>Whisperpaw< Well, this was... certainly sudden. He was going to be perfectly honest, he hadn't expected some random warrior to just step up and offer to train him like this. It was a surprise to be sure, but a pleasant one all the same. Though he didn't quite appreciate being called 'boy' - he was older than that! |

{figured we could wrap this up and then start a new one sometime since it's been going on so long} With Shadepaw performing a second and much smoother dodge, Finchwhisker sufficed that they'd made a vast improvement during today's training session. "That's a wrap for today. We'll work on further refining your dodging and defense some other time." Having covered numerous attacks, as well as defensive strategies, Shadepaw would be walking out of this training session knowing more than some of the other apprentices in the clan who'd been around for moons now. He'd originally intended to get to one final activity, but this training session was dragging on, and the sun was also beginning to set. Night training was reserved for another time. And as much as he wanted to push Shadepaw to his maximum, he didn't want him to burn out entirely, so, they'd get to his additional plans in a few days. "I will say, you're quite the keen learner. Take that as you will. Keep practicing all the moves we've gone over on your own, and you'll be well on your way to becoming a competent warrior. We'll pick up with more training tomorrow." That being said, the brown tabby beckoned for Shadepaw to head back to camp, entirely content with all that had been accomplished. |

NO! He did not want to smell her butt! Letting out an undignified squeal as Stempaw thrust her rump into his face, Shrewstep fell back. Nope, not THAT committed to winning. Sure he could have bitten it, but at what cost? No, definitely time for a tactical retreat. Taking another hop backwards he waited for Stempaw to spin, hoping to firmly banish the bottom from anything he might be attacking. Eek, that had been worrying for a minute. @Zesty Mango

The sleek tom moved away from the cliffs edge, the suns light bouncing off perfectly kept claws as he flexed them into the training areas dirt. Tattered ears laid sharply against his head. |

>Whisperpaw< He let out a silent breath of relief as Halfblood turned away from the edge of the cliff. It was still there, still a danger, but a reduced one at this point. There was less of a risk he'd tumble over to his death. |

Dodging the legs extended, Shrewstep took a step back, deciding to allow Stempaw to get to her feet. Everything was getting a bit insane at the moment, and he needed a bit of a moment to compose himself. Taking a deep breath, he sent a paw flying towards her chest. It wasn't a powerful blow, but if he struck it might give a few scratches at least. |
