Warblermoon padded out of the warrior's den, rolling his shoulders to relieve any tension from them. It was pretty early, ve noted as ver eyes glanced up to the sky above ver. He always preferred waking up early, as it allowed him to do more throughout the day for the clan.

Speaking of which, he should probably head out soon to hunt and patrol the territory. He was an enforcer, after all. He wouldn't dare slack off on such an important job.

Nightlight sat, nestled between a rock and a bush. The only visible feature from the black cat was his eyes, one blue and one green, illuminating the shadow. He just sat there, staring into space. (OPEN)

Nightlight blinked, snapping out of his trance. He rose to his full height, looking at the apprentice. "Just.. hm." He shrugged. "Nothing, really." The tom shook leaves from his fur. He looked the apprentice up and down, noting the tail. "You seem.. pretty happy. What's up with you?" He smiled at the apprentice, his tail curling around his paws. @SpiritedWarrior

“Oh, um…” Maplepaw licked his chest fur and looked back at the warrior. “Well… I just can’t wait to train, that’s all! Dawnstar’s been pretty busy though…”

((If you want, Nightlight can take Maplepaw to do some basic battle training))

Nightlight looked down at the apprentice, his gaze softening. "I get that. Being cooped up in the nursery for 6 moons is always pretty rough." Nightlight stretched, looking at the apprentice. "Are you excited? Being the leaders apprentice, I mean. Thats not a thing you see everyday." @SpiritedWarrior

“Yeah, of course! Dawnstar is a great warrior, I mean… she is ShadowClan’s leader!” Maplepaw smiled once more and perked his ears. “I still can’t get over the fact I was chosen to be her apprentice over everyone else!”

The apprentice took a step forward and laid down, enjoying the talk with Nightlight.

Nightlight nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Very busy, though." The tom picked leaf scraps from his pelt. "Don't rub it in." He said jokingly, laughing softly. His laugh was quiet and airy. "You know, I could try to teach you a bit of fighting. Defending yourself is important, now that you're an apprentice." He looked at the apprentice, with a questioning glance. @SpiritedWarrior

“Really? You don’t think Dawnstar would mind?” Maplepaw’s gaze brightened as he looked at Nightlight. “I’d love to! I can rip my claws into any cat’s pelt if I knew battle moves!”
