Jessica wiped her hands on her jumpsuit, looking up at Gwen. "Sorry... I guess I didn't realize how hungry I was..." She thought for a moment. "Where am I from? Um... It's complicated..." She said, sitting on the Companion Cube. She pulled on her jumpsuit where it opens to her neck. Am I getting bigger, or is this jumpsuit getting smaller?

*Jessica took a deep breath*

"From everything I can remember, I was used as a living test subject for something I was never told. A bunch of robots ran the place. I'm not sure how long I'd been down there, but something went wrong, and the entire facility kind of went, uh... Haywire? I don't know. I had a friend named Wheatley, who was a little sphere ai with a blue light as an eye and he ran on a track on the ceiling. He helped me though most of my adventures down there, as well as helping me use a portal gun that does exactly what is says it does. But something went wrong again when I attached my little Wheatley to the main AI that controlled the whole underground facility. I had to help the original AI, GLaDOS, which Wheatley had stuffed her head in a potato, don't ask why, I have no idea, get back to him and reattach her head as well as three other AI robots before the facility blew up. I succeeded, but I was forced to throw Wheatley's little robot head in space when I shot a portal at 'human moon' is what he called it. The facility is ok now, and GLaDOS freed me, telling me to never go back there. I actually arrived in these wheat fields out of a little shack. This cube I'm sitting on is called a Companion Cube. I have no idea what it does. But GLaDOS threw it out with me. Oh, and I lost my portal gun in space. There was one AI core that REALLY like space. He was actually the reason Wheatley was thrown in space."

*Jessica took a huge breath, barely stopping during all that to take a breath*

Gwen nodded slowly. What the hell? She clasped her hands together, seeing this girl in a whole different way. "Uhm, ok. Probably should tell you something. Maybe. Maybe not. I don't honestly know. Uh, Wheatley?" She laughed. "That's actually a really funny name. Funnier than mine. How did you ever take him seriously? With a name like that?" She laughed again. "Sorry. Anyway... Do you want to go into town? Maybe get you some ah... normal clothes?"

Jessica smiled at Gwen. "Oh, before he tried to kill me, he was so funny I couldn't help but laugh. One time he told me to turn around so he could hack a door. In reality, he simply broke it, and couldn't see that it was open. I had to go through it just so he could see it was open." She explained. She looked at her jumpsuit and boots. Her hair was messy and tangled in its ponytail, and Jessica was pretty dirty. "How am I going to bring my Companion Cube with me? It's tiring to try and roll this thing because of its shape and size. But I agree with you. But I'm keeping my boots on. They are special. They are one reason I am still alive."

"This cube is my last reminder of my robot friends in the underground facility I was in for so long. I am not giving it up. And these boots somehow stop me from getting hurt when I fall. So I can't, um... Take fall damage?"

Gwen stroked her chin comically. "Alright... uh, we can take it to my house I guess, maybe just keep it in my room? And I'm pretty sure most of my clothes would fit you. So what d'you think?"
