The kit sniffled noticing Shinefang stiffen while looking at her. She was confused, but to tired to make any noise about it. |

Re: The Infirmary
It was obvious by the jittering of the female's lips that she had never been sick to this extent. She was young, and hadn't had the chance to experience any illnesses, so having something as severe as greencough was certainly a surprise. Her tongue felt dry, her tonsils swollen and aching, and it was as if all of her energy had simply been sapped from her body. The once energetic and high-spirited Larkhowl has deteriorated down into an always-tired, useless Larkhowl; and she hated it. She wished that she could be of more use around the group, but her body and brain simply refused to follow through with her pleas. Larkhowl slumped forwards in her position, toes kneading the soil below them as some sort of a coping method; to get her through the exhaustion-filled days. And it worked for the most part, until her paws would start to cramp up and she'd have to roll onto her stomach once more. The tortoiseshell definitely wasn't a fan of her new lifestyle, that was for certain. Honestly, she couldn't wait for it all to be over. She couldn't wait to return to Windclan, but she also couldn't wait to return to her old life; where she provided for the clan and could help around the camp. Larkhowl just simply wished for her greencough to disappear. If only it was that easy though. @Cosmo |
Re: Quarantine Zone
It was a harsh leaf-bare this year, with prey being scarce, cats getting sick, and with the cold that made everything difficult. In the Quarantine Zone, a den set up for sick cats , lay in the corner a small, round shape, a young cat, his small eyes were closed and his ears were relaxed. He was apparently sleeping, he shifted in his sleep, looking content. Suddenly a wracking cough shook through his little body, the apprentice was obviously not doing well, he opened his eyes sleepily, yawned . The young cat, who went by the name Littlepaw, glanced around him, there were quite a few other cats here, who were also sick, yet he wondered if something would happen, sighed and stood, shaking, and padded to the water puddle for a drink , gently lapping up the water while still shaking. He has had multiple sclerosis since he was born; every cat in RiverClan knew. But there wasn't a cure, so his constant shaking was normal for him. The Whitecough didn't help things, however. Once he finished his water he settled down and gazed around him. @Pisces |

a black chausie was laying down across the spot littlepaw was laying ,his eyes narrowed which never seemed to change , his head was sort of raised as he was trying to give off the look that he was fine, he didn't like looking weak it irritated him in a way. But looks aside he felt like foxdung, his eyes felt stingy and heavy his breathing wasn't normal in his terms and wheezed occasionally if he was up and about and he just felt...sluggish...He felt glued to the ground and didn't want to go anywhere most of the time. Wolfpaw grumbled but wince as his throat burned, why was he even here? He shouldn't have even gotten sick! How could he? He's a strong apprentice . His mentor Honeychirp would be so disappointed by the time he gotten better. His training will be held back along with his warrior ceremony ! That made him hiss . The tom folded his ears back as he glared at most of the cats here, he wished he could just hurry the healing pace up,it was taking moons! starclan what did I do to you for you to have to do this to me?! he growled again at that as his back fur bristled ,what has he done? Wolfpaw settled his eyes on Littlepaw another fellow riverclanner, for some reason he grew a liking to him, maybe it was because of how sheltered he seemed to be? He didn't truly know why but he gave a tiny smile at him before he stood up as his legs shook from feeling ill. He wheezed as he took a few steps and stopped to actually cough a few times before fully making his way over to the tom, he gave littlepaw a smile with a friendly flash in eyes before laying down next to him "hey ....squirt" he greeted his breathing sounding labored a bit as he did. |
Re: Quarantine Zone
Stormcloud coughed and wheezed, her breathing ragged from the mucus buildup in her throat. She looked at the freshkill pile in the quarantine, uninterested in food. She coughed again and tried to keep herself warm by licking her fur the wrong way. It had worked as a kit, and it worked now. She was soon warming up.

Re: The Infirmary
@Peachy Tail dragging the long haired kitten stumbled her way into the temporary healing place. The calico wasn't sure what it was called she was just told by a warrior to go in her to get treated by one of the Medicine cats. What was this?! She felt so weird. Her throat was sour from coughing and her nose was runny plus she was freezing no matter how warm she tried to get. Small frame stopping the molly looked around not sure what to do. Who was even here? Mine buzzing she wanted to call the only name she knew. D -daydream? The words never left her mouth. "Hello?" Faithkit's voice was a bit horse and squeaky her normal high spirited tone warn down. It hurt to speak. Wait no Daydream isn't here they stairs at ShadowClan. The realization hit her just before she called the Medicine cat's name aloud. Going into a coughing fit the small molly pinned her ears. The tortoiseshell and white kit didn't know who was here, which wasn't something she was used too and it felt weird. Being sick sucked. |
Re: Quarantine Zone
Lionstorm faintly chuckled, gazing at the weak apprentice as he took a step back. Just beyond his reach. "Yeah, don't make me change my mind. I am mean and tough." To illustrate his point, he puffed his chest with a smirk. "I could snap in a heartbeat! Don't take my mercy for granted." Realistically, it wouldn't happen-- despite being worried, Lionstorm was in a good mood.
"Hey," his voice softened. "I should probably head back. Do you need anything else before I go?" @Dipper |
Re: Quarantine Zone
"Mean and tough," Fawnpaw repeated, mind hazy. "Yeah, looking after me all the way here really brings it out of you." From what he could recall, Lionstorm hadn't given a reason beyond seeing him, so that had to count for something; cliches aside, it was from the good of his heart that he'd led him to Seastones and carried him most of the distance. The part about snapping and his mercy drew a small laugh from Fawnpaw, and he squirmed lightly, enough to make room in the nest.
Pawing at the ratty nest materials, he admitted softly, "I guess it'd be nice if, uh... maybe you'd stay." It was a vulnerable request, his eyes pleading, and he didn't want to have to stay here alone with the strange cats from all Clans in a camp that felt open, dangerous. "I know it's kind of a dumb thing to ask for, I was just sort of hoping... that you might." @BILL. |
Re: Quarantine Zone
Lionstorm shook his head, glancing briefly at the open space in the nest. What did the apprentice want him to do, stay in the sickness infested camp? No thanks. Giving Fawnpaw company wasn't worth being exposed to the illness that plagued the Clans.
"I can't," he told him. He refused to-- this place was disgusting, and Lionstorm wanted to remain in prime condition. "I'll visit you, but I'm not staying in this camp." @Dipper |
