The SQUWAR of a Crow made the apprentice startle. Blue eyes wide, the chubby little little stumbled back from the edge of the cliff. A few stones crumbled under her three remaining paws; for a brief moment, she saw her entire pathetic life flash before her eyes-- from the last time she saw her mother, to the gaping jaws of the elder who stole her dignity, and then the glimmer of Dawnstars orbs.

Wait! She wasn't dead. Instead, she was cowering at the paws of the warrior. Snailpaw felt a heat flush her plump fluffy cheeks before she stumbled to stand, clearing her throat.

"C-can... we pretend you didn't just watch me flail like a fish from the cliff edge," she whispered, meow breaking between words as she tried to keep it high-pitched.

@Rxmulus (Snailpaw)
(Yeah, sure! Is the font okay or do you want me to change that or the size so it's easier to read?)

Wildfire's head snapped to the side when a cat came barreling in her direction. She hadn't expected this poor Apprentice to prostrate at her paws, but it seemed that was what happened whether Wildfire liked it or not.

"Uh, hey!" Wildfire said with a cheery flick of her tail. It was difficult to try and make what'd just happened seem less awkward, but Wildfire had her own moments from time to time. "It's okay! Why don't you get up and dust yourself off?" She looked around to check whether anybody else had seen Snailpaw's little fumble. "It seems like it was just you and I, so don't worry!" she added, tilting her head and letting Snailpaw see her carefree smile.

The little fleabag was better at this than he had suspected for a deformed runaway. He would have to sacrifice one; the face of the legs?

Halfblood let the first hit bump him not he nose in favour of dodging the leg swipe. He jumped backwards for a moment but within a flash of black fur, he'd jumped off of a nearby dead tree trunk and aimed to land directly on Whisperpaws back.

>Whisperpaw<
He'd really been hoping Halfblood would duck the attack headed for his face so Whisperpaw could sweep him off of his paws, but that wasn't the case. He grimaced and tried to backpedal, regather his breath before rushing forward once more, but it seemed that Halfblood beat him to it.

His jaws parted with a quiet gasp as the warrior jumped back and seemed to twist in the air. He tried to turn with the other tom and track his movement, but he wasn't fast enough. Halfblood vanished from his field of vision before his weight crashed down onto Whisperpaw's back. He collapsed to the ground with a cough as his breath was driven from his lungs, and tried to roll over so he could batter at Halfblood's face but found that he was... stuck.

With a grunt he went limp, disappointed by the outcome of the short spar.

Normally, Shadowmoon would be out patrolling, or hunting. She liked to hunt, but today, she found herself coming to the training cliffs with Venompaw. She had no idea where his mentor was, or why the young apprentice wasn't getting his training properly, but she sought to correct that immediately.

"Alright Venompaw. Before we start, tell me, what do you know?" She asked. The small grey and cream molly turned to him and canted her head to one side, soft green eyes gleaming with expectation, and a gentle reassurance.

Venompaw shuffled a bit on his paws before looking around. He wasn’t sure all the moves his father had taught him were legal per say. Well he was about to find out, he thought at least.

“Do I attack you or a tree?” He asked a bit sarcastically. He wasn’t sure where his father was and it was getting to him. Deeply. He was just agitated and he really wanted to fight something.

A brow raised in question to Venompaw's, and Shadowmoon couldn't tell if her was being serious or not. "Why would you attack a tree? Trees don't fight back, threaten you or your Clan, or steal prey." She replied quietly. "Attack me. But remember to keep your claws sheathed; We don't use claws to train."

Re: ShadowClan Training Cliffs

Adderflower entered the training area, her tail slashing. Buzzardpaw was going to be her first apprentice, and as she already didn’t hold much value of her she had to make her an amazing warrior otherwise Adderflower herself would be looked down upon. That thought made her bristle. Buzzardpaw had some spark in her, that was for sure. Too bad that spark made her insufferable. She sat down and waited for Buzzardpaw to get closer.

We are going to start with battle training. I believe that being able to show that you have power over your attacker is the most important trait to have. If you look like a scared dimwit rabbit no one will take you for an actual force to be reckoned with.” Adderflower spoke, her ear twitching, holding back her though of buzzardpaws size being a factor in that. No matter she would grow.

“For now let’s see what your instincts allow you to do, not that I expect anything, but let’s just see for the fun of it.” Adderflower’s eyes gleamed as she dropped into a crouch.

I’m going to attack you now, try not to allow me to flip you over. Oh and remember not to die. “ she declared, her voice dripping in a mixture of excitement and slight mockery.

Finchpaw walked into the training area, today was meant to be his first lesson with his mentor and despite the toms confidence in himself he was a bit nervous. This was Finchwhisker! He couldn’t make himself look like a fool infront of the deputy. He sat in the center, waiting for Finchwhisker to appear.

The apprentice walked up to the training cliffs and turned around to face her mentor. "So what are we going to do?" she mewed.

"you shouldn't run off like that." buzzardpaw commented, finally catching up and following adderflower onto the cliffs. she stood a fox length or so away from the older she-cat, listening to her speak with s twitch of the ear. thank the stars they weren't learning dumb hunting techniques, at least adderflower was somewhat sensible-- something she had concluded at the rabbit part.

she took a step backwards, glaring at adderflower once she dropped down into a crouch. she let out a huff at the comment, eyes widening a bit as she learned she was going to be attacked.

"you should remember to not die!" she scoffed, claws unsheathing and scraping against the ground. she eyed adderflower with narrowed eyes, dropping into a not so good crouch, waiting for her mentor to attack.

Adderflower huffed in amusement at the unsheathed claws. At least Buzzardpaw was sensible enough to understand she would need them to hold her off.

Your stance is going to be the end of you,” she declared and then immediately jumped at the apprentice. She dived low and twisted as she slid under the apprentices belly, her paws ready to push Buzzardpaw into the air with a kick.
