His claws dripping a few, small drops of red blood onto the sand, Shrewstep faced Stempaw. Her lunge was unexpected, and all he could do was drop to the ground, flattening himself to the sand. He didn't drop quite quickly enough, and while her paws didn't make contact with his eyes or other easily injured parts, they did draw a nasty red line across the top of his head, and took a small nick from his ear. Jumping to his feet after she passed, Shrewstep whirled quickly to face Stempaw. Dipping his left shoulder and moving swiftly to the side, he was rushing forward an instant later, heading for her underbelly. If there was a place to deal damage, that was it. He wouldn't be clawing and biting with full force if he did get under there, but it would be a small show of control. If he got under there. |

Shrewstep hadn't expected Stempaw to expose her belly, that was generally the LAST thing you wanted to do in a fight. Staying on all four paws, he sent one of his paws flying towards her belly, as if to rip her open. To end the fight right then and there. And then he jerked back, stopping his paw before it could cut deep into his clanmates flesh. His knees buckled and he smashed to the ground, paws folded beneath him, as Stempaw collapsed onto him, and after a few, meek struggles he went limp beneath the apprentice. Had he really been able to do it, the blow that was almost a killing blow? He hadn't realized.......was he really that vicious, that violent? He wouldn't have done that moons ago, would he? Surely not? |

Re: ShadowClan Training Cliffs
Scrambling to his feet and shaking out his pelt, the sand flying a bit more than he might have liked, Shrewstep turned quickly to Stempaw. Her question was a reasonable one, sometimes warriors got bored. But that wasn't why she had won. That was ok. he mewed flatly, not sure how much to praise her. It wasn't as though he had been instantly defeated, and it wasn't as though he had crushed her either. We were pretty well matched. When he thought about it, she was just about his age. Her spell of time away from the clan was the only reason she wasn't a warrior yet if he had to guess. @Zesty Mango

@Rxmulus (Snailpaw) Wildfire had always wanted an Apprentice of her own. She was still a young Warrior, but it was hard for her not to think of how exciting it'd be to be responsible for another cat's Warrior training! Heck...her mentor hadn't been the greatest, considering he acted like her dad all the time and wanted to shield her from all the fun stuff! Since she didn't have one, she made her way to the Training Cliffs with the hope of finding an Apprentice to work with. She'd gone out there on her own all the time to train with friends when she was younger! |
