clan. |
Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
It happened so quickly. Pinepaw hadn't even had time to think, she only acted. She was so caught up in the moment and confused at the sudden commotion. Shivers went down her spine as she replayed the announcement over and over again. Attention Shadowclan! Evacuate the camp emmidiatley, I repeat take action immediately! or something like that. Cats were rushing around them, yowling, pushing. The water was up to her sides. Pinepaw's bright ginger pelt now dulled by the rain into a dark brown-red colour. Every few steps, her paws would get trapped in the mud. Pinepaw turned to her brothers, Cedarpaw, Boulderpaw and Beechpaw. "Don't do anything just yet. We should wait for Wolfpaw and Rockkit...then we can all leave together." Cedarpaw commanded but Beechpaw looked worried "What about Ashkit and Rainpaw? Can we go with them too? " He asked. Pinepaw's brothers were much stronger and taller than her so the water only went up to their forelegs. Then Boulderpaw finally spoke up "I spoke to Wolfpaw just before this. He told me he was going out into the territory with Rockkit for I don't know what reason...Pinepaw, you were training with Rainpaw right? I assume you know where she is?"
"Yes," Their sister replied "We got back to camp just in time. Once we heard, she said she'd run and find Ashkit and we can leave together. Although she looked...uncertain...about something." Water splashed in Pinepaw's face as she anxiously kneaded the mud with her paws. "I'm sure it's just nerves ..." Boulderpaw reassured her. OPEN |

The grey apprentice took a deep breath then went under the murky rainwater. Feeling around with his paws, Wolfpaw found a rock partially covering a hole in the ground. That's what her paw was caught in. He removed the rock being careful not to scrape the kit. Only a few scratches...now air... he thought. Wolfpaw swam up. "You're free now. Come on, we need to get you out and to safety. Tell me, where are your parents? Or your siblings? I suggest the first thing you do is find them but if you can't, I'll take you somewhere better than this, okay? Sound like a deal?" He tried to be friendly but couldn't help the small commanding, serious tone in his voice. Wolfpaw took the she-kit in his jaws, dripping wet, and placed her gently on a half submerged rock. |

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
@Shadomaru
His question made her pause for a moment and think - where would they go now that their home was submerged in water? The long-furred warrior knew not where they would go nor what would come for the fate of Shadowclan themselves. Blackfrost shook her head and looked back at the camp, seeing dens collapse under the force of the water and heavy branches move through the current rather quickly. She then looked to her mate, knowing as much as she did about their future fate. “I don’t know.” The warrior replied, honest with the male, “Though, judging on the direction we’re heading, I think we’ll be staying with Riverclan for awhile since the water disperses.” Blackfrost quickened her pace, mud sliding in between her paws and making the warrior slip and slide every now and then because of the rushed pace she was after to catch up with her clan. “Let’s not worry about that now though, we have each other and that’s what’s important.” She said in hope to reassure her mate's idle worrying and concern, “We’ll get through this, together. We’re warriors and we don’t let something like this get us down.”@Fawn The small apprentice did not know how to properly respond to her friend’s words of comfort and promise, though she did lift her head slightly to peer at him with unanswered questions lurking within her eyes. Would he hold to his word in the end or would something happen and she would lose him like everyone before him? Newtpaw knew, deep down, that she shouldn’t be thinking like this, especially now of all times. “I believe you.” She finally decided to say to Lionpaw, but did not look at him when doing so, “Come on, we don’t want to get left behind.” The horrifying images and feelings that swarmed her mind made the apprentice want to collapse right then and there, but she couldn’t - not now, not yet. There was no time for rest, nor was it time to feel sorry for herself. She shook her head, attempting to get those terrible sensations out of her thought process, and quickened her pace, moving through the grass rather quickly as her heart pounded in her chest. Newtpaw glanced behind her to look at her best friend only once, hoping that he would follow. For now, all she could do was hope that he would keep to his every word.(OPEN FOR RESCUE) Now that Bumbledawn had gotten to safety, Pinewhisker clung to dear life as his grip on the floating branch was slipping. The murky, strong current was seeming to latch onto his fur, mustering all the force and strength to take him down with it. The young warrior was shaking from the cold, filthy water that soaked his short, brown fur and it stung his eyes, preventing him from properly seeing everything. His eyes widened in horror as cats flailed in the water, being dragged away by the current past him and the tom-cat reached out, wanting to help them, but alas, it was much too late for him to do anything now. The sound of something moving made his ears perk and he turned his head, only to look on in horror and surprise as a large mass of tree branches came rushing towards him in the water and slammed into him, causing Pinewhisker to slip from his hold and his whole body went under, tumbling through the darkened waters as he was thrown against rocks and branches alike, the tom-cat opened to jaws to scream out for help, but only filthy water flooded his mouth and made the tom-cat want to throw-up in disgust and for lack of air in his lungs. He desperately flailed his paws, hoping to find the surface of the water and to his luck, his head broke through the surface and he took the moment to utter a chilling yowl of distress. “Somebody, help me!” Pinewhisker shrieked, his tone straggled by the lack of air that was coming to him and the exhaustion in his system. He soon went under again, crashing into the bottom of the watery depths and his eyes widened as one of his back legs got trapped within some stones around the bottom of the flood waters, trapping him under the surface. He thrashed violently in order to get free, but his body was already so weak from fighting from before and for once, the warrior thought that he wasn’t going to make it. |

@Constellation @Fern Creampaw A cry of his name and his siblings touched the toms ears. He ran towards it. "Dad!" he called. "Dad!" Creampaw was sure the voice was his dads. The second voice calling out to his dad must have been Ashpaw. "Ashpaw! Dad!" he called, adding his brothers name. "I'm here!" Creampaw was sure his father was terrified that he couldn't find his family. The truth was, Creampaw was to. Where was his mother, heavy with his siblings? Where was Ambercrackle? As Creampaw got closer to his father, he called out his fathers real name. "Quietdance! Dad!" Gingerpaw @Chameleon The ginger tabby apprentice ran with all the speed her little legs could muster. Why had the flood happened? Gingerpaw knew floods were created when there was too much rain. But it felt like StarClan to was weeping for them. What was Gingerpaw going to do? She couldn't find any cats she cared about. Rubyclaw? Blarepaw? Neither. Suddenly her gaze feel on two apprentices she had never seen before. Gingerpaw rushed toward them (Sagegrowl) Sagegrowl looked around, where was Rosekit? Her little kit? Her mate had died a while ago, not because of the flood. But what if she lost Rosekit too? Sagegrowl kept running, her gaze frantically raking the place around her. This was awful. First her mate. Then the flood. Then Rosekit? What was StarClan doing to her? @CandyFlossCat (Rosekit is yours) Marblesky Marbelsky ran. her paws skidded on everything around her. Stones. Puddles. Everything was stopping her from getting somewhere safe. Water lapped at her heels. At least it felt like that. Her eyes were wide with horror. Wildpaw burried her face in the Warrior's fur, doing her best to stop crying and get warm. -- @Lunacross @Wyldfire {I guess we should start here since this is the evacuation} Rain poored harder on her pelt, Mistytuft looked around. Mistytuft had to help the clan, male or female. She looked at Onionpaw, pressing to his side. "Dig your claws in the mud so you don't slip and get in front of me. I'll get you if you fall." (Open) Sunmist's paws splashed through water as he desperately searched for his adoptive kit, Shadekit. Where is he? As soon as he could, the tom had rushed to the nursery, but it appeared that the queens had been a step ahead of him and already had almost everyone out. The remaining cats were already being helped. The large tom took in a shaky breath and told himself he would have to assume Shadekit was fine as he trudged through the territory. The never stopping rainfall only served to make him colder, and his puffy fur had become plastered to his side. He was thoroughly soaked, and shivers were wracking his body. Sunmist could only assume that smaller cats were faring even worse than him, and a pang of concern went through him for the kits and apprentices. His eyes did a quick sweep of the territory around him, searching for any cat in need of assistance. The tom was determined to help as much as he could in his clan's time of need. |
