Cuckookit sat in the clearing fluffing her pelt as she enjoyed the last few days of Full-leaf before Leaf-fall came to play.

The day had been going good. She had been watching kits play in the clearing and apprentices scuffling. She was about to go find herself a piece of prey when she heard a worried meow come from one of her kits. Turning around to see who it was, she saw Daykit running to her. As he spoke, she felt the fur along her spine rise in fear. How had Peachkit escaped? Where was she??

Looking around for her other children, she saw Larkpaw, Sagepaw and Birchpaw. "Sagepaw, Birchpaw! Come here! Larkpaw, you too." She hoped that they'd be able to find the kit before it was too late. "Sagepaw, you're in charge of keeping your siblings safe. Birchpaw, you are going to stay with Nettlekit, Daykit, and Eggkit. Larkpaw, you're coming with me." She turned to Daykit, giving him a small lick on the head. "You stay here, okay? Stay with your siblings and I'll be back soon."

It didn’t take long for Larkpaw to be stationed at Dappledleaf’s side. The grey-ish brown apprentice’s ears flicked as she bent to lick the top of Daykit’s head. “We’ll be back soon.” Larkpaw told him gently instead of promising Peachkit’s reurn. Daykit didn’t need to be babied, but Lark knew how hard it was to realize that a sibling was gone, lost. In fact, she wasn’t even sure if Peachkit could be found. But Lark would keep the negative thoughts to herself, not speak of them out loud to cause both her adoptive mother and brother worry.

“Ready when you are.” She told Dappledleaf, pushing herself back onto her full height to meet the former queen’s worried gaze.

They curled their tail around Kinkcloud protectively, "It's okay, my mum's got this covered". Mistyflight meanwhile, was bristling, "Kinkcloud is your son whether you like it or not. By the way, kits literally can't take care of themselves, it's kinda why queens even exist", she added sarcastically before continuing, "Your lack of empathy, plus your sour and demeaning attitude has made you fail as both a warrior and a father. Your son deserved a better father, just like his mother deserved a better mate". Oh-and also", she got real close to him, giving him the stink-eye, "My name's Mistyflight, never call me she-cat again".

Sagepaw and Birchpaw immediately sprang into action, rounding up Daykit and heading back into the nursery with him. "Please find Peachkit, Ma." Sagepaw mewed, concern and worry clouding his green eyes. Birchpaw didn't say anything, but had the same look as her brother.

Dappledleaf nodded to her kids, turning to Larkpaw. "Let's get going. Foxes or badgers would be after her." She ran out into the forest.

Sorrelflare was resting in the camp, his tail flicking lazily as he watch the others of the clan. He was observing them, to get a better read on them. His ears flicked slightly as well.

The cat blinked, they didn't have anything to do at the moment, so instead they just observed those in the clearing.

Slytiger stretched languidly as he glanced around the camp clearing. He should get to know some of his Clanmates more, especially since he knew more about ShadowClan and how the cats here liked to do things. Maybe one of the Toyger's Clanmates would be up for some hunting or a spar? Green eyes scanned the clearing, looking for anyone approachable.
